It doesn't hurt to let your cigars age for a wee while, buying them now and smoking them in march should only be a good thing for them.
For myself, I like a minimum of 1 month before I smoke, which means that they've had time to settle and adapt to the humidity/temp of my tupperdor. some people age some cigars 5 years +! it's all preference really.

I use the 69 boveda packs, it's essential that you have a hygrometer/temperature device in there as well (they're cheap enough on Amazon) so that you can monitor the humidity and temperature.
I bought the 10 pack of 8gram boveda 69s link, they're little sachets that are particularly good for shipping.
In an air tight container like a tupperware box, it's harder for the box to cool down, so having the mini packs means you can add/remove them to maintain the correct temp/humidity - i have about 5 in mine at the moment (the tupperware box size also makes a difference on how many you need to use.

Haha, yup. That humidor has been a good friend. I can recommend the Xikar ELX. That is the black one in my photo. It' pretty damn good. 9mm punch at the bottom too. Great thing about Xikar is you can register any product with them and get a lifetime warranty on it. So if it breaks or buggers up you can send it to them and they will fix/replace it free of charge. You can buy it from any retailer and just register it and when you do they'll send you a free case for it too as a bonus. Here's a link if you are interested. It says £59.99 but if you look below there are a few ppl selling it for £34.99.

Or if you can wait a few months I can see if they still have any Vertigo lighters left at the store I go when I visit my old man. A boveda in one of those will pretty much last for a couple years and the only limit to how much you can store is the size of the lock n lock (there are bigger 12l ones which I use)
I recently looked myself, but couldn't find a UK source.
I got these as a stopgap. They're better than nothing, but I'm still hoping to find a source of actual bands.

They didn't last that long. They are intended to be single use and are very expensive as a long term solution. I didn't know about dehydrating them.
