Ya know what though? I got the Dymo QX50 at OfficeMax in the clearance bins for $8 new. It's not the first time I've seen lablers in the clearance bin. I think companies know that the money is in the consumable, so they let the the machine go cheap, knowing that in the long run they'll make it back. I like this one a lot and there's nothing that I've needed to do that it can't.
Anyway, if you can go with something besides the p-touch, keep checking the clearance bins at office stores... you might luck out and not have to pay $50.
