Thank you! So first off, I LOVE Chemical Guys. I use a lot of their products to keep Val nice and clean. But when it comes down to to the day-to-day wipe down (for bird poop and such) I was getting weird streaks when not wiping the detailer off aggressively. Good move. You can get a TPMS only unit, similar to this Autel TS408 you can review their models, they all have different features.

I do work on a lot of cars so I have a full tablet MP808K but it uses the same TPMS software. Autel MP808K

You can find them much cheaper FYI, just using Amazon for ease on mobile. I’m mixed about all the special features Autel has but the TPMS works fine.

It says this one comes with Lollipop, mine actually came with Kitkat. So I had encountered some things that I figured I'd share with everyone from my journey on this damn thing. I tried both the "knobless" version that I have now that came with KK, and the "knob/button" version that came with Lollipop. The Knob version was PAINFULLY slow, and pretty much unusable. I ended up returning it for the no knob. The Kitkat one is so much lighter and faster. The Kitkat unit also produced a buzz/hiss whereas the Lollipop unit did not. I replaced it with a 2nd Kitkat unit and it did the same thing. I tossed in a couple ground loop isolaters and it fixed the issue.

There are also custom android roms by a guy named Malaysk on XDA you can load onto these, which I highly recommend doing. It fixed a lot of weird bugs I had on it. The biggest being that Bluetooth calls only came through the right speaker??

As far as the wheel controls, the unit supports them, I haven't gotten them to work yet.

The install was simple, but it did require the "expanding" of two holes underneath the car. I bought the drill bit (this was ALL explained in the hitch i purchased) and expanded the holes. I installed the hitch, which took about 15 minutes, and it's been solid and great ever since. Yes, its right below the exhaust so it will get dirty and a bit rusty since I didn't clean it. But for a 2012 Veloster with 105k on it, i'm happy with the way it turned out and i know nothing about cars/mod's. EDIT: I remember it being a bit cheaper when i bought this, but eh.

I don't use spotify, but rather have a pretty substantial library of music I listen to downloaded, and use a slim usb stick to play all my music. Its always there, barely visible, has 64gb of space and displays all album art.

For my daily commute, I don't bother taking my phone out of my pocket to use android auto. It's connected via bluetooth for calls in case of emergencies but that's it.

PS. I must have ordered the last sandisk that was made of metal, as the one amazon links is plastic, but was ~$20 canadian for 64gb.

I did this to my '13 VT about 6 months. I bought these for my map, dome, and trunk lights. I never actually did the vanity lights under the shade flaps, but they work great. Very bright.

edit: my trunk light was also a DE3175, but that may have changed from '13 to '16. So this 4 pack was just enough for the lights I needed to switch.

They look great and have lasted about 8 months. Everything fits in the light housing (no open dust caps). The velosters have H11B's. The plugs are a little different between these and the standard H11s. There's adapters out there, or just get a little creative in how to plug stuff in.

You could modify the screw plug that hides the tow thread to have like a letter box cut out in it so the strap comes out nicely instead of a huge hole and a piece of rope hanging out of it haha

Super cheap stuff from China. It came with a 12v cigarette adapter, and a USB adapter so you could easily power it from a USB battery bank if you just wanted to do this temporarily without bothering to wire things up in the car.
