As a serious answer:

"Yes, but....." It’s already possible to integrate neural cells to electronics:

http://www.inc.com/magazine/20091201/innovation-giving-sight-to-the-blind.html
but broadcasting thoughts would take more work. We don’t fully understand what makes up a specific “thought” yet, and once we do, we will have to come up with a method of transmission and playback, since the brain doesn’t communicate in something like TCP/IP.
Probably an early adaptation of the concept would look like what is done in Strange Days:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114558/
Which is a fantastic (if rather kinky) movie based around the ability to record and play back experiences.

If you want some really good far-future concepts around human/computer interface, take a look at "The Quantum Thief” by “Hannu OhJesusI’mNotGoingToTryAndPronounceThatLastName.”
http://www.amazon.com/The-Quantum-Thief-Hannu-Rajaniemi/dp/0765329492
He’s going some amazing concepts around both interface and what exactly is “self”.
(please forgive typos…. It’s late)

What's a "long weekend"? lol I work Security for a blood processing site. In the last year I've never had a holiday off. Oh and holiday pay gets shafted due to overtime (don't ask, I don't understand either).

When I have a chance I liek to explore the areas around Portland. I spend tons of time n steam/discord. Stardew Valley, Warframe, visual novel; Black Mirror is AWESOME! I'm getiing Supergirl done in bits and pieces. (I know i'm sounding pretty boring). I read too! Fantasy/Norse god influence reccomendation I Bring the Fire, I mean, if you like Loki...this is gonna be awesome! Otherwise, The Eden Project (but it may be more scifi than fantasy)

I host a regular Dominion game with other redditors, which is a game a lot like Magic: The Gathering and a tiny bit like hold'em. Previous meetup events here: http://www.meetup.com/NYC-Redditors/events/30012491/ & http://www.meetup.com/NYC-Redditors/events/28428671/

Amazon description of the game here: http://www.amazon.com/Rio-Grande-Games-RGG370-Dominion/dp/B001JQY6K4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314746416&sr=8-1

It's a great, low-pressure way to meet fellow redditors. And while it's like M:tG, there's no expense on your end-- I've bought the game and all expansions, which is all you need to host up to 8 people. Would you be interested in that? We're happy to teach new people. If so, let me know and I'll be happy to let you know when the next game is and/or you can subscribe to the reddit meetup NYC group to be automatically notified of that and other events.

He suffered from bipolar, unfortunately, and it tainted his career (he would take too many anti-depressants and pass out on-stage, and things like that).

Very big shame, though, as from the precious little live videos that exist, he was a beast:

I'm really good, although it's the next day now that I am getting around to replying! :)

Sitting here in my PJs, listening to a baby babbling, nomming on a chorizo and egg taco, putting off housework. The standard day off around here!

From the research I have done and the testing (with packed bags while hiking a few miles, to test stress points), it's important to get one that can support the right weight and not overburden yourself. Everyone - men and women alike, I think - wants to think they're stronger than they are. What I've read says your bag shoudl be no heavier than 1/3 of your body weight for men and 1/4 for women. So getting something that can hold that much securely AND have ways to balance out the load is important. You can't expect your shoulders alone to bear that load, or lower back in a bad fitting bag.

This is the one that I am using currently. It has lots of ties downs, which I love, so I can attach things I would need to keep handy to the outside of it. The straps are super tough and it's big enough to carry a lot. For me, it's almost too big though, but for a man, it would be good. I like it this way though.

If you're buying this for your lady and she's busty, be aware that you will likely need to sew extensions into the front straps. It's not comfortable or supportive to let them lay above your breasts. They should go across, from what I've found when walking with it, so grab a bit of extra canvas strapping and heavy duty thread and give her a few extra inches to allow for the boobage. These bags are nearly always designed for men.

Hi. How are you doing?
If you want to vent, let me help you. PM me.

Also if you want to talk about specifics drop by /r/depression.
If you want to try something that might help you, try this book. It has been recommended by some people on that thread. You can usually find a copy online if you look for it.

All the best!

My all-time favorite book is Katherine Dunn's Geek Love. Though it's set in the real world it leans more towards fantasy than science fiction. But I know several science fiction fans who thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I think it might be to your liking as well.

I read the first and second book but won't go any further. I love the show too much and don't want to get spoiled by the books. If that makes ANY sense, ha.

You should buy this and wear it around. People will absolutely start talking to you about GoT

Oh man, what bad news.

Creole is the original, which I find pretty bland. Now there is Bold and More Spice, which didn't use to exist. I hope Cajun (just a little spicy) got rebranded. Wikipedia wasn't helpful, so I'm looking at the company website.

Edit: looks like it was rebranded as More Spice, based off of the product description found here: Tony Chachere's More Spice Creole Seasoning - 14 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001Q1J3QY

Hi Pizza Safeword,

I hope it is not intrusive to share this; my sister is 32 and lost the love of her life this spring after 2 years of glioblastoma treatment. In all the anguish of trying to fit pieces back together these past few months, she said reading The Year of Magical Thinking has been especially comforting. It is an autobiographical book on bereavement (specifically of a partner). There's no wrong way to grieve, best wishes in your continued path.

>Ideally, I'd want to do this in places where I really can't talk back

Well, there's also this if that's what you're into. (not safe for browser)

If you have any blades that need sharpening, this[1] is a recent purchase I made that has been pretty fun.

I just used a little water (you can use water or oil) and I got my dull pocket knife very sharp in just a minute or two. Able to cut through paper and all that. Could also work on scissors or a kitchen knife. It should last a very long time.
