In this book, you (or whomever you may wish to gift it to) will encounter unicorns, mermaids, princesses, and a wide variety of other cute creatures sharing their adventures. The age-appropriate backgrounds filled with flowers, castles, forests, ponds, and plenty more makes for fun coloring. The large format is perfect for small and unsteady hands and also work in favor of those with more experience who may wish to color with the utmost detail. There is no better way to stimulate both the creativity and the imagination of a child. The Colorful Unicorn makes for a great gift! If you (or your child) love cute unicorns, mermaids, and princesses, get your copy today. A magical adventure awaits!

By design, The Colorful Unicorn is intended for young audiences. This is not an adult coloring book; the illustrations within are carefully designed (and charmingly hand drawn) to appeal to ages 4-8. If, however, you’re in love with unicorns, pay no attention to this!

First, please consider the exact words she wrote, then. the situation I am in. Imagine this as a blurb on the back cover of your debut novel:
"In spite of the novel's commitment to naturalism's ambiance, its tone is not despairing but deeply sentimental; it reads, quickly and pleasurably, like a salty revision of Angels with Dirty Faces."
* * *
"This novel evokes the early Stephen Crane: it is feverishly committed to naturalism-vernacular, sex and drugs, etc. – but it is finally inspired by a sad, soft humanism. It caters in equal parts to prurience and to a non-taxing liberalism. It was easy to read and unexpectedly absorbing."

That's part of what Virginia Heffernan, previously senior editor at Harper's, and staff writer at the NYT, etc., had to say. about my novel - words that any writer would love to get from any critic! Such glowing remarks from a top flight critic would almost certainly guarantee a few thousand sales!

So here's the deal: Virginia read the manuscript years ago when she was a graduate student in journalism at Harvard and was working as a fact-checker for The New Yorker. She wrote a short review of Scream to give to New Yorker columnist Mark Singer, who, when he went to Crete, Greece, to interview me about a book he was writing, had volunteered to read and comment on the novel but instead forwarded her summary and review to me. a very gracious act. And remember now, Virginia Heffernan is a real smart lady and highly regarded writer herself. Her assessments in the literary world are respected. (Check the wiki entry on her.) She loved my novel! And her words carry weight. Hence this effort to draw attention to them.

Some backstory to all this: After three spurts of trying to get an agent, I recently published my novel independently on Amazon at this address: https://www.amazon.com/Try-Hard-Scream-Terry-Gantry/dp/1093700386/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Try+Hard+Not+to+Scream&qid=1572168297&s=books&sr=1-1

Fun Facts: Hard copies of the manuscript (which I subsequently carefully updated, and edited out a couple of sex scenes) went back and forth between Mike Misenheimer in an Indiana prison and me on a Greek island over a period of years. A long-term prisoner, Mike was the creative spark and a critical co-author of Try Hard Not to Scream. Earlier, Mike had been the main co-author of the minor nonfiction prison classic An Eye for an Eye and the novel Framed, which was translated into several languages and which Paramount made into a feature film starring Joe Don Baker, who had starred in "Walking Tall" two years earlier. I got Mike out of prison shortly before "Framed" came out on the big screen and went to see it with him.

For this thriller, I used the nom de plume Terry Gantry and think Mike and I co-created a damned good book. One that "evokes the early Stephen Crane"? !

There are thousands of people on Reddit who want to become voice actors but are not sure how to develop their voice before they start buying equipment and auditioning. I therefore hope that this book will help any who want to give it a try!

Is your voice sabotaging your first impression by being weak, croaky or nasal?

Are people asking you to slow down or speak up when you talk?

Do you find your voice hurts after a short speech or are your opinions being ignored?

All of these factors are the results of poor speech habits which 'Speak and Be Heard' aims to remove from your vocal routine!

'Speak and Be Heard' contains a collection of 101 voice and breathing exercises suitable for beginners to accomplished Toastmasters aimed at naturally improving your voice.

Written by voice actor and audiobook narrator Richard Di Britannia, his exercises aim to help you speak with confidence and curate a warm, rich, natural voice that people enjoy listening to.

You will learn:

  • Ways to empower yourself with three key concepts that create a great voice.
  • How to identify weaknesses in your own voice and how to fix them.
  • Exercises to rectify breathing problems and strengthen the muscles used when talking.
  • How to make your voice deeper or higher in pitch.
  • Routines to clearly vocalise all forty-four phonemes of the English language such as 'st', 'th', and drills on difficult to pronounce words.

Unlike books dedicated to tongue twisters or recitations of long speeches which can be overwhelming, 'Speak and Be Heard' is even suitable for those with complex vocal issues. It deconstructs and rebuilds your voice through Di Britannia's bespoke system. If you struggle with a particular vocal sound, mouth-shape or just have an anxiety when talking, 'Speak and Be Heard' aims to help you overcome your weaknesses!

Hey Everyone!

I just finished and released my second novel in the Origo series called "Ghost". In celebration I am making "Ghost" FREE on the Amazon Kindle store for a limited time. It is part two of the Origo series. If you search for the book on Amazon, the easiest way to find it is to type in "Ghost Tucker French". It is a continuation of "Haven". For those of you who did not read "Haven", the premise of the first book was that Earth was unable to support itself and was slowly dying. Pollution and overpopulation has run rampant for decades and have caused irreparable damage to the planet. The first book focused on a select group of humans, who take it upon themselves to venture into space and look for a new home for the Human race.

"Ghost" picks up where "Haven" left off. Lieutenant Nicholas Snow and his squad are on Origo and are desperately looking for a way off the planet. Follow them through their journey as they face new obstacles on the foreign planet.

I hope those of you who do download "Ghost" enjoy the story as much as I did when I was writing it.

One thing that I do ask is that you please leave an honest review of the book on the Amazon page when you finish reading it. I would be extremely grateful! Even if you don't have time to read the book now, I still encourage you to download it and save it for later! Thank you all, and I hope you enjoy the book!

Alice May Parker moves with her family to the sleepy town of Pacific Grove after her Mom dies, but little does she know the strange and terrifying events to come. When she falls into the bay during a kayaking trip, she is rescued from drowning by the mysterious Henry Raphael. Handsome, old fashioned and cordial, he is unlike any other boy she has known before. Intelligent and romantic, he sees straight into her soul. Soon Alice and Henry are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance until she finds out that Henry is not all what he seems. . .

"A supernatural mystery, a coming of age story with romance, faith and hope. The biggest theme in the novel is what it means to be alive, focusing on Alice as she tries to navigate her grief for her mother, her new relationship, and her family. As history, a curse and ghosts plague the town, life and death are tackled in a unique way. Tony Lee Moral doesn't shy away from his characters questioning belief, and they are confronted with whether they need to see to believe, or believe to see. The plot comes full circle by the end, but the last page will leave you wanting more. It's clear this is just the beginning for Alice. A must read with strong prose that carries an eerie undercurrent, slowly delving into details as the mystery unfolds." - Readers Favoritehttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PFJKPKP

What is Deliverance?

It's an action novel drawing inspiration from car-chase movies, the sounds of Outrun music, racing games and the sheer cool of rally Group B.

Here's the blurb:

>A crew of two, Deliverance is a different sort of courier. Anything, anywhere in Japan, for anyone, at top speed. They’ll outrun the cops, they’ll outwit mobsters, they can face whatever the road throws at them. Just follow the rules and pay up front.
>
>But resourceful outsider Neil Goodwood, Deliverance’s navigator and loadmaster, is in trouble. His old friend and business partner Masa, the driver, is dead—run down, car stolen. Maybe he’s next. So he recruits young, gifted sports car mechanic and rally driver Suzu Hama. It’s the opportunity she’s been looking for, but she’s new to all this and needs to learn the ropes fast.
>
>Because Deliverance has become a target.
>
>And in the shadows behind the peaceful, advanced society of modern Japan, the Yakuza are feuding. Those who control everything in the underworld of Japan are about to go to war on their own kind, and no-one is safe.
>
>As they crisscross Japan at high speed, Suzu and Neil need to stay ahead of the pursuit. Somehow, they must find out whose sights they are in, and why.
>
>> “I would probably binge read the whole book if I had more time…very fun and exciting…a blast to read”
>>
>>– Quentin Smith
>
>Inspired by outrun culture and the synthwave/retro-electro scene, Deliverance is a fresh, turbo-charged, gleefully retro-styled new action novel from author Josh Quillan.

The first 41 and a half pages (why this much? Ask Amazon!) are available to preview in the 'look inside' section - just click the cover. That's the whole first chapter, featuring a Lancia Delta versus a gang of bikers on the expressways and streets of Tokyo.

You can find a soundtrack I've put together for the book here.

Enjoy!

Oh, and sorry about the high price of the paperback. That's about as cheap as I can make it. I get £0.09p per copy!

Hello, my name is J.D. Bloodstone, author of Think & Grow Balls! and two other self-improvement books that address what I think most self-improvement books are missing. I not only talk about what is missing, but I actually provide you the missing pieces that you need to achieve your definite major purpose in life. There is also a pocket-sized version of TAGB here:

http://www.amazon.com/Think-Grow-Balls-Pocket-Sized-Edition/dp/1300380691/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1405892531&sr=8-4&keywords=think+and+grow+balls

My second book, a sequel to TAGB is called Awaken the Balls Within: How to Unleash Your Willpower & Determine Your Destiny. It expands upon TAGB. You can find it here:

http://www.amazon.com/Awaken-Balls-Within-J-D-Bloodstone/dp/1304374602/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405892628&sr=8-1&keywords=awaken+the+balls+within

My third book is called The 10 Habits of Highly Ballsy People: How to Flex Your Mind & Engorge Your Life. It continues to expand on TAGB and ATBW and concludes the series. You can find it here:

http://www.amazon.com/Awaken-Balls-Within-J-D-Bloodstone/dp/1304374602/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405892628&sr=8-1&keywords=awaken+the+balls+within

I finished writing TAGB almost seven years ago and have been marketing it ever since. Hundreds of people have read it and I'm confident you will enjoy it. I wrote ATBW and 10HHBP in the last year so not many people have had the chance to read them. I would really love to know what you guys think of my books. Please stay in touch and let me know!

So in college I got a degree in history and political science. One time, a professor said something epic about the Ottoman empire rolling through Hungary and I couldn't contain myself; I shot onto facebook and shared the story with friends. I got a tepid response and decided I would share my history stories with people whenever I heard them. Over the next four years I got better at writing and better at sleuthing out the best and most interesting stories from those I discovered. When I finally got around to compiling my tales and writings, I had somewhere around 200 pages of very random and, in my opinion, humor driven history. The result was a patchwork of vignettes and short stories from around the globe and throughout the ages. Stories about Chinese pirate lords, English anti-coffee petitions (this particular petition was put forth by "Several Thousands of Buxome Good-Women, Languishing in Extremity of Want"), and an octopus that crawls out of a toilet to wreck havoc on a Roman warehouse are just some of the collection of over one hundred moments in history.

I self-published it through Amazon under the title "Veni, Vidi, Didici" as a play off Caesar's "Veni, Vidi, Vici". It's also available on Createspace in print, but the best deal is most definitely on Kindle. I'm hoping people will be able to read it and give some commentary back on it.

Hi! I actually wrote Elf Mastery a few years back but through work and going back to school for a Master's haven't done as much marketing as I'd like. A young elf woman named Kyla Nim leaves home to find her role in the World of Order (which is our world, but what we call science is actually fairies and elves and other magical creatures working behind the scenes). In her humble appointment as a messenger, she accidentally runs afoul of Erebus, the god of darkness, who seeks to bathe the world in eternal darkness. Pursued by Erebus' powerful followers, she tried to enact a plan to stop him.

Book Two, Elf Doubt, came out last year, though I'll create a separate post for that. I am currently working on the third book, Elf Righteous.

My highlight so far is that Piers Anthony has read both of my books for his newsletter. Otherwise, my review count is still pretty low so I'm trying a marketing push.

I love talking about my books and characters and am happy to field any questions here, as well as discussion on the self-publishing journey. I will also provide the link to the book on Amazon below.

My latest gamebook (think something like Choose Your Own Adventure) was just released on Amazon.

>"June 1987 - a Soviet Intelligence collection ship is found adrift with all hands lost and evidence that points to a possible secret research station on the bottom of the ocean. It is up to you to take a submarine to the seafloor station and recover as much as possible from the base before the Soviet Navy is able to secure the facility.
>
>Your choices will determine how the story will unfold and whether or not your mission is successful.
>
>Are you ready to go to the seafloor and raid Soviet Seafloor Station Ustritsa?"

I am pretty proud of it. If you like science fiction with a few fantastic elements, you might enjoy it.

Hey. If you want more details about the book, here is the blurb and the link:

"Everywhere you look, people are going out on adventures. Your social media feeds are full of happy snaps of clear skies and famous locations free of tourists. Not only that, travel is becoming more and more accessible for many people. Yet, to be perfectly honest, while there is a lot to like about travelling, it sure as hell doesn’t always go as smoothly as it seems to in those photos you have been drooling over at work. They just don’t show the reality of travel. When your best friend posted that shot, they forgot to tell you they waited an hour for a gap in the crowd to appear, just to get that perfect snap of the Colosseum. Travel involves visiting great locations. Yet, it is also full of tourist traps, horrible meals and smelly hotel rooms. Lost baggage, cancelled flights and food poisoning. In this book, you will find stories from my travels across eighteen countries. I had lots of fun and had some crazy times. I also got sick, lost and had many close shaves. So, come along, and follow me as I talk to strangers, follow street dogs into questionable areas and have polite conversations with prostitutes. It’s finally time to read real travel stories without the filter.Countries covered:·Australia ·New Zealand ·Brazil ·USA ·Ireland ·North Ireland ·Scotland ·England ·France ·Italy ·Greece ·Austria ·Czech Republic ·Germany ·The Netherlands ·Belgium ·Turkey ·Hungary "

My Review (Biased) : A Leisurely Stroll In The Dark is a tale of resilience, moral ambiguity, and desperate asymmetric warfare. By the end, it is unclear what actions of the protagonist can be rationalized as a depraved necessity to achieve a worthy goal, and what may classify him as a villain - that is up to your own judgement.

This novel takes place in a familiar setting, be it exaggerated to bring to the forefront the question of Freedom vs Security in our current society. Small-scale breaches of privacy today by media behemoths and the like are largely ignored by the public, how far must they go before it is considered an infringement on our fundamental natural right to self-property? How late is too late to act? This novel creates a world that represents this scenario, while maintaining realistic undertones that complement it's immersive imagery.

The relatability of our main and supporting characters along with the impartial nature of our narrator allows for a discussion of sensitive subject matters without patronizing the reader. A Leisurely Stroll In The Dark begs questions of the unknown state of surveillance in our own communities, as well as our tolerance for such as people with "nothing to hide". All in all a fantastic read.

Consider this novel if you wish to explore the future of your own autonomy.
