This is what I use for my face/chest every morning. It's pretty much just normal lotion with spf in it. I definitely recommend trying it.

I realize that these two stories are just anecdotes to you, and you will probably never change your mind that drugs are bad man, but I'm also basing my opinion on working for over 20 years in the F&B business. I've worked behind line, waited tables, bussed, parked cars, dish dogged, tended bar, and managed front of the house. I've known both people that used alcohol and weed (and coke) to get through a shift, and those who did not. In my experience, drugs and alcohol use had very little to do with whether someone was useful in a kitchen or not.

If you are at all interested in what a crappy job it really is, you should read Anthony Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly sometime. It's a pretty no-holds-barred look at working in a restaurant in NYC in the late 80's - early 90's. It's changed some, but not all that much.

Mine is 20 pounds, I think. It’s comprised of little beads, no chains. I’m pretty sure this is the one I have

Edit: luckily, the beads don’t roll around very much since the blanket is made of little squares so they can’t roll that far.

Just was looking at my old comments, and figured I’d add the additional info.

Slightly more expensive but I can’t recommend this white noise machine highly enough. We bought it for our baby but 10 minutes in the room with it on and I start nodding off.

Neither of which really compare exactly. You can actually buy Brown Sauce as it is usually called on amazon.

I wonder if Bruce Canon Gibney, David Willetts, Joseph Sternberg, and PJ O'Rourke (for God's sake!) are all also part of this troll farm, or just unwitting dupes. 🤔

Like basically all questions of evolutionary psychology, there are no "correct"/"incorrect" answers or "definitive" sources. There's just different scientists with different opinions that are based on a lot of assumptions. Since I wasn't the one who claimed there was a "consensus", I'm not going to go through the big effort of tracking down all the sources out there, but I double-majored in psych and behavorial neuroscience so I know that there's a a lot, on all sides. I'm not trying to argue for a particular stance, just arguing against the idea that there is a "consensus". There's a lot more to this field than just Sex at Dawn.

You've gotta look at comparative neuroanatomy (we have similar wiring to other monogamous species), anthropological records (humans have a track record of monogamy that is much longer than 1000 years and a record of pair-bonding that is older than marriage), contemporary psychological analyses (men experience more psychological damage than women do when infidelity strikes, women are attracted to different kinds of men depending on the time of the month) etc. as all pieces of a puzzle. It's not a simple cut-and-dry thing so skepticism is warranted.

If you're genuinely looking for something to read that takes a stand for monogamy, I enjoyed this book: Love Sense by Dr. Sure Johnson.

$20 my dude. these last me up to 10 hours.

Edit: just saw your other comment, disregard me.

I think it's definitely dishonest, but I think it's much more about generating outrage and establishing a brand. The guy clearly wants to be some kind of redpill cult leader. He's even written a self-help book, which is never a good sign for your personality. https://www.amazon.com/Live-Your-Best-Life-Days-ebook/dp/B07S6KY86R

I don't doubt that an ancient historian of questionable credibility may have mentioned a man who's name literally translates to "Son of the Father", but modern religious scholars pretty much universally agree that the story of Barabbas as it applies to Jesus was a creation of St. Mark.

Evidence 1) There is no documentation outside of the gospels of a tradition in Jerusalem (or elsewhere) that calls for the release of a prisoner at passover.

Evidence 2) Even if there was, there's no way Pontius Pilate would allow it in this case since the release of a man convicted of insurrection against the Roman Empire would have been a crime in and of itself.

Evidence 3) The original Hebrew texts refer to Barabbas as "Yeshua Bar Abba" (Jesus Barabbas), which leads many to believe that Jesus and Barabbas are actually the same person, as they had both been arrested by the Romans and were on trial for sedition. There never was an actual choice between them, but rather different perspectives of the same man: One a peaceful protester, the other a dangerous rebel rouser.
