I agree with some of the other people that an 'experience' gift would be cool, a concert or spa day, but those aren't always feasible so I'll give you some gift gifts that have worked great for my mom.

Handmade soap! I was gifted some from here a while ago and it is amazing.

Some necklaces here and here off of etsy. I'm getting the gold one for my mom, I love the other one too.

I just discovered this expansion pack for Cards Against Humanity called Crabs Adjust Humidity and it looks AMAAAZING. Getting that for the family for Christmas. While getting the link I just noticed there are a few volumes too. Basically from the preview they look 10x as outrageous as regular CAH.

Have you heard of Humans of New York? He put out two books, one of them is 'Little Humans' that focuses on the kids he's taken pics of. My mom used to be a kindergarten teacher so I think it'll be great for her, kinda depends more on what your mom is like or if she'd be into that sort of thing. The other book would be more 'universally liked' but this one just came out this year.

Your mom sounds kinda zany so she might like this book too. I've given his books for several gifts to various people. They're just super chill and a lot of the pics have a neat message. I tore out several pages and have them framed around my house so maybe even buying the book for yourself and framing a page could be cool.

I got my mom a Sephora perfume sampler thing for Mother's day. One of those that comes with like 10 mini vials and then with a coupon for a free full size bottle of whichever she liked best.

Is she into makeup stuff? A birchbox subscription could be cool. I used to have one, they send you samples and sometimes full sized items once per month. There are a number of companies that do that too so you could shop around.

This is....kind of weird... but seriously the reviews are amazing. And it actually is like the most healthy way to do it. I'm getting one for me and my parents for xmas. They have a two pack for cheaper. It's kind of awkward but if your family is like that (mine are a bunch of jokesters) then it might be fine!

Wellll that's about all I can think of right now, hopefully something helped!!

Okay! Here's my ideas for crowd-pleasers, that I think you can't go wrong with.. so you have to get 7 presents for £100, that's £14 each. Let's say you get them mostly off Amazon, so that you can get all of them shipped at once. However, I've suggested some gifts you could also get from shops around you, so that if you need to visit in person/avoid shopping, you could do that. Note however that it's free delivery week on Amazon right now so that should help.

In teen fiction or adult? I don't think I've read any adult books recently (published in last two years) that would be appropriate for a 13 year old.

Stardust: Quirky, fun and Neil Gaiman. His writing and stories are very strange so people either like them or they don't (I don't). However, my friends swear by this book.

Kingkiller: Badass hero, epic journey, epic story. Ultimately along the same difficulty as Sword of Shanara/LOTR and is probably super boring for a 13 year old.

Let me think: Game of Thrones is neither appropriate nor well written. Lackey is still amazing, but has strong homosexual and relationship themes. I think I waited to read her old stuff until I was 13, but her new stuff is just as -- well, her... Terry Brooks has a new series, but it is more political than Rothfuss. All the modern mystery/suspense is very sexual. I'm reading Abercombie right now, but don''t feel confident recommending it since I'm not done. Keyes reminds me of old-school high fantasy -- really, really dense and hard to digest for a 13 year old.

Popular

Divergent, as he already read, was quite good. Hunger Games and Maze Runner are in the same genre, but both are quite a bit darker than Divergent (stupid mind control and very Lord of the Flies-esque).

I think my best modern recommendation is:
Rick Riodran: Generally awesome teen male fiction. I've read the greek (percy) and egyptian series. They are fun and very similar to harry potter in tone.

Other

Throne of Glass: Not super popular, but definitely good! I haven't had the chance to read the sequels, but the first stuck with me.

Mistborn: water-downed Trudi Canarvan. Poor girl becomes a magician/assassin who totally kicks butt. Some almost-rape scenes (2 I think).

Intisar Khanani - I got a chance to read her newest book before it was released. She is the modern equivalent of Tamora Pierce and definitely someone to watch in the future. Great - Great author, but doesn't have an established series.

If he ends up liking the Dark Elf Trilogy -- The forgotten realms are STILL making books.

I'd say that Mortal Instruments (Girl meets demon hunter -- kind of a less cool version of Bleach), anything John Green writes (watered down Nicholas Sparks), Tiger's Curse (awesome epic adventure, but kinda creepy), and the Iron Fey series are too girly.

I recently read a free kindle book that would be awesome. It was a watered-down, less rape-y/fetishy version of The Sword of Truth. I can't find it. I'll have to get back to you on that. It had dragons and magic and bad-assery in a generic fantasy way. There was also another one with lots of dragons and he had power over them... hmmm... I might be losing my mind.

Throwing out a bunch of suggestions!

Dad: Cleveland Browns beer mug/glass/etc, Browns pillow, blanket. Rush: The Illustrated History. A care package of things to do while recovering from surgery.

Mom: Nice household things, maybe some handprinted dishtowels or other sort of unique thing (etsy is the place to go! Poke around there for ideas) Jewelry (Alex+Ani possibly? It entirely depends on her taste, but there's a bunch of options and they all have like symbolism and stuff).

Sister: Alabama drinkware. Cocktail accessories, kits, recipe books. Apparently there's a signature Alabama cocktail, perhaps you could acquire all the elements and create an Alabama Slammer kit.

Brother: my knowledge of MMORPGs is pretty limited but I'm sure if you search around on here you'll find suggestions for people similar to him. Maybe a sort of "The Stuff You Didn't Know You Needed at College, But Now Realize You Need" care package? (I hope that makes sense! The christmas after my first semester I realized I needed a bathrobe, slippers, more storage things, etc.)

Fiance: Again, I'm not super knowledgeable on his interests so I'm not the best help, but I think even just a really nice card/letter would be good. Is there anything from your relationship you could recreate/bring up again/reference/etc. that's sentimental or special (or even just an inside joke)?

From the looks of it, you really seem to appreciate all the qualities that these people bring to your life and want to give something that'll live up to that. Tell them all this! Tell them they're special and meaningful! They would probably love a nice card/note/letter from you expressing all of this.

I may be late to the party, but it seems you haven't received many suggestions.

For her decorating spirit, this book, The Perfectly Imperfect Home: How to Decorate and Live Well, seems like a great fit as the book is wonderfully written, not just photos and ideas, but it looks amazing nonetheless. You probably wouldn't go wrong with a cute jewelry box in pink, a quality one - on Amazon I've seen cheap looking ones or pretty expensive ones, although quality stuff.

Since she loves gardening, maybe she'd like a metal bicycle-shaped planter, beautiful to have in the garden. Or a gardening kit with high quality tools.

-Hedgehog ear buds- I can't speak for the quality, but they're cute!

-String of cute christmas lights. There are all sorts of lights, with hearts, or paper lanterns, etc, but I remember christmas lights being great for dorm rooms because they were more gentle than the obnoxious florescent lights that were in the dorms. Perfect for watching a movie or having friends over.

-Travel spoon/fork/chopsticks. It's always nice to have a plate, cup, and a few utensils in the room for when she doesn't feel like going to the dining hall and just wants easy mac. You could also try to find a cute bowl and cup on amazon to go with the utensils!

I assume your girlfriend is going away to college, so if none of these ideas sound good, there's nothing corny about getting a picture of you two, and framing decorating it.

Has he applied for any jobs yet? I was given one of those leather pads with paper inside and a holder for resumes (something like this) except it was from my undergrad university with their emblem. Definitely gives you some confidence for interviews and recruiting sessions. Also you can get him some nice resume paper to go with it. That lasted me for years.

I also enjoyed having one or two of these demotivational posters in my room. Depends on his humor and if he has barren walls like I did.

If you know more details about which raspberry pi he has, you could get some shield extensions. These are boards that expand its capabilities. There are also newer boards with better specs. Also with two boards you can of course make them talk to each other ;)

Depends on his area of interest and your budget, but you could get him some kind of [introductory FPGA kit] (http://store.digilentinc.com/fpga-programmable-logic/) or DE0-Nano.

Tools... so many tools he might be interested in. USB logic analyzers are so cheap these days and go well with hobby boards. Again not sure your budget, so you can go all sorts of ranges here (Open Workbench Logic Sniffer or scanaplus or Saleae Logic 8 or a china clone of Saleae Logic 8). Saleae or the knockoff I think are the better options for the software compatibility. He may be in need of a soldering iron or a multimeter.

Something else unique, you could get him a "gift card" (they don't really sell them) or an IOU to a PCB printing service. Ask him to design his own board and you'll pay $X of the service. You'll want to make sure he knows the price structure on the website because they charge per square inch and it depends on his design how many layers he may need. He makes the schematic and they will print some circuit boards for him. They won't mount the parts, just do the schematic and he would have to hand solder the components.

If he likes old videogames you could get him some old school USB controllers and tell him to install lakka on his rasberry pi, or just get him a new Raspberry Pi3 to dedicate it as an old-school console emulator. It is quite impressive how many consoles they have emulated.

And back to more tools... more micro screwdriver bits than you would actually need. You can get him a starter pack of resistors, capacitors, and other assorted electronics sparkfun. There are also so many buttons, switches, LED screen displays, etc. that he probably wouldn't want to buy on his own. Maybe you could get a container with an assortment of circuit components (resistors, capacitors, transistors, and other sensors). Careful! This can add up real quick. All types of sensors exist... ultrasonic rangefinder, stress, photocell, temperature, etc. etc. endless!.

Building off of the wine suggestion, I've had great success with gifting a trio of useful things that a) she might not have or b) might not have good versions of-- reusable wine stoppers, aerator, and decanter. All of them have some very pretty options, and depending upon what versions of each you get, it's generally possible to get a good bottle of wine to go with it. My friends and I call it the Intro to Vino kit, and it's one of our go to practical gifts.
Otherwise, check out caseify or society6 for great art that makes phone cases go from meh to practical and pretty. Society6 also offers several other things- one of my graduation presents was a gorgeous laptop sleeve from a favorite artist's shop. The gifting guide they put together is awesome and has some good stuff at multiple price points (the $25 and under section is most of interest to your family), and checking out the site will unearth even more great and practical stuff.
