I have tried using multiple inputs on both the receiver (Game, Video 1, Video 2, etc) and the LG tv (HDMI 1,2 (arc),3, and 4) and the problem still remains. I have tried using the specific input (video 2) that I use for the my Apple TV 4k for the Xbox.

I usually use 7.1 uncompressed audio output on the Xbox and Dolby surround sound field setting on my Sony receiver. I tried different audio outputs (5.1 uncompressed, dolby, dts, and atmos bitstream) on the Xbox and different sound field setting on the receiver ( 2 CH/Multi:Direct, 2 Channel Stereo, Front surround, Neural:X. None of the changes to either the receiver sound field settings or the Xbox audio outputs settings made any difference.

On my Apple TV, I use the Auto setting (Apple TV automatically uses the best audio format, including Dolby Atmos when available) and have no problems with watching/listening to content formatted in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

Is it worth investing in a new HDMI cable even though Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos both work simultaneously on my Apple TV 4k with the Amazon Basics HDMI cable? Any recommendations for HDMI cables that are guaranteed to work with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos? Also why would the Amazon Basics HDMI cable work for Apple tv and not the Xbox?

I think all bluetooth controllers work with xcloud/console streaming as long as it has all of the buttons as an Xbox One Controller

I bought the IPEGA PG-9083S from amazon and it works wonderfully with xcloud and console streaming on both my phone and 8 inch galaxy tab A 2019. the only thing missing is the actual Xbox Guide (Home) button but luckily microsoft was smart enough to have that button added as an on screen button on the top center of the app during streaming (can even open the power menu by long pressing it)

Not OP, but from context I think they meant in the gamepad, not the thumbstick. It would be possible to use noise canceling techniques to tune out the gamepad sounds by measuring shell vibration, so that could hypothetically work.

It would still need a dedicated PTT button though. I feel like the existing headset adapter with the game/chat balancer, volume, and mute/unmute buttons is a better option here. This the specific clip I bought a few years ago and still use. It leaves enough space on the side for the headphone port to still be used on a controller and has a gap on the back so you can still recharge your controller as well. The kickstand for the clip is fantastic as well since it keeps your controller and phone balanced.

If you have a heavier phone consider taking the case off to minimize weight while playing or using an Xbox One X controller to help balance against the phone.

Consideration before potentially buying, this only works on Moto Z smartphones (z Play, z, z Force, z2 Play, z2, z2 Force, z3 Play, z3) and the Home button cannot be rebound, so the guide button can't be used for streaming.

I have the fans that are cooling my console plugged into one of the tv's USB ports so when the Xbox boots and eventually turns the tv on, it also powers the fans. This won't help with the Xbox when it's updating in standby, but the rest of the time it works pretty well. When I upgraded to an X from an S model, I couldn't believe how much more heat the X was generating.

On the LG make sure you just use HDMI 1, and enable the deep colour option. You must have done that already as it's the only way to get HDR from an external source.

I used to use Atmos with my XB1, but the XB1 implementation of Atmos isn't the best, and is buggy as hell, so stick with 7.1 uncompressed for the best stable sound.

Reading the reviews for the Amazon Basics cables there were people complaining about the quality control, how some cables were fine, yet some had HDCP / handshake issues. I was definitely seeing issues with mine, but only with the XB1X. If I used the same cable with PS4 Pro, even in 4K, it was ok.

Out of ideas, I bit the bullet and just bought a more expensive cable from Amazon;

(It wasn't that exact item, but the same brand & cable. Mine was a multi pack version which is no longer on sale.)

All I can say is that it fixed my issues. I use the XB1X HDMI lead that it came with to go from my XB1X to my AVR, and then the XO cable I linked to go from my AVR to my LG C7.

My Amazon Basics cables link my Switch and PS4 Pro to my AVR without any issues.

Rather than buy a new HDMI do you know someone who could loan you an official MS HDMI lead to replace the Amazon Basics one from the AVR to your LG?

This might already be in the works. I preordered the LucidSound LS15X Wireless Gaming Ear Buds because they [at the time] were going to be the first truly wireless audio solution to directly pair with the Xbox. Sadly, they had to switch to a USB dongle:

What this suggests to me is possible USB audio support.

That said, I would love if I could just plug in a BT 4.0+ adapter and pair any audio (or mouse, or KB) with my Xbox using universal drivers. It's kind of sad that my Xbox 360 had a better wireless headset experience than my X1X has.

Yeah, this is not a storage problem. I have an M.2 SSD in my desktop which has a theoretical max write of 2100MB/s, and like I stated in my OP, I can download games from Steam at ~60MB/s (~480Mbps). MS Store on PC or Xbox doesn't get anywhere as close.
