Not much is taken from the novels - particularly from the Destiny trilogy onwards - but some elements are used to fill in some blanks (the Andorians having four sexes for example). If some Enterprise-era stuff makes it ingame, I'd like to see the events of The Good That Men Do respected. I don't know enough about the other series' books to really judge whether or not I'd like to see them included (though I've heard good things about the DS9 relaunch).
Does help to be specific when asking questions of the internet. ;)
Assuming 1: yes, and 2: IRL; what I know some people have done is go to a professional tailor to custom order one. That's likely to be expensive though. An alternative could be searching around Amazon, small cosplay costume companies occasionally offer Star Trek Online uniforms. For example (Odyssey Sci):
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0763SWXKB/ref=s9_acsd_hps_bw_c_x_1_w
But you're pretty much on your own with trying to evaluate quality and judge pricing. There's no licensed deal for Star Trek Online costumes (what's linked above is not an official product) and nothing I can personally recommend from experience.
Good luck.
Huh, looks like they might be. I found where I've bought them in my order history, and the page now says they're Unavailable. I imagine they aren't being produced anymore, so supply had to dry up eventually. I also think they may have only been offered by one 3rd party seller, since all the ones I got were from the same seller (Lotsa Electronics). I sent them a message asking what's up.
A sealed retail box copy is your next best bet. Less bang-for-your-buck most of the time, but sometimes you'll snag a preorder bonus, like the TR-116A.
You're welcome! I've never been much of a gamer, so I've never played this game myself. But a couple of years ago I got The Needs Of The Many novel, and really enjoyed it. And I read up on the premise of the game. It's a really great Star Trek future.
> The same way that buying a lotto ticket this week doesn't increase my odds of winning next weeks draw if I don't win.
no, but buying multiple tickets this week increses your chance to win this week
> You would be correct if you could use multiple keys on one box to increase your odds of getting a ship, but thats not how it work.
yes, i am also correct if i can use multiple keys on multiple boxes
> You only get to buy 1 ticket to this weeks lotto, one for next weeks etc etc
not really, you can buy as many tickets as you can afford
i suggest https://www.amazon.com/Probability-Dummies-Deborah-J-Rumsey/dp/0471751413/ unless you want to make fool out of yourself some more...
Have you considered getting a mobile desktop in a case like the Corsair 380T? The size is roughly 1 square foot and has a nice carrying handle. And then buying a small portable monitor and then a regular one for at home?
Otherwise a laptop would be your best solution.

This would be pretty good for a gold set of Enterprises. You wouldn't have to worry about putting the tedious amount of decals on them, and could just build them and spray them gold.
They'd also all be in scale, which is awesome.
Although it's not meant for PvP, this guide might be of some use. Aaaand here's another Escort guide that was recently posted. The Fleet Escort should be great for tanking (as far as escorts go), so the problem may be your BOff skills? You'll definitely need Hazard Emitters, EPtS, Reverse Shield Polarity, and Tactical Team. Make sure you're using a Subspace Field Modulator. Consider picking up the Collector's Edition for the Red Matter Capacitor and Borg BOffs, or the Thunderchild for the Point Defense Console, or the Gladius for the Impulse Capacitance Console. Also, in combat, jam the up arrow key to be sure your forward shields are strongest.
I don't have any PvP experience but hopefully this helps at least a little. :D
First, don't bother with the lockboxes. Just discard them. The thrill of the gamble quickly wears off when the only thing you get are a few Lobi crystals and NPC-vendor trash.
Now, I can't think of any way to transfer Zen from an account to another. And it makes sense, since it would make it easy for the gold-farmers. Some of the C-Store items are tradable though, but not the ships if that's what you wanted to give him.
Only solution I see here is buying subscription cards on Amazon. Each card gives 2 months of subscription. Each month of subscription gives 500 zen. That's going to cost more than just buying the zen, even more so if you want him to get a ship (~3000zen). But I don't see many other options.
Be also wary that there's a limit of 10 million EC for standard accounts, and this limit with be temporally lifted during the subscription, but come back after it ends. So if you want to keep the EC Cap limit (and you should) you'll have to buy it from the C-Store for 500 zen. If there's only one thing you have to get from the C-Store, it's that one.
Ah, good to know, thanks. :)
EDIT: Just to clarify, we're talking about this, right?
Alex from NETGEAR here. A few updates are what sets this a part from "non gaming" routers. Biggest takeaway is that we included DumaOS on the device that allows for anti-buffer bloat, a geo-filter to help you get the best server or client connection while gaming, some improved security features and more. There are a ton of other features in DumaOS, but check out our reviews on Amazon. They speak for themselves! https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Nighthawk-wireless-Ethernet-PlayStation/dp/B078GWJ44Z
save your money and buy a desktop. the best part is over time you can upgrade it a "gaming" laptop at that price point not as much.
Andrew Robinson loved playing Garak so much, he wrote a novel to give the character more backstory. I'm sure they could get him if they wanted to. He could probably give them some story advice, too.
Oh wow. I was just looking at that. Does anyone else do this? It seems cheaper then do an active account as that is about 12-15$ / month and this is 7.50
-edit-
related, what do you get for buying the game?
I run the Asus G73JH and it runs great. Unfortunately, if I max out settings it hard crashes. I think there may be an issue with my thermal paste/cooling system, though, and it looks glorious before it shuts off.
Specifically, its the Eaglemoss Starship Collection "All Good Things" Enterprise-D. I have the Defiant. It's actually a nice little model/toy/thing, comes with a magazine talking about the ship, both in-universe and from a production point of view.
Link for the lazy.
It's well worth it once you factor in the 1000 zen you'll get for the stipend, as well as the 4-5 retrain tokens you earn from leveling a character while subbed that otherwise cost 500 zen/piece.
Yes you can. I got the USB stick below and it worked very well.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00KT7DOSE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Note that if you're in the US, a 60-day subscription card costs $15 at Amazon. This gives you the account bank permanently, unlocks an extra character slot, and eventually gives you 1000 zen before it expires. It has other nice features as well.
There are models and model kits for that one out there:
https://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Select-Toys-Star-Trek/dp/B0086URM5M/ref=pd_lpo_21_tr_t_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=4WKCGTCJ68FFENMCDC7K
Those would probably be cheaper than a custom 3D Print. But maybe not.
For canon ships there is a good chance there is already some merchandising product available. For STO specific ships it's unlikely.
(This) should do the trick, it seems to sound like it's all original Barry Gray.

Prime eligible too :)
Cheaper with a bigger screen and a dedicated mobile gpu and a slot for a M.2 PCIe SSD
It's not a fanfic, but there was an officially released novel several years ago in the STO universe:
http://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-Online-Needs-Many-ebook/dp/B003CTEFHK/ref=sr_1_12?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1449853033&sr=1-12&keywords=star+trek+online+novel
While it would be nice if the did, they don't have to. There's a CD you can buy, called, "This One's From The Heart," that has most of the DS9 songs, as sung by James Darren. All they need to do is get the rights to the album to make that work.
If you're interest in the characters, you should check out the book series.
