It really depends on how much you want to spend I think, but as a Sailor Moon fan myself, here's what I would want:

  Now this one is pretty unique and custom and would be a pretty cool gift too, a "Name" painted as Sailor Moon Characters.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but I think that plush is a bootleg/counterfeit. She came from China, right? Pretty much everything from there is unofficial.

That being said, she still looks good! I would just suggest trying to get the others from sellers in the UK, since that's where I'm assuming you are from the eBay link. (That way you know the others will be even higher quality and you're supporting the license/Toei.)

Season 5 (Sailor Stars) is available with subtitles on Hulu right now. The company doing the new dub is still working on season 3, but there's a strong chance they will get to Sailor Stars in a few years.

The Stars arc of the comic was translated and released both in the 1990's and with the recent re-release. You can find the 1990's version online and the re-release in any bookstore or online store such as Amazon. This is probably the "two different versions" you're talking about.

If the comic has "StarS" on the cover underneath "Sailor Moon" (example: https://www.amazon.com/Sailor-Moon-Stars-Naako-Takeuchi/dp/1892213702) then it's the old 1990's release. If it does not (example: http://a.co/eg29yyy) then it's the new release.

The new release is much, much better than the old one, btw.

I think those are cute gift ideas. I ordered this for myself (except the sailor jupiter one) because I thought it was so cute as a pen!! Maybe you can get her a pen as well for her office to go along with the figurines? Does she have a favorite sailor?

If she likes Sailor Moon Crystal, she may prefer the Crystal version of the Sailor Moon figuarts.

If she does prefer classic Sailor Moon, then she may also like Super Sailor Moon. There are Super versions of the rest of the senshi being released now, so she may want to continue that collection.

I don't know if she wants the "best" version of the manga, but Eternal Editions of the manga will start releasing next year. The set you linked is a great collection, though. That's the first of two sets of the most current form of the manga released in the US.

Pro tip: Go on amazon and click on a shirts even if you don’t want them, because when you open it there is sometimes like 20 completely different designs and you will probably like some of them.

As someone that has them on Laser Disc, I would say that there is no cheap way to get good quality version of Sailor Moon legally right now. The Japanese imports are out of print, but even ordering them for 3rd parties off Amazon Japan will probably run you over a grand for every episode and movie. I wouldn't recommend buying the US ADV box if you find it, even for cheap because the quality is absolutely horrible. Your best bet are to hunt around for torrents or recommended bootlegs, that way you will get them uncensored, uncut, and subtitled.

All of Codename: Sailor V (two volumes) has been released. Sailor Moon is only on book two of the twelve main story books (with the two additional short stories books on the way as well). Books are being released every other month.
