some on this sub are anti-jogger, but you can find some really decent cargo/joggers on amazon which are reasonably comfortable, durable, articulated for you to start playing with the aesthetic. I really like these stretch twill joggers from Italy Morn - very comfortable and breathable. And there's these cargo joggers from Match. Since their taper is already good, you can de-elastic the bottoms and hem them for a quick black tech-aesthetic-only look (they're just basic cotton - no special qualities to the fabric). Then there's some finds in mainline Nike from time to time, like the Nike Sportswear stuff - the bonded woven pants for example. Those start to be ultralight, and quick-drying, despite the fact they don't really advertise that feature. But less durable than I'd like.

Like me, if you rock theses incredibly ($30 bux) to relatively ($120) inexpensive starters for a little and keep browsing this sub you'll quickly lust after the nicer, more advanced pieces from ACG, Enfin, and so on, which actually bring better durability, movement, and water resistance. Ebay and grailed are your next bets.

Veilance Demlo Jacket
Thin, lightweight (125g), water-repellent windshell. Perfect for breezy summer nights with a reflective area on the shoulders.

Ciele GoCap Century
I bought this for running - sun protection, sweat-wicking, etc - but I'm loath to ruin it with my sweaty brow, so I'm mostly using it for loitering. There's a big fat logo on the front, but it's quite discreet - until you shine a light on it.

Prana Zogger Pant
Stretchy, durable cargo-style nylon joggers with DWR. Comfortable for just about anything. They seem to be out of stock at Prana right now, but you can find them elsewhere, for cheap.

Patagonia Cap Cool Trail Shirt
Soft, comfortable, moisture-wicking polyester t-shirt with odor control treatment. I wish it was a bit more slim-fitting, but it works well as a baselayer. It is actually available in tech approved colors like black and carbon, but this time around I opted for "Big Sur blue". Apologies.

Saucony Freedom ISO
Light, minimal shoes for high-speed interval sprints. And fit pics.

Yeah, my tactic is to just buy actusl military equip lol. Btw I would also recommend these pants, they're kinda expensive but still cheap in tech related terms, and your phone perfectly fits in the extra pockets. Helikon-Tex also has some nice tops. If you find any good cheap pants lemme know tho haha

I gotchu man, this is the first time i purchased any sort of pants like these but I'm normally a 28-29 waist in jeans. I got these in medium and I would say they fit perfectly around the waist, and the straps around the legs allow for an adjustable fit so its really nice. Can't complain at all for the price. Shipping took a few weeks though.

[Belts like these] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CVZ8GZY/ref=sspa_dk_detail_9?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07CVZ8GZY&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=f52e26da-1287-4616-824b-efc564ff75a4&pf_rd_r=06MGFH0J797QGX50AFA4&pd_rd_wg=Z3Lkt&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&pd_rd_w=YVoY2&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pd_rd_r=a9ab4ced-b7a6-11e8-951a-bffc31d64799)

I'm all for cool techwear belts, but there's TONS of belts out there that are practically the exact same thing that are way cheaper because they're not marketed to the Techwear/Streetwear audience.

That being said, I don't think the price point for these HL belts are unreasonable at all. They look really cool and if you're the type of dude to show off your belt I think they elevate a techwear fit more than your standard issue nylon belt. I'm tempted to order one just because the magnetic mechanism is pretty cool.

What's unresonable are the prices ALYX or Off-White are asking for similar. $300? gtfoh

Honestly, I bought a Maxpedition MOLLE pouch to use on the side as my laptop charger holder - saved SO much space inside. When not in use, it's super lightweight and still fits the all-black aesthetic of the bag. Looks like it should have come with it!

Here's the one I have

Edit: I attached it to one of the side bottle holder areas using some of these which was wonderful for quickly taking it on and off as needed (like for airports, etc.).

Edit2: Formatting n00b.

Does anyone know where I can find a cool looking shirt jacket like this but better quality? I would like something made with good material that has a hood.

Any backpacks or shoulder/messenger bags recommendations that fit the "black minimalistic" vibe that are under 400$? Examples: unavailable; [unavailable] (http://store.y-3.com/us/y3store/backpack_cod45265615rr.html) ;way too big, but considering.

They don't need to ACTUALLY be tech btw, looking for the looks only. Smaller sizes are appreciated.

I'm extremely new to fashion, so I'm not sure if they are even considered techwear, but I figured people here would probably know something interesting that fits the criteria.

Thanks in advance <3

Thanks! I appreciate your feedback.

The pants are the Columbia PFG Blood & Guts III Convertibles. They have an amazing water/stain repellent coating that works fantastic. Only thing is that the crotch area could use some extra room. My waist and inseam are perfect but I'm in the process of taking apart another pair that were too big to make a gusset to fit in this pair. Just my 2 cents.

Haha dw about your previous message I thought my reddit was bugging out lol. I think I’d get quite a bit of use out of it since I live in the Uk where the rain is pretty much always expected plus the gilet outdoes what my current jacket (https://www.amazon.com/Nike-Sportswear-Tech-Shield-Jacket/dp/B07JVG4PPH) does. I have a 20% off code so I might bundle it in with a future purchase, thanks!

u/larkinwc · 1 pointr/techwearclothing

I bought this from Amazon, pretty decent quality and nice stretchy band with a clasp as well. I feel like it should be a staple in everyone's wardrobe.

u/DeimosValvicious · 3 pointsr/techwearclothing

I currently have the Adidas Terrex Swift GTX Mids that I’ve added DWR on top of the Gore-Tex.

I prefer 8-10” boots but haven’t had any luck finding any that are waterproof. I’m a backpacker so I need them to be lightweight. The boots in the ad look perfect :(

There’s some motorcycle boots that seem like they could work but I think they’re probably bulky.some of them are duel purpose

Try this shit here, it's the best stain remover I've ever used. It's for carpets but I use it on jackets and furniture, zaps that stain right out. If it doesn't come out with this you might as well just get some spray paint haha.

Oh yeah! Scarf is just a random shemagh i got off amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LMJRJ2U/ref=twister_B006RJ6IKO

there's like a thousand like this so i didn't really think about it

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to make those yellow soles white again and a Jason Markk Shoe Cleaning Kit for the rest. (Normal dish soap works too.)

Do NOT mess with bleach - it will make white soles turn yellow. If you haven't bleached it, and the magic eraser isn't doing it for you than escalate to Angelus. But honestly you should have magic erasers lying around anyways. Those things are amazing.

It's actually an Amazfit Bip with a metal band. It's one of the best budget watches imo. The battery lasts like a month without needing to be charged!

[A MOLLE pouch] (https://www.amazon.com/Tactical-First-Pouch-MOLLE-Compatible/dp/B003TPR73G/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1491580508&sr=8-7&keywords=molle+tactical+pouch) like this could be attached through the strap, then adjusted to remove/add as much slack as the strap allows. There's a ton of different pouches in varying sizes and with all kinds of features, so by all means look around to find one you'd like

Most people would usually just attach one via a Cobra belt, but this could be integrated into belt-less pants, like tech fleece joggers maybe
