Asia's quite a big place, where abouts are you from?
It looks like other commenters have kept you informed about most of your questions, but, as a student here for quite a while, I'd say most people walk everywhere!
The weather's been really rather mild this year, and the summer, if it matches last year, will be absolutely lovely. You shouldn't have to worry about anything but a rain coat/umbrella if you're coming over during the summer.
If you're curious about British customs, a lot of my friends from overseas have waxed rhapsodic about this book which gives a bit of an insight into British (particularly English) culture. The biggest shock for most is the necessity of verbal politeness and queuing. We queue for everything.
I really have no idea to be honest, Argos have the key safes for £25, that was just a quick Google, I'm sure there are other variations out there. I'd assume the better the safe, the more expensive. If you have a garden you could try these fake rock thingys which is £3, you could blend it in.
Had the same issue, went to walk in centre and they couldn't see my drum it was so blocked up. Used Ortex drops from Wilko/Co-op, the active stuff with urea seemed to work better. In addition to that I got one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acu-Life-Deluxe-Ear-Cleanser/dp/B000SOJXGA/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=ear+irrigation&qid=1554311905&s=gateway&sr=8-5 which after about 30 minutes of syringing released some massive black blobs of wax - not for the feint hearted.
Yeah, these seem a good shout, decent enough reviews and work out to £7 each. If you just want a single one I think it's only about £1 more.

Gonna second this comment. Had about 3 different friends live here and they never seemed to have any problems other than the odd sketchy character. Keep your wits about you and you'll be fine, maybe invest in something like [this] (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00126I3NM/ref=s9_top_hd_bw_bT8HbL_g147_i4?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-2&pf_rd_r=KE3B630XAVFFARPXK79Y&pf_rd_r=KE3B630XAVFFARPXK79Y&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=0d086ffc-4d77-4998-aa7d-39cd56668807&pf_rd_p=0d086ffc-4d77-4998-aa7d-39cd56668807&pf_rd_i=430488031) for your laptop. At the very least it would make a burglar re-consider taking your laptop or slow them down.
These work for me.
