Yep, it is nice to get one with a magnetic lid so that it doesn't spill, and you just put your herb on the grinder thingies and put the lid on and twist it. then when you open up the middle chamber you have nice fluffy buds to smoke.

You can do it with your fingers but I just really prefer having a grinder. It's cleaner and I feel like with doing it manually I end up losing more on my fingers or by dropping it.

Also, you can collect kief with a grinder, which is awesome. I actually just cleaned mine and got a ton of good stuff out of it.

The big ones work great (I've had 3) and the Junior ones (I've had 2) work decent, but get "clogged up" with spit & res more easily. I used them almost daily while smoking in my apartment or in the car. They work perfectly until they get filled with res/spit, and then you can either do an isopropyl soak or just buy a new one. Don't need one anymore b/c I have a different living situation, but I still keep one in the car to minimize lingering smoke.

YES. Grinders are great. Ground bud burns evenly and makes joints/blunts smoother and more consistent. And kief is like a special bonus; I like to save mine up until I'm almost out of weed, and then pour it over the bowl for that extra "zing".

I am also a girl, best friend and I both love marijuana. Its the only thing that keeps us grounded and stable. No matter how bad our day gets, we always have something great to look forward to. I use a four piece Sharp Stone (got it here) and it works great. A good one will usually run you around 30, but you can find ones on Amazon for under 10 that still get the job done. I would say that when you're collecting all your kief you get a nice scrapper/brush from Entsupercenter. You might want a kief press too, and I have a cali crusher that works great, and it came with my grinder.

I grow 2 plants per crop in a small grow tent, using this light. I also use some 4" ducting with an inline fan and a carbon filter which eliminates the smell during flowering. I just use regular potting soil, and Miracle Gro fertilizer.

In college I used to raw dog it in the closet with just a fluorescent grow light, but when the plants start to flower, they put out an unbelievable amount of smell. It's a nice smell, but here's literally no way to get by with it in an apartment.

I'd also recommend a good grow book, such as Marijuana Horticulture by Cervantes. It will really help diagnose things when something goes wrong.

With this setup I get a yield of over 2 oz cured bud per plant, so each crop is 4+ oz, and I can easily grow 3 crops per year. I get seeds from Herbie's; they ship reliably and discretely. The advantage of buying from a seed bank is that you can get some extremely powerful strains, medical strains, feminized seeds that are guaranteed female, autoflowers, etc.

If you need to do it more cheaply, you can build a r/spacebucket for $100-150 using common hardware store items. The drawback is that you can only grow 1 plant in a spacebucket, and the yield will only be 1-1.5 oz.

Honestly this Space Case is probably going to be the best grinder in general. It's made of a single piece of solid titanium which doesn't flake at all, unlike aluminum. I got my friend one for his birthday and he loves it, I don't think he's gonna have to buy another grinder ever again. And it's a 4 piece so it has your kief catcher for you!

Not the best for a "star projector", but definitely fun to have, and cool to space out on.

Weed is like anything else, it changes over time. So long as it is stored properly, the changes are harmless, and it can remain potent for a surprisingly long time, a couple of years at least. It won't taste good and it might be a little weaker, but it'll still give a nice high.

The biggest factor is humidity - if it is too damp, it'll mold, and then it's ruined. They make these things, which will keep it at 62%, and they are amazing. Highly recommended:

Keep it airtight, and don't let it get too warm (room temp is OK).

This Chromium Crusher. It has a clear top so you can see when your bud is done grinding, sharp and an anodized aluminum alloy, so no flaking. It also catches quite a lot of keif. I recommend. Happy tokin frient!

+1 to just ISO (99% OR 91% Isopropyl alcohol) and salt. Though I learned the hard way that if you're cleaning a grinder just use ISO. The salt makes it more difficult to reclaim the goods.

This process will take a couple/few hours but just let it sit in a bag, shake it around every so often, and of course one bag per item if it's glass. You don't want to lose a piece in the cleaning. Overnight is great too if you want. I strongly recommend pipe cleaners with hard bristles too.

If your only complaint is the battery, it's very easy to upgrade. Just about any rechargeable will do. These are popular and pretty inexpensive. All you have to do is rip all the plastic off and they are good to go.

One thing I miss that I used alot... is a roller. I can twist a J on my own but a roller was so nice to make really fat Js or I could do a mini blunt, just cut paper to length and let it dry in the roller. Works like a champ. Uhh I just get it at the grocery store its on amazon though if that helps or doesn't? I've never used anything else to compare it to. Its works well for me and I just use like regular salt in a ziplock baggy for bowls/pipes. Hasn't done me wrong yet.

I just use the "chromium crusher" i found on amazon, for around 20 bucks. Stainless steel, heavy, holds your kief very well and has that same screen to sift it all. Ive had this thing a year now, and it has no rust, barely any marks (and i beat the shit out of it), and still grinds great.

Just curious, do you find your joints or blunts get dried out when you roll all at once? Or do they stay fairly fresh? I've heard grinding makes weed dry out faster but I haven't experienced that.

Maybe try a screen like the size of the larger one in this grinder for filtering out stems? You'd obviously want something bigger, I'd expect, but it is a starting point.

Thanks! If you're having a hard time cleaning your piece, try 99% proof Isopropyl Alcohol (available in most supermarkets) and some kosher salt (since it's coarse, it acts as a good abrasive). Mix it in the pipe, shake vigorously and rinse. I know some ents prefer a broken in pipe, but for me there's nothing better than smoking from a fresh, clean pipe.

The Smoke Buddy is an excellent addition to the stealth-tokers arsenal, but the best method is to vape high quality concentrates out of a pen-style vaporizer, then exhale out the window through a carbon filter (smoke buddy or make a custom one). I got away with this for years with 0 suspicion from any of my extremely anti-weed family.

Edit: I also must mention that silly "sploof" idea where you put dryer sheets in a toilet paper tube simply does not work and will get you caught!

After having this grinder for about a week now I can confirm the scissor method works just as well, if not better sometimes. It does take longer and makes your hand cramp after a couple of minutes, the grinder is much quicker.

In today's world kids you can get glass easy. Use it, plastics and soft alloys are a bad idea when it comes to smoking.

(edit) this includes aluminum IMO. Almost all metal downstems and bowls you would get at a headshop are aluminum and it being a soft metal makes it less than ideal. Smoking out of aluminum foil is super bad.

Edit#2 My opinion is based on having watched many people smoke through foil and cans to the point of there being obvious and sometimes profound metal loss to ever make me comfortable with it. (unroll a foil pipe after a solid sesh) Where do you think that metal is going?

Hell I don't even use aluminum grinders as they can possibly leech material into your smoke (a soft metal grinder is an inherently flawed idea)

Mason jar should be good, just try to keep the box out of direct sunlight. If you are really worried about mold, or if you buy in bulk and don't want it to dry out, maybe consider a humidifier pack thingy.

Is the tenant smoking in the house? Or is it that they blow out the window and it wafts into Mr military s place? If they are smoking and exhaling inside, I'd tell them to cut that shit out. As you said, a vape is the best option, however I know lots of people who swear by bongs and just refuse to vape. As a final suggestion, I have seen a product called a smoke buddy which claims to filter smoke, no personal experience with it though.

Step one: Move all of your shit, drop it off at a frients house.
Step two: stop smoking for at least two weeks at your apartment.
Step three: start vaping with a smoke buddy

You should be fine.

This is what I bought when I wanted
a 4 peice but couldn't spend to much $$$. I've had mine for over a year now and no complaints . With plastic & cheap grinders that's when you should worry about particles mixing with your herbs, but with sharp stone grinders that's not something I'd be worried about :)
