I come from playing Magic and use the Satin Towers all the time. I just wanted to add 2 more options that are on the market that I have used for Magic that could translate to great storage options here. The Dex box is a great value and the Ultimate Guard is a bit high in price. Just wanted to showcase a couple more options for everyone.

If you are looking for cheap some combination of small Plano and any deckbox should work.

A BCW 200 Count Box should be about a $1 at your FLGS.

The Plano 3400 5 Compartment Stowaway will hold 20 dice almost perfectly and should be about $2.50 at a Walmart. The Plano 3400 should also be good for Tokens although I use the smaller and slightly more expensive 3448-40 for tokens.

I have one Plano per deck and lined them with a small piece of craft foam in each compartment and one large piece over the top just to keep the dice from rattling around and getting scratched in my bag.

This is the one I have for travel. It breaks down and sets up pretty fast. I was just curious what people thought of towers in a dice game like this.

Probably not the best for taking a single deck to a tournament or storing the whole first set, but not bad for now. I used a KMC Card Barrier Box, available on Amazon and typically shipped out of Japan for about $15.

I cut the interior dice trays out of 2x starter sets to fit the larger container openings:

There is room for another 40'ish dice below the trays. Lots of room for 2x decks and the rest of your cards:

Looking forward to see what other people come up with whether it be tackle boxes, laser etched build-a-box, or something else. Thanks for checking it out!

UPDATE: Looks like Amazon just dropped the box set to $20 as well. Free shipping for prime customers or carts over $25. (for those who don't want to spend $30 or somehow missed the Target deal)

I went with these. One double deck box holds a deck and 18 dice, with enough room on top of the dice to put a small ziplock with your tokens in it. You can get them for like 8 bucks in singles, or a five pack (like the one listed) for 25. I wouldn't throw one into a loose bag (The magnet's not THAT great), but if you're careful with it, it's fine. The two deck inserts are removable as well, so it's easy to just dump the dice out when you're ready to start.

They are these and you can get them at walmart and probably some convience stores. The best part is it comes with gum aswell.

Ultra pro satin tower. Works perfectly. Tokens in the bottom compartment. Deck and dice in the main compartment.

#0000 4x6 bubble mailer. You can get them in bulk online or a 10-pack at wal-mart, depending on the volume you plan on doing. I do recommend using the toploader or something similar for the cards, though, or they might bend. The link I sent you to puts them at around 5.2 cents each (excluding taxes).

Edit: Some people use polymailers. They are the same thing, but plastic. It helps in case they get left out in the rain/snow for some reason.

Here is the carrier with a bunch of individual 4 x 6 deck boxes inside.

There are two sizes for these. The smaller one, shown in the link above, is perfect for a deck and the associated dice. The larger version here is for storing large amounts of dice. Don't ask me how many, I never really counted.

Very cool. I find the Flambeau 5007 Tuff Tainer to be a great, compact way to store dice, but I can't deny the appeal of this. Good find.

u/rodneystubbs · 2 pointsr/swdestiny

I just got this in the mail and it works really well. Fits two decks + dice in the sides and then the middle compartment can fit more dice or tokens.

This one is great. Fits the theme but also fits other card games fine. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016PGOXI2/

I use Ultra Pro Tower deck boxes for most of my decks. The tray at the bottom is perfect for tokens + character dice.

u/WexAwn · 1 pointr/swdestiny

I use your first method where the text box and dice reference are all visible. If you use one hand to hold down the bottom card and the other to tap the character it works well.

To make this easier, buy a playmat. It'll make the cards easier to pick up, reduce the noise of rolling dice, and will ensure your cards don't get stuck to last nights soda spill.

Edit: remove from game has some really cool Star Wars ones available on Amazon. I recently ordered this one on the 23rd but it hasn't shipped yet. Holiday may have effected this but i hope it arrives sooner rather than later

For a single deck I like these:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DN2AT3O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_XTefzbMFCE40C

For two decks most people use these:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXZUIYT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_pVefzb2NGS4AP

There are cheaper options, but I still think these are worth the money. Both will hold everything (tokens dice and cards).

u/CaptKirkRx · 1 pointr/swdestiny

I'm using an Ultra Pro dual deck box for just this thing. One deck in each half. I like the idea above to use a little foam for dice rattle.

u/Kestral2040 · 1 pointr/swdestiny

I got some super cheap padding stuff on Amazon and I cut it up and put it in there so it doesn't rattle. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Pack-Acoustic-Panels-Studio-Wedges/dp/B010GPFRUQ/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2YWFNFVJC03JM&keywords=studio+foam+wedges&qid=1556172085&s=gateway&sprefix=studio+foam+wed%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-3

That being said, I don't think the dice are gonna get scratched either way. I'm just paranoid.

I have both a Legion Vault V2 and an Ultimate Guard Twin Flip N Tray 200.

Both fit 2 decks plus dice (up to 24 dice per deck). Durability-wise, the Legion box is higher quality, but the UG isn't terrible. My primary box is the UG simply because of the removable tray for storing tokens. While the middle slot is removable from the Legion, it's more of a box and less of a tray -- meaning you have to dump your tokens on the table. That alone is enough for me to not use it for events, so I just use it to keep extra decks for playing at home.
