Sort of echoing /u/gameboy17, Benadryl™ is not necessarily a good first line, full time allergy treatment. Puts my mother, siblings, and myself to sleep, so we pretty much reserved it for things like wasp stings.

I've had bad allergies all my life, although teenage "allergy shots" and a move to a northern area of the US curbed them for a good long while, until 1995 when I started getting regular sinus infections. What stopped that was a combination of two nasal sprays, a steroid and the antihistamine azelastine, brand names Astelin (now a prescription generic with an evil 25 day supply bottle) and Astepro over here in the US.

And the steroid Flonase/fluticasone propionate is now an Over the Counter Drug (OTC). Which means it's supposed to be really safe, but treat all steroids with respect, be careful in how you spray it, e.g. aim for the inner sides of your outer nostrils. And ideally only take it seasonally.

Cleaning your room, it depends. Dust that settles and stays settled won't hurt you. But clean your sheets regularly, ideally using hot enough water to kill dust mites, which add to your total allergy load.

Also see if you can keep the humidity below 50%, which hinders them. In the US, this dehumidifier seems to suck less (so far, not at all) than all the others which are made by another company in the PRC which has produced models that'll catch fire, looks like it's been replaced with a newer model that looks identical. I bought my UD701KOG1 almost exactly a year ago and it's done well, but I haven't used it really hard, my smol 700 square foot/65 square meter house is old by US standards, first 3 rooms built in 1910, so it's somewhat leaky, but isn't a huge challenge to keep dry.

Oh, yeah, I use these hygrometers to see how humid it is, it's the best compromise between the really cheap and inaccurate ones and the good ones that go for over $100. I use this sling psychrometer, and damn but it's even more expensive now, to make sure they're reasonably accurate, maybe see if you can borrow one if you want to get that serious. Worth spending the money for me as opposed to getting frequent sinus infections and spending a solid month on antibiotics for each :-(.

I'm in a similar boat myself. I'm mainly learning Japanese so I can read books on Japanese mythology and play untranslated video games.

here's a few things that might interest you.

The Kwaidan It's a collection of short stories compiled and translated by Maribel Hearn's namesake

Yokai.com
It's a website that catalogs many different kinds of Yokai and other supernatutal beings. Also has links to kindle versions that are pretty much just individual entries on the site compile into a book/ebook. Have both kindle books, and I think they're worth it

*It's pricey, but here's a book I'm planing to order on the subject.

If Stanford's right, then it's something that'll pique my interest

Other than that, I'd suggest looking up some Wikipedia categories for other general stuff. Look for something interesting and keep digging.

Japanese Folklore

Japanese Folk Religion

Shinto

Yokai

Also, there's this anime, that I actually haven't watched due to lack of time, but it might be something you'd like.

This is mostly off the top of my head, been a bit busy but if you ever want some help tracking down something. Might be fun to have a study buddy.

In any case, I think I have to change my flair to Kosuzu now, after all that...

Aww yeah best game.

Yes, Type Z is Crimson Heart. I'd say the similarity is still pretty big in CC, there's minor differences but overall it's just scaled down and flipped around. But it's definitely not locked for no reason; I can't really say for CCWI as I actually haven't played it that much compared to CC, but Type Z is ridiculously overpowered in CC. Its break meter increases at almost double the rate of types I and II, and its shots and lock are both very powerful. It's gated off to show that the game was mostly balanced around Original Mode and Types I/II, and Unlimited and Type Z are both in there for cranking it up far past 11. Not something you'd really want to do on your first play of the game.

You sure can! It's pretty old but you can definitely run it, even on the later versions of Windows! If you're interested in purchasing, you can get it imported on Amazon (found this link on the Touhou wiki).

For newer Windows, you may experience problems with fps, the game running too fast, but that can be easily repaired with the VSync patch and fixing the program to run with Japanese locale. Also, if you use a Mac, you will likely have to get Wine for the program to run correctly.

the essentials are a good x-acto knife

http://xacto.com/products/cutting-solutions/knives

some white glue ,some paintbrushes to apply the glue,
patience and nimble fingers fingers.

Eventually you could buy a cutting mat so you don't damage your desk.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015AOIYI/ref=s9_top_hd_bw_bHm1Rb_g229_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-2&pf_rd_r=1X8E5D6R8RTKTFE7RH6V&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=08d57113-94d3-47ec-a3e5-6f0541049cc3&pf_rd_i=262643011

These are the essentials. Now depending if you buy the templates or decide to print them yourself, you might need a good printer and some paper, don't use normal paper, it will be to thin and won't work well you would do better buying thicker paper.

for more advice head to /r/papercraft even though it's not a very active sub, there you will find more answers to your questions.

Hum,this is strange,I'm pretty her favorite book is that .

u/drakeirving · 9 pointsr/touhou

Sorry, it's part of a book by John Szczepaniak, The Untold History of Japanese Game Developers. Please buy a copy if you are interested; the man worked extremely hard to make this book and did it out of passion for an incredible niche.

I've already posted the part of ZUN's interview relevant to this conversation.

Actually, this timeline does not give the full picture. Deadman also sold his "remixed" version of the song to big american music lable United Masters for $5000 and now they've put the song on a multiple music services around the world without crediting Shibayan Records. On Google Play, Amazon, iTunes and Qobuz the song is being sold for money. On Amazon Music, Napster, Spotify, Soundcloud, Deezer, Akazoo, iHeart, TIDAL, KKBOX (Taiwan), QQ (China), Yandex Music (Russia) and Jiosaavn (India) the song is technically free, but most likely they're still getting money from views. Also the song even went one the german radio (and I'm sure, the radiostation gave them money also). Again, Shibayan Records aren't credited anywhere and never got a penny from all of this money.

Even with $20-$30 shipping using a third party like Tenso to ship it internationally, it'd be far cheaper just to order it off amazon.jp where used ones are going for only 9800 yen ($80).

AMD Athlon II X2 215 benchmark: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Athlon+II+X2+215&id=128

Free: Overclocking. But since your CPU is not Black Edition, it is probably locked.

NEW AM3-socket CPUs are expensive (See AM3 CPUs on AMD.). They are at minimum 100 USD.

Get a used AMD Athlon II X3 460 (Benchmark) for ~30 USD on Amazon. Note that this CPU has 50% higher TDP than your current one's.

I would have just used some cheap headphones with similar round shape. There is even a purple version already of the Skullcandy Hesh, and you just have to paint the gold letters on. I think it would be more comfortable throughout the day.

I've been using one of these for a while now, the d-pad is really nice since it gives decent feedback (unlike my previous USB SNES controller)

last month when I first posted this, you were asking about that Flandre Scarlet figurine I used as the picture. I found it on Amazon. when I saw it, I remembered someone asked, and thought you might appreciate it. there are other similar figures on there, too. there's a Cirno listed as frequently bought together, and I see a Remilia and Reimu in the "customers who bought this also bought" list.

u/ArbyCreeper · 14 pointsr/touhou

That's a Nendoroid Plus Keychain btw. Actual Nendoroid is a plastic figure like this one
