> Gloves and Boots
> Some people like wearing gloves while doing carts. It suppose to keep your hands from getting dried out or something. I've never had the issue. Too each his own. I would honestly wear boots over gym shoes. Boots are a little hot but they keep your toes from being smashed as easily.

Walmart Cart associate with three years experience here. Going to clarify and disagree with this.

You bring gloves for two reasons, first, is when you're doing a carry-out to get a better grip on the box you're lifting, if it's an awkward size and you have a hard time getting under it, a good pair of gloves will help. I recommend Mechanix mpact's, I'm almost convinced someone at Mechanix designed them just for cart pushing. They also keep you from pinching your fingers especially badly. I know my gloves have saved me more than once from some pretty serious cuts from fingers being pinched. In fact today, while not wearing my gloves, I ended up bleeding pretty badly because of exactly that.

Secondly, boots are for heavy rain or snow. If you wear them every day for long periods of time, you will destroy your arches and it will be painful. If you need to be waterproof you should wear them, but otherwise a good (not $15 Walmart bought) set of running shoes are really the only way to go if you want to get up the next morning and not have your feet hurt. Currently I'm wearing Brooks Ravenna 8's, which are a little on the pricey side, but Brooks are my absolute favorite brand of shoe for working. The risk of hurting your toe for a few minutes is, in my opinion, worth it compared to having the skin peel off the bottom of your feet and walking on blisters all day.

I should also mention that while a hat is a good start, sunglasses are going to do a lot for preventing headaches on particularly sunny days. Eye strain is a serious deal when you're walking in and out of the store all day, and it can do a number on your vision after a while. Again I'll recommend what I wear, and that's currently these J+S aviators. Make sure whatever you wear is polarized, otherwise it really doesn't matter if you wear them or not.

That's my $0.02, and everyone is going to have their own preferences, so your mileage may vary.

If you thought the RCAs sounded fine, then you'd probably be happy with the Blackweb. The electronics DM and I both agree that the new Blackweb soundbar is just the cheap RCA one in nicer packaging, so I doubt there's much difference.

But you do get what you pay for. If you save up, you can find a name brand used AVR on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace for under $100. Spend another $100 on speakers (Something like this ) and you have a much better quality setup that you can upgrade off of in the future

There's no way that any of this is justified even if the show is a masterpiece for the ages.

It's still just Oreos, as good as Oreos are. Are they planning on collecting these? Some families pass on Faberge eggs, some pass on GOT Oreos.

If they're selling for $12 on Amazon then you'll have every person trying to get rich quick asking for oreos, https://www.amazon.com/Limited-Thrones-Classic-Chocolate-Sandwich/dp/B07PM39LMT/ This is why we can't have nice things.

"Sorry, our system isn't perfect, so no you won't be able to resell these for $10 profit each, better luck next trend," as far as 'wasting the gas,' which also, they could have phoned and maybe GOTten an answer.

Edit: Would we get terminated if now that we know we can possibly make $10 off some oreos and other garbage on amazon if we started scanning stuff with an amazon sellers app before we stocked it on the floor? Maybe I want to buy a carton of oreos on my break and make $100. Gentlemen, I think we found the silver lining of this job.

I'd recommend a glove called Atlas Therma Fit. You can sometimes find them locally at hardware stores, not Walmart, in their gardening glove section. They're on Amazon too. They provide the best balance of warmth and grip while still being able to feel buttons on a Telxon. Also make sure your head and ears are covered by a hoodie or beanie and move around a lot! If you're standing around not working up body heat you'll get cold quickly no matter what you wear.

Blue t-shirt, khaki or black dickies, unzipped vest, keen steel toe construction shoes. I do mods until 2am then from 3am to 7am i run our GM backroom. Im the only surviving ims in our store and its just something that has stuck. I bin all non consumable gm freight. Stage for cap 1 and cap 2. Organize the nights freight worked or unworked. Breakdown and put up top steel pdq and features. Then at 7:15am i hand the nights rundown to our SM. Leave about 7:20am. I AM CAP 3

Edit: these are the shoe in question. Its amazing goinf on two years and still holding strong.

In case anyone else is interested in the iPad deal, Amazon is matching it and with Prime free shipping (not sure if shipping is free without prime?)

Was trying to order it and Walmarts site kept crashing so I guess Amazon wanted my money more!

Bought a bunch of Calvin Klein boxer briefs for $10 a piece on Amazon when they were on sale, normally they're like $30 a piece. Lmao here is my favorite style. Worth the splurge in my opinion.

May I also recommend Sweat Block? Sweat Block I know we sold it in our deodorant aisle years ago, don’t know if we still do. They’re these stronger clinical strength wipes that you pat on your armpits and it lasts for up to a week. You can use deodorant as usual. I used to use it all the time when I was IMS because I sweated so much in the backroom, and it was a lifesaver. I’ve been back on my store’s mod team for almost 3 years now, tho, and don’t have a need for Sweat Block anymore.

Also, how old is the fragrances you’re using? They do expire after so long. Just another thing to be mindful of. I strongly recommend cutting back on fragrance application.

Not shit like TP and toiletries.

Just an example.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Charmin-Ultra-Soft-Toilet-Paper-9-Mega-Rolls-284-sheets-per-roll/658536291

https://www.amazon.com/Charmin-Ultra-Toilet-Paper-Tissue/dp/B00XBTYPXK/ref=sr_1_29?keywords=charmin+ultra+soft&qid=1574948308&sr=8-29

I spend a ton on Amazon, don't get me wrong, but some shit just has extremely small profit margins, and shipping directly to your house is definitely going to cost more. Buying a few cans of soup will definitely not be cheaper on Amazon.

Lol man it makes me laugh every time I get on reddit and check my messages. Without fail I always have a message from you waiting and it really makes my day. It must feel pretty valiant to defend a company who doesn't give a shit if you're there or not. I'm glad you're making a difference in the walmart world. They don't appreciate you and never will, but good for you. How you can get so butt hurt over a company that thinks you're disposable is beyond me, but if walmart was ran by people who fought the way you did, maybe they'd be around another 70 years. But as we both know digital is the new marketplace, and walmart probably won't be around by the time we're dead...because the company didn't realize that internet shopping was going to be a big deal. Now excuse me while I go cook this bomb bacon that I bought off amazon, it's pretty legit. here's you a link if you want http://www.amazon.com/Half-Slab-Bacon-5-5-6-5--rind/dp/B0000CDASJ/ref=sr_1_15_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1458461470&sr=8-15&keywords=bacon

I buy these for myself. They're really warm and pretty easy to slip off quickly to hit the screen on an MC40. They're $30 in season, but if you buy them off season they're only like $20.

These kind work really well for me. http://www.amazon.com/Carhartt-Mens-Glove-Large-X-Large/dp/B005I34SZM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1464756021&sr=8-3&keywords=carhartt+gloves

Or the ones with knuckle protection. However, you'll be surprised to find out how quickly this job can wear out a pair of sturdy gloves. Even leather, it'll be smooth within a month.

I'd recommend insoles for your shoes, too, and honestly, I wouldn't work CAP2 without safety-toe boots. Steel or composite, your choice. It's just an added layer of safety. Broken toes are not fun.

Currently wearing a pair of Osiris "Loot" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSBNS6U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_xRuGAbQG6EH06 in the black with white. Sizes run a half size small in this style.

The walking comfort isn't over exaggerated or too little. The break in period typically for this shoe is about 4 to 7 days to loosen up any stiffness throughout. About 3 weeks for a full break-in (full foot embraced movement)

I'm super picky when it comes to shoes and these have my vote of would buy another pair.

u/EternallyWarped · 2 pointsr/walmart

They're great! This is the one I got:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GSLW9CM

It holds 148 batteries of various sizes, including those little CR2032 disc batteries.

The Baofeng radios work nice. You just have to be careful not to connect to a police or emergency frequency with these. You will have to ask your store what frequency they use. I don't think it would be smart to post the frequency on here.
