I think this is awesome. A comedian did a bit about this subject; he was black and his wife was white and she didn't know how to handle their daughter's hair. The mom wrote and published a book called "Chocolate Hair Vanilla Care".

This seems to be that bat and it’s $300. I could be wrong, but that’s the brand and it seems to say “VELO” on the side.

That’s a nice gift.

> Unless the parents have uncanny knowledge of when their kid is going to take a dump

It's that one. He's 11 months and basically walking now, and she's said that he now exhibits an effort to 'hold it' until she gets him to a potty since that's now what he's accustomed to. But if you've been reading this thread, you can see that it's not only possible but normal in some cultures to start potty training (either the kid or the parents) in infancy.

EDIT: She used this book as a guide: https://www.amazon.com/Diaper-Free-Baby-Natural-Training-Alternative/dp/0061229709

As someone with an unfortunate variation on the Midas Touch (every food I make turns to shit) crepes are really difficult to screw up. Having a well-seasoned carbon steel crepe pan like the one in the video makes them even harder to mess up. If I can make crepes, anyone can!

I only met the principal of my elementary school once, after I'd been called to her office because someone witnessed "me" spraying the girl's bathroom stall's locks with that [liquid spray candy] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0069VYGQI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_TCs2Ab3F89023) (very popular in the late 90's) making them all sticky.

The principal grilled me pretty hard, asked me whether the spray candy was something my mother put in my lunches-- which I admitted it was-- and asked me why on earth I would do that to school property. I kept denying it, telling her that I didn't do it, I wouldn't even think to do that, but she just kept saying that someone saw me doing it and reminded me that it's an inconvenience for people using the bathroom and that it would upset the custodial staff who had to clean it up. This went on for nearly 30 minutes; just me denying it and her telling me that I should be ashamed of myself.

Eventually, it occurred to me that I should mention I have an older sister who (at that time in our lives) looked very similar to me. After I said that the principal just looked blankly at me for a few seconds. She stood up, opened the door and asked someone to page my sister's classroom and call her down to the office. The principal just let me go back to class.

In the hallway, I passed my sister and we stopped for a second (because we barely ever saw eachother in the hallways). She asked me where I was coming from and I said I was just in the office, and she said she was headed there. Then we parted ways... it seems obvious in retrospect, but neither of our young minds registered what was happening. She didn't realize why she was being called to the office, and I didn't realize that my sister actually did do the crime and I just ratted her out lol
