Look at older ones. Metro 2033 is on sale on Amazon right now ( you'll get a key - add that to Steam, it'll be just like you bought it through Steam). The Total War series is a great RTS/TBS game (real-time battles, turn based empire running), I'd suggest Medieval II ($10) but they're all good (Empire and Shogun 2 have demos). I'd highly recommend Civilization IV Complete, but wait for it to go on sale, which shouldn't be more than a few months. Oblivion is another great game, lots of content (100+ hours easily, much more with mods) and not too expensive; it'll also be on sale for a good bit less before too long, so I'd suggest holding off. AudioSurf is great if you like music; it's hard to describe, so just try the demo. Just Cause 2 is a great sandbox; just fucking around is far more fun than completing the story, although the story is a good excuse to blow shit up. Space Pirates and Zombies is a fun top-down shooter developed by redditors, with lots of free content updates planned (some has already been released). The best bang for your buck is probably going to be The Orange Box, which gives you Portal and the Half-Life 2 games; save some money for Portal 2, though, it's an excellent sequel.

Some free games you should download include Team Fortress 2, America's Army 3, and TrackMania Nations Forever; there are some F2P games that might be worth checking out too, though they aren't generally as good as paid or even properly free games. As for non-Steam free games, check out OpenTTD, Nitronic Rush, Battle for Wesnoth, and Orbiter. Some non-Steam paid games include Arma II (download is on sale for $10), Minecraft, and Kerbal Space Program.

I wouldn't recommend getting USB or surround sound headphones. They come in two types and both are mediocre as well as limiting. You have your headphones with multiple drivers, which reviews will time and time again say are off. Multiple smaller drivers in a circumaural headset next to year ear? Diminished sound quality as well as limited directional accuracy. The other option is to get a set that use virtual surround, but these are going to be USB only. My experienec with USB headphones tells me this is not worth it. Needing to install drivers, potential voltage dropouts from USB charge not being stable, popping (that shit HURTS and is what caused me to throw out my last USB headset), as well as not being able to plug it into more devices. The 3.5 millimeter standard is MUCH better to have here for its versatility and simplicity. If you would like USB, as another user suggested a functional reason for it (though the same could be achieved by using the front audio ports because most computers will still distinguish between headphones and speakers if you use the front ports), they do sell cheap USB adapters that often have their own virtual surround drivers. I'd recommend this over a dedicated USB headset. The lack of versatility and problems associated are worth keeping your setup modular. If you would like to have virtual surround but your soundcard/motherboard doesn't have driver support for it, then I really suggest grabbing the Razer Surround drivers for free.

Okay, wall of text is over! What SHOULD you buy? That's a crazy question. If you're looking for a headset (headphone+microphone), I'm personally a fan of the Logitech G230 which is one of the better price/performance options out there. They are not the highest quality headphones but they are sturdy (important!) and comfortable (double important!). The sound quality coming through them is more than passable. Sometimes I forget I'm not listening to speakers, even though I've been using them exclusively for months. The mic quality is mediocre and requires some boosting, so that should be known.

If you're just looking for headphones without a microphone, this is NOT the place to be asking that question. Audiophiles know headphone gear much better than gamers do, but generally don't know anything about headsets because the low-quality mics headsets use aren't of much use to audiophiles.

If you got through all that, congratulations and I hope it helps you! Just make sure to check reviews on various sites (or just Amazon, if you're lazy like me) and don't pick up anything with less than a 4/5 rating. Good luck!

You're welcome. I'd have added more but, as you may have noticed, I hit the comment character limit.

By the way, the 360 dongle doesn't cost as much as the steam controller. I have this one, it's $14 atm.

If you do decide on the steam controller, Amazon has it with the carry case for the same price as they have the controller by itself. Here.

Also, adding on about the controller, at this point I've had two other people (who don't play a lot of games) try the controller and they picked it up easily. It seems like the biggest issue people have is unlearning other controllers, rather than learning the new one.

It's also possible that part of it is the fact that trackball emulation is the best way (imo) to control the camera via the controller. One of the two people, the one who picked it up easier, regularly uses a trackball to play games already and was used to the way it responded. In fact, I used a trackball to play games for a long time as well. Maybe that's part of why some people learn to use it easier than others. I'm not sure, I'm rambling anyway. The point is that it takes a bit of effort to unlearn how you play with other controllers.

I'd love to know what you decide though. The steam controller is superior, in my opinion, except for the lack of a physical d-pad. That's just about the only downside and I can make do with that since I don't play a lot of platformers and the radial menus make waaaay better quick selects.

About Steam's cut, here's an article that explains it

https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2019/04/why-valve-actually-gets-less-than-30-percent-of-steam-game-sales/

Here's a developer's take on it

https://twitter.com/RobotBrush/status/1112204567394086913

Here's consumer's take on it

https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/b9i4yd/to_everyone_complaining_about_steams_cut_please/

And here's my take on it. In short, Valve's 20 to 30 percent take is justified for the amount of features and services they provide.

Let's get something clear here. The whole debate about 20 to 30 percent cut from Steam vs 12 percent cut from Epic is a farce. Its a stunt pulled by Epic. Its not about the percentage cut. Its about Epic giving these greedy publishers a bag of cash to sign exclusivity deals on their platform, either on day one or a certain time afterwards and Epic lining their own pockets in the process. All the while trying to strong-arm customers to submit to this forced exclusivity and other anti-consumer practices while providing virtually nothing

If it was only about the cut then, these publishers would've moved to other platforms that has lower cut than Epic, who've been into digital distribution platform a lot longer than Epic. Platforms like Discord, which reduced their cut down to 10 percent after Epic store's announcement. Humble Widget through Humble Bundle, which asks for 5 percent of the cut. Itch.io, which asks for basically whatever percent of the cut you want to give them, which is lower than all the others combined. And yet a lot of developers and publishers choose Steam over any of them Why ? Because none of the other platform provides the massive visibility / discoverability of games that Steam provides and the subsequent big sales potential. Not to mentions vastly inferior features and services towards customers compared to Steam. Its because Steam provides THE most features and services to both developers and customers more than any other platforms in the gaming industry, PC or consoles.

https://blog.discordapp.com/why-not-90-10-3761ebef4eab

https://www.humblebundle.com/developer/widget

For the record, other major platforms like GOG, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Amazon, Google, Apple and a lot of others also take the industry standard 30 percent of the cut while providing significantly less features and services to both customers and developers in return. I wanna emphasize on Sony and Microsoft (Playstation and Xbox) who are the biggest gaming platforms next to PC, Who've been taking that 30 percent cut from developers and publishers for decades now while doing business with them. They don't provide nowhere as near as many features and services as Steam does. And yet, developers / publishers happily put all their games on those consoles and make huge profits. Now with Epic, while they do take 12 percent cut, they also provide virtually nothing in terms of features and services for customers. Steam on the other hand provides numerous features and services for customers for their 20 to 30 percent cut.

To give you a rough idea of the amount of features and services Steam provides, take a look at the following chart. It lists all the major features of Steam compared to other platforms on PC. These are just some of the features and services that are public knowledge and / or have been revealed by Valve themselves. There's a whole host of other infrastructures that Valve operates and maintains on a daily basis. All of these combined costs a lot of upkeep on a day-to-day basis. At the same time, Valve regularly innovates, improves and expands on all of these features, services and infrastructures to give customers and developers a better gaming and business experience.

https://imgur.com/P6cIq1u

https://steamcommunity.com/groups/steamworks#announcements/detail/1697194621363928453

When you look at all these features and services that Valve / Steam provides and are continuing to provide at an even greater capacity every single year, it is clear that out of all the other platforms, only Steam gives back the most to both consumers and developers. Unlike other platforms, Steam earns their cut AND they're adding and improving new features and services every single year for no extra charge. Not only that. Valve has also reduced their 30 percent cut to 20 percent for those who meets certain sales milestone.

https://steamcommunity.com/groups/steamworks#announcements/detail/1697191267930157838

In conclusion, what Epic is doing is using the 12 percent to undercut others using money generated from Fortnite, then trying to get developers / publishers on board with cash incentive and subsequent forced third party exclusives, and then trying to strong-arm customers with said forced exclusive deals and other anti-consumer practices while providing us virtually nothing since they cannot compete with Steam on fair grounds or match Steam's level of features and services with that 12 percent cut. Its all about greedy developers / publishers getting paid by Epic for exclusive deals while shoving down all sorts of anti-consumer / anti-competitive policies on us customers. Epic does not care about customers as they've openly proved it time and again but only care about lining their own pockets since they realize the money they generate from Fortnite is unsustainable.

Lastly, its about publisher getting a bigger share of profit while developers sees virtually no benefit from it. Most of the profit a publisher generates does not go to the developers but straight to the higher-up CEOs, CFOs, board members and the likes. If anything goes wrong, its the developers who suffers either paycuts or getting fired from those companies, while the higher-ups enjoys their every increasing profit margin. We've seen it time and again. Here are just some recent examples.

In short, Valve / Steam always has customers interest at heart followed by developers / publishers. Epic on the other hand, has only their own interests at heart, following by developers / publishers. We, the customers, will choose the platform to do business with that has our interests in mind. Because at the end of the day, we customers don't need their games to survive, its the developers / publishers who needs us, our business, to make their day-to-day living.

The following links are just some of the examples of how publishers fire hundreds of developers despite earning record profit

Steam definitely supports multiple controllers. I'm not positive on DS4Windows. You will only be using one or the other, most likely Steam. They both do the same things, either map the buttons to a virtual 360 controller and/or keyboard & mouse. Just keep in mind with two controllers you have to emulate the 360 controller (steam allows setting this up as a per-game basis). How you would use multiple DS4 controllers is exactly how you would use multiple Steam controllers. Basically, you cannot use profiles that emulate KBM with multiple controllers, but the games supporting splitscreen or multiple controllers anyways you won't be emulating the KBM so it won't be an issue. Also as for number of PS4 controllers, this is determined by if you use a generic Bluetooth dongle or the official PS4 dongle. The official PS4 dongle only allows 1 controller, but gives you the ability to use the 3.5mm audio jack and gives less latency. Bluetooth adapters depending on the quality can allow many more than 1, but typically have more latency and don't work with the audio jack. I will be grabbing the official dongle for my room personally because I want the audio jack and if I have friends over it will be in the basement with the Steam Link I'm going to be grabbing soon. Now, I'm not sure if you can have multiple dongles to allow for multiple controllers but that can certainly get expensive. I would recommend you use a generic Bluetooth adapter if you want to use multiple controllers. Here's the one I use with my PS3 controller: https://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-BTD-400-Bluetooth-4-0-USB/dp/B007Q45EF4

You might need a USB extension cord for that one, because my recliner is too far from my TV I had latency issues. It needed to be like 3 feet away from me to not experience any latency. It might be the adapter is crap, but its the one a lot of people recommended to me. This is also another reason why I'm just going to get the official dongle.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the DS4 has gyro, which is a major advantage over Xbox controllers.

u/jmdbcool · 1 pointr/Steam

I own both and I recommend the 360 dongle. I probably haven't invested enough time/knowledge into the Steam controller. But that's the thing, you have to spend some time learning to use it to really get the benefits of it.

I also have four 360 controllers, which all work with the dongle. I mainly use it for single player, but when friends are over it's so nice to quickly put on something with local multiplayer like Rocket League or Towerfall and it all works perfectly. If you have more than one 360 controller, big bonus there.

The official Microsoft one is about $20: https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox-Wireless-Receiver-Windows/dp/B000HZFCT2

u/crazypotato4 · 1 pointr/Steam

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Guacamelee! Gold Edition. It's an excellent luchador-themed Metroidvania game that's super fun solo or duo. It's best played with a controller/gamepad, so you will want either a wired controller or a wireless receiver so you can use your 360 controllers.

u/talenklaive · 1 pointr/Steam

I don't know about Playstation controllers, but I use a 3rd party Xbox 360 controller that works well:

https://www.amazon.com/Afterglow-AX-1-Controller-Xbox-360-Blue/dp/B003ITY98O

If you prefer the feel of the Xbox one controller, they make it as well:

https://www.amazon.com/PDP-Afterglow-Prismatic-Wired-Controller-Xbox/dp/B00ZJRHSRW/ref=sr_1_1?srs=3038123011&ie=UTF8&qid=1483457064&sr=8-1&keywords=afterglow+controller+xbox+one

I personally like the Afterglow controllers because they're well built, proportioned correctly, and feel good in the hands. Also, the annoying glow effect can be disabled...there's a button on the back side that changes modes from on constantly, flashing /w rumble, or off completely.

u/Slanderpanic · 6 pointsr/Steam

Protip: You can get one for $25 from Amazon. The only downside to the 360 controller, in my experience, is that the D-pad sucks. Newer models have a better D-pad, but they'll also run you about sixty Earthican buckazoids.

I also have one of these. Games don't tend to discover and auto-configure to it as well as they do with the 360 controller, but it's good, solid hardware. The buttons and analog sticks are precise and it's got a good hand-feel. Most importantly, the left analog stick and D-pad are on what's called a "Cyborg" module. That means you can pop it out and turn it around based on your preference. For instance, if you prefer a Playstation-style layout, you can have it. Hell, for 12 buckazoids and free shipping, it's worth trying.

u/NimbusBear · 30 pointsr/Steam

It is very important that everyone knows that...

u/Crashboy96 · 2 pointsr/Steam

I definitely recommend using Wireless Xbox One controllers along with this. I use it constantly, it's fantastic for gaming on the couch with multiple people as we don't have to deal with wires. Probably the best $25 I've spent in a while.

u/zeug666 · 3 pointsr/Steam

> I have a wireless controller but I plugged it in w the Plug and Play USB cable that charges it.

The Play n Charge cable carries ONLY power to charge the controller batteries. No data.

> Do I need something else?

Yes, the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows will allow you to connect the wireless controller to your PC. Please note that there is a different version for the Xbox One wireless controller and that the two are not compatible (360 controller doesn't work on Xbone adapter, Xbone controller doesn't work on 360 adapter). Or a wired version of either controller, which you just plug and play.

u/juaquin · 3 pointsr/Steam

I haven't tried the Steam version of GTA4, but yeah, when I played the PC version in the past it was completely painless. The 360 controller is supported by default: http://support.rockstargames.com/entries/479429-currently-supported-controllers-for-gta-iv-pc

You'd need something like this if you don't already have a controller. It contains both the controller and the USB wireless adapter. You can also get a normal wired one but for the small price difference, I would go wireless. Just personal preference.

u/Presidential_Mudkip · 1 pointr/Steam

Use isthereanydeal.com. Great site to find best deals or history of sales. Looks like the complete edition is at a good price right now on amazon.

If you look at the price history, the lowest price on steam for CivV complete was $16.49 (last summer sale). Currently it's $16.67 on amazon. It MIGHT go lower that that on the next sale because a new Civ game is out but you cant really tell for sure... and it would probably be around $10-$15. So, if you dont want to wait two months to see if you can save $1-$5, I'd just get it now.

EDIT: Didn't realize I had an affiliate link to amazon from isthereanydeal.com. fixed it.

u/bgladden · 11 pointsr/Steam

I did the same thing! Grab one of these guys and you're set:

http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Bluetooth-Telescopic-Controller-IP117/dp/B00MUG3JPU

It's like having the WiiU tablet right in front of you. The sticks have a slight deadzone that I'm not thrilled with, but it works great for stuff like Skyrim, Portal, or Darksiders.

u/ikemoto · 3 pointsr/Steam

I don't think you need too, but i would recommend playing the first one as it is a very good game. If you have not played either of them here is a link to an amazon sale for the Bioshock 1 & 2 bundle for $7.49 that activates on steam. Click Me Please

u/Die4Ever · 1 pointr/Steam

Actually yes I have plugged a KB+M into my phone, usually I use an xbox 360 controller though with this

http://www.shapeways.com/product/GHA4J4BVJ/xbox-360-controller-motorola-nexus-6?optionId=42933531

and I also have one of these on the way

http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Bluetooth-Telescopic-Controller-IP117/dp/B00MUG3JPU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425668994&sr=8-1&keywords=ipega+pg-9023

Yea the graphics are mostly the same for these games, some of them are indistinguishable like Five Nights at Freddy's or The Room, maybe Vice City too. The source code is not an exact match no, but neither is it the same for Linux/Windows/Mac, although a lot of these games use Unity and other engines like that so the development of the different versions would have barely any differences. Keep in mind most of the newer engines work on Android, like UE3 and 4, Unity, even Crytek with Crysis 3 being ported to Android. Some of the games on Steam were actually mobile first anyways.

u/throwawayyayaya · 0 pointsr/Steam

This is not true of all games, but it is true of many. Anything that uses "steamworks" can (and must) be activated on steam, as well as a few others that chose to make this an option. Checking the user-added tags on the game is usually your best bet for quickly determining if a game can be activated.

For example:
Borderlands won't.

But L.A. Noir, Saints Row, and Metro 2033 will.

EDIT: Had Metro in the wrong group

u/zer0t3ch · 1 pointr/Steam

Also, get one of these if you're going to be playing a lot of games with controller support. It's a great investment, especially if you already have the controllers. Since you're on linux, if you don't have it already, you'll probably need xboxdrv to make it work correctly.

u/jschild · 1 pointr/Steam

A bluetooth adapter would only set you back 10 bucks.

I recommend this one. Works great with my DS4.

I'm almost about the buy the Firaxis one ONLY for Xcom.... I already own both Civ's.

I wish they would just offer the option for Xcom but right now it's $40 individually? At least with Steam they usually discount the individual games too with the bundles...

u/EsquireSandwich · 2 pointsr/Steam

Buy the link for $19.99 and this controller plus case package for 34.99 (the controller without case is also $34.99 so no reason not to get it). $55 for both is, i think a tiny bit more expensive than the steam bundle, but Amazon Prime makes up for it in shipping, plus a free case.

u/Zakic · 2 pointsr/Steam

Just a side note.. you can also get them from amazon.. and if you have amazon prime you get free 2 day shipping on it..

If you buy it on amazon you also get the case for free.. (going though steam the bundle cost about 80 cents more)

I actually bought the bundle off amazon yesterday.. the case showed up today and the controller will be here tomorrow

u/shawn789 · 2 pointsr/Steam

You need a wireless adapter for your controller. This is the one I use. Plug it into a USB 2.0 port and let Windows install the drivers. Then sync your controller with the adapter. There's tutorials all over the Internet for this.

If you go to the store page for a game it will say so in the right column with the other categories the game is in. Also, if you're using a controller, you'll be doing yourself a big favor by using Big Picture mode. You can control it with your controller and every game will have a controller icon or keyboard icon denoting whether it's compatible with a controller it just a keyboard and mouse. It will also warn you if you try starting a game that is only compatible with keyboard/mouse. The icons aren't always completely accurate; sometimes it will say games aren't controller compatible when they are. This usually happens when a game can accept controller input normally but only has prompts for keyboard/mouse input. Games that only have partial controller support will also show up as only keyboard/mouse.

u/SEJIBAQUI · 1 pointr/Steam

I use one of my old 360 controllers with this dongle. It works really well, not much input lag that I can pickup. I've gotten years of mileage out of the thing; however, my controller itself could probably use replacing since the thumbsticks tend to drift after so many years. The only issues with using the wireless dongle are powering the controller (AA batteries or a recharge pack), and playing games that require frame-perfect inputs (so pretty much just fighting games).

I can't say anything about the steam controller, though.

u/idkwtfiad · 7 pointsr/Steam

Amazon does not appear to have any Steam Links of their own in stock, at least on the US Amazon site. All Steam Links for sale are from third parties.

u/Dark_Pinoy · 1 pointr/Steam

Bioshock 1 and 2 Dual Pack $7.49

Borderlands Game of the Year Edition $7.49

Both of these deals are on Amazon and both can be activated on Steam when bought :)

u/Tolham · 2 pointsr/Steam

here's the link. it says 1&2 are a online game code and infinite is a download. would infinite activate on steam or would i have to just add it as a non-steam game?

update: i bought the pack. it adds all 3 games to your amazon game library. you can either download the game from amazon, or activate it on steam with the product code. i just activated infinite on steam and it's downloading the game like any other game that you buy from steam.

u/Allisonaxe · 2 pointsr/Steam

what MrJDMTyte said is true: most pc games released today will have 360 controller support. Third party 360 controllers work too. I personally use one of these because its about as good as a stock 360 controller (better in some ways actually: the dpad is nicer) and also its probably one of the cheapest xbox specific controllers you can find. the light is annoying but it does turn off.

Make sure to select Steam for your DRM option, and redeem in Steam.

I like using my 360 wireless. they dont make an adapter so i had to buy a third party one on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Pc-Gaming-Receiver-Xbox-xbox360/dp/B0076HD2W8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1417024630&sr=8-2&keywords=xbox+360+wireless+adapter

Ps3 ones work well with a driver ( its on the steam forums somewhere)
I tried using the ps4 one briefly but it wouldnt map the buttons correctly when playing some games. I have american hands so the cramping was the most tolerable on 360 ( ps4 close runner up but its still not as comfortable longevity wise)

Go to Amazon and buy Saints Row The Third for $10. They will give you Steam code.

DO NOT BUY SR3 The Full Package for $12.49 unless you want all of the challenge and fun sucked out of the game. Some of the DLC just breaks the game. Amazon sells cheap DLC codes so you can pick out only the stuff you want after finishing the base game.

Steam don't currently sell on the Australia store. It's annoying that it shows up in our featured area on the main steam store page.

The good news is, you can get them from Amazon at the same price - and they will ship them here. I got one, and a controller delivered in December.

Edit: worth adding it comes with universal power adapters, and not one that takes up crazy amounts of space. It is actually a really neat adapter/plug.

It will most likely. Ordering now won't give you any discounts. Only official channel is Steam Store and anywhere is middle man adding their costs or profit to $50 like (pay attention to shipment fees) and won't do Steam Store discount ratios.

Just FYI, keep your eyes on Amazon sales too. They have 2k Strategy Pack with Civ 4 complete, Civ 5 GOTY and Stronghold Collection for $19.99. Bioshock 1&2 pack is for $7.5 (I don't think steam can go lower with this). Both of these packs can be activated on Steam.

A standard wired controller

should work as a simple plug and play. Mine does.

If the game has local co-op. You can either connect with a usb cord, or buy a receiver http://www.amazon.ca/Xbox-360-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver/dp/B000HZFCT2. I play local co-op games with my brothers all the time

Also use this site to figure out which games are local co-op http://www.co-optimus.com/

The offer is still available, just check under other sellers and makes sure to order the one from Amazon.com.

I bought one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows/dp/B000HZFCT2

about two years ago. They're fantastic. You can connect up to 4 controllers, each with accessories (except the typing pad, that doesn't work, but headsets do) all in one usb port. Also win7/8 has the drivers for it built in, so no need to install anything.

Yeah i use the 360 wireless with a USB adapter. For emulators i use this HERE

The legitimate Microsoft-built Wireless adapter (Also on Amazon, here) is one dollar more expensive. Why not get that instead?

Redeems on Steam can't get any lower.

I still don't own it either. I'm wondering if I should pull the trigger on $7.49 sale on Amazon (activates on Steam) which includes both Bioshock 1 and 2

meh it depends on your preference, personally it's just not my type of game. However if you do want to buy it don't buy it from steam you can get bioshock dual pack for only 7.49 on amazon and you can activateit on steam. www.amazon.com/2K-Games-41045k-Dual-Pack1/dp/B0083W649I/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1342276452&sr=8-2&keywords=bioshock

If it's a wireless controller, you will need a Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver. The play and charge kit only charges the batteries, it doesn't transfer any data between the controller and the PC.

u/poingi · 8 pointsr/Steam

You mean wireless controller? of course you can!
You just need the wireless receiver for windows.

Xbox wireless controllers can't connect to a PC unless you have one of these

u/Arik_De_Frasia · 2 pointsr/Steam

Why? You already have a controller, why not just get the adapter for cheaper?

if you're after the triple pack then it's on sale at Amazon for $11.99

u/CarUnShe · 6 pointsr/Steam

No, those cables only charge the controller, they don't have any data transfer capabilities. You can use this if you want to use your current Xbox controller for pc.

Conveniently, the Steam Controller and Case are on sale on Amazon right now. Not only is it at its usual low of $35, but the bundle with the case currently costs the same price as the controller alone.
