the 512 gb ssd is really useful and the keyboard types nicely. Its also pretty light and thin, no complaints yet.
Why not just pull the HDD/SSD out and connect it to another computer?
Go to resnet, ask nicely, and they will probably do it for you if you bring them an external hdd or big enough flash drive.

Or just don't buy it. I've purchased five textbooks total during my first three years, one of which was Advanced Mathematics Techniques, a class not taught at RIT.
Where you go is not who you'll be.
There are many other incredible reasons to pick a college. I waited tables with a Harvard grad, and my highest paid friend right now is a high-school educated software developer. The reason I picked RIT over schools in Chicago and Vermont were numerous, and had only to do with my time there. Not after.
Sadly, I haven't seen any bawls drinks since CompUSA closed down. Your best bet is off of Thinkgeek, or Xoxide Amazon if you want the G33K B33R flavor.
For clothing and bedding use vacuum bags. Saves a ton of space and are much more easily stored than suitcases or duffel bags. Maybe bring one small to medium sized rollerboard to use when you go home for vacation
