I have these dividers and I love them. They're perfect for a large toolbox. The rest of the page shows you can buy it piecemeal if you have special needs.

Small boxes within drawers are a godsend. You can buy pre-built tool-specific ones like on the site I linked to above, but you can also find useful similar items at dollar stores.

If you use sockets, nothing beats a Hanson socket tray. (Overkill tray linked, but you can buy individuals for $10 or so. Totally worth it.)

Kudos on getting the toolbox built. More fun awaits you! :-)

Edit: Oh, I almost forgot. If you have lots of pliers, this is worth its weight in gold.

Industrial maintenance mechanic ringing in. I have a pair of these. Absolutely love them I'm constantly crawling around and the toe covers really hold up well. I do a ton of walking as well and very comfortable on the feet. Chemical and oil resistance is very good and the soles are holding up very well.

This is the most common one I use, it's about 1" across. They make several different sizes, but this one is the most useful. The bigger one I have has a fat handle and doesn't get into a lot of areas I need it in.

Other folks make a similar tool, but I think this one's made better, the tip kinda makes a U shape over the handle part where the other brands are just glued on basically. I have the Mac set and broke it several times before getting the SS brand ones.

You have to be careful with them, because they're sharp and will scratch, but just make sure it's flat on the surface and you're golden. Pulling backward works best to prevent scratching.

My current favorite is probably THIS OTC crimper/cutter/stripper. I was about to buy Snap-on's version that looks similar but doesn't have the angled crimper (and costs twice as much), but that angled head sealed it for me. It's super useful under dashes and in other tight spaces.

THIS guy is the most versatile with all the dies. The ratchet tension is adjustable; really solid crimps. It's just not very mobile which is a problem for me working in marine. I'm kinda limited to what I can carry with me into a boat, so the less I have to get out and walk to my box, the more labor hours and I can bust out.

The automatic wire stripper is awesome. It stays in my box most of the time, but I take it out if I'm doing a harness repair or something. Strips crazy fast and you can do multiple wires at a time. Huge time saver when you're messing with a lot of wires.

The others are varying degrees of shitty.

A couple of suggestions: That 25-inch 1/2 drive breaker bar from HF has saved my butt so many times, I've lost count. When they have it on sale, it's just $9. Completely worth it. Same for the 3/8 breaker.

Also, I love this oil filter wrench for tight spots: https://www.amazon.com/OEMTOOLS-25128-Action-Filter-Wrench/dp/B004FENETQ/

Dunno what your need is for organisation, but this bag could help. Very usefull and holds a lot of stuff like pliers and tools that take a little more space.

So at work i need to debur bolts after cutting to length and these hold the bolt. They are modified from these

I ground the teeth away and narrowed the jaw so that its an even thickness. then drill a cross hole and made it like 3 thou bigger than the cross pin. I then machined the jaws with one having a v groove in it to hold the bolts. then pressed in the pin. these things work absolutely amazing.

u/cburns70 wanted to see them after i posted this pic of a drawer in my box.

These are made in China. I believe they are covered against defects. They cost about $185 on Amazon. I can't give you a long term comparison against Red Wing Boots because I have not had these very long. But of the size and weight (these are steel toe), they are very very comfortable.

One thing I like—that you can see in the photo—is the lower pieces of leather have a rough finish, almost like sandpaper. Not only does it look good, but it doesn't show scratches or wear marks like you would typically see on leather.

I take it you mean crimpers, but I'm going to call them crumpets from now on.

It's one of these - my favorite stripper for shielded cable.

I bought the foam off amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Custom-Control-inserts-Plastic-Pelican/dp/B079NXSJ77/ref=mp_s_a_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1535848847&sr=8-12&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=pelican+1610+foam

I laid out all the trays and organized the tools how I thought I would use them, then cut it all out with razor blades. Took me better part of a week at work. Used 3m spray glue to adhere the foam with the backing. Spray each side, let it set for a minute then attach. It still smells like glue after 6 months but it's rock solid

I have them as well. They're the only ones I've ever owned that I actually like, and don't end up throwing away in anger.
