The recent version by Orb is pretty good. There's an incredible version by Centipede Press but it's only a few thousand dollars! If something gets published by Centipede that's a definite clue to quality.

It comes in two books (it's a teratology - four books in 2 physical volumes - a bit confusing to the book buyer to be honest)

10 Billion by Stephen Emmott is a pretty chilling fact based read about population and resource use.

The Raw Shark Texts by Steven Hall has a similar tone and cinematic feeling, while having a very different setting and narrative.

You could always read a comic version of something related: http://www.amazon.com/Crime-Punishment-Illustrated-Classics-Graphic/dp/1411415949

There was a region-free release of the BluRay set that can be purchased on Amazon. It's twice as expensive as the Region B release for the Europe and Africas. :(

Most "conspiracy theorists" (a term coined by the CIA to belittle seekers, and finders, of truths) worth their salt, these days at least, believe that carbon dioxide driven catastrophic climate change, and overpopulation by extension, are myths concocted by the likes of David Rockefeller and his banker elitist ilk, to help establish authoritarian world government and initiate population reduction purely to keep a grasp on power, as, if there are too many people on earth, they could rise up and challenge the blossoming authoritarian world government, ruining their selfish, greedy, multi-generational plan.

The fact that Wilson, early in Season 1, a seemingly modern day truth-seeker with all the answers (conspiracy theorist) joins up with the evil Network is the most problematic aspect of the story, making Utopia reek of a public-relations/predictive programming agenda, catering to viewers who believe drastic measures must be taken immediately to combat a life-giving demon-gas, helping to conceal real problematic earth-ravaging problems like GMO, over-fishing, clear-cutting of ancient forests, heavy metals being pumped into the atmosphere by Chinese factories, etc.

There's a reason they call it "television programming." People within this Reddit are cheering on genocide and eugenics as if Hitler basically had it right, but was possibly just a bit misguided in his intentions. For those of you who believe this, please, do lead by example, won't you?...Kill yourself.
