I changed my shipping location to my brother since I was able to get one reserved at Best Buy. Here is my exchange with Amazon through email:

Selected Order Items:
Xbox One Console - Day One Edition
Comments:Good Afternoon,
>First I want to preface this by saying not to alter my order in anyway as I don't want to risk the chance of losing my spot for a day one order.
>The page for this item (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CMQTVK0/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) clearly states:
>Orders are guaranteed to be available on the Release Day of November 22, 2013.
>My delivery status on my order currently states:
>Delivery estimate We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date.
>You have some worried customers in the following two discussions:

>Reading through those discussions you can see that it has happened to a bunch of people and we are worried we won't get our preorder on release date. Some support people have said that is just a technical glitch that will be fixed while others have said that we may have problems getting our orders. I personally should be one of the first in line as I ordered on the original opening of the date of June 10th. I recently changed the address it was being shipped to as I am going to send this one to my brother. Once I changed the address it showed that statement as the delivery estimate.
>People are just worried they won't get their system. Hopefully this is just a glitch and will clear up in a few days but is there anyway to know for sure? Can we get word from a high level support member to verify?
>I do a lot of business with you guys and hope that this glitch will get rectified. I know your support is usually top notch. Maybe someone in support can post on these 2 topics and ease our minds.
>Thank you for the help,
Here was there generic response but this may have been what triggered the research into the matter as I made sure to specify that this needs to move up the chain of command to someone who knows something. This support member was obviously a Level I following a script. I'd like to hear from an actual manager or a statement from Amazon that we are safe with our orders.
>Hello,
>I understand your concern about the estimated date for "Xbox One Console - Day One Edition".
>I'm forwarding your comments to the appropriate managers. You might not see an estimated delivery date on the order detail page due to the volume of pre orders at this item. However, you'll receive an email when your order is shipped with your tracking number. Your order could ship any time between the Release-Date.

Ya I got mine and they are a dream. It works with every console, PC, PS4, PS3, XB1 and XB360 (I don't know about Wii, but I doubt you are getting them for that). The mic sounds like a dream from what my friends say and the sound quality is amazing. There is even a special mode you can put the headset in to make games like COD easier because it makes footsteps louder. You can even have it connected to the console and PC at the same time, all you have to do is plug the optical cable into the console to get the sound how you normally would and then plug the USB power cable into your PC instead of the console. You get sound from your PC and console and you can change the levels by pressing the buttons on the headset. I usually do it so I can talk to my friends on Skype, but you can do it to listen to music or whatever you want. If you aren't rolling in money then you can get a refurbished pair for $100 less (It's refurbished by Astros themselves so it's good). If you have any other questions I be happy to help, I have nothing else to do.
Edit: The first refurbished pair I got didn't work, so I just sent them back and they sent me another pair in 5 days and they work great.
I'm going to assume the $120 is just for the headset and not for the mixamp too. What not just buy a set of A50s if thats the case? They are expansive, but great quality and well worth it. The surround sound is incredible and its not something ordinary headphones will support. The only downside is that you have to charge them regularly (every 8-10 hours of use or so), but you can do it while using them. Make sure you buy a second toslink/optical audio cable. One for the XB1 and one for the 360. That way, you can just plug out the cable from the receiver and plug in the other to switch between the 360 and the XB1. You don't need to do this if you plug your 360 into your XB1 with the passthrough. I've got individual cables for the XB1, 360, PS4 and PC and its super easy and fast to switch between them.
I think its well worth saving up a bit of extra cash to go for the A50s. If you want to save some money on it, go for a refurbished pair from Amazon. They are checked over by Astro to make sure they are working properly. They are basically headsets that someone returned because they didn't want it or something small was broken and had to be fixed. I have a refurb pair myself and they are absolutely solid. You wont be getting the new model, but the only difference is the colour (this one is nicer IMO). The A50s are a stead at just under $200
EDIT: I forgot to mention two things. With that refurbished model, you'll need to pick up the Xbox Stereo Headset Adapter too. You'll basically need to for voice chat only. Just set up the A50s normally and just turn up the chat audio on the adapter (bottom left button) all the way and it will eventually cancel out the game sound from the adapter. Then just use the volume on the adapter and headset to fine tune how loud the game and voice is. I set the adapter at full volume and use the heat set to blend the chat and game sound to how I like it. Its much simpler than it sounds.
Another cool thing you can do with the A50s and Chat adapter is plug in your iPod or phone and listen to music when you're not chatting to anyone. You will lose all chat audio while listening to music though (game volume is fine since its coming from the Astro receiver).
I keep reading comments like these and it's fair enough if you don't think it's worth it to you, as there is at least a $100 to $150 price tag to 'try out' the Kinect (with the console, or purchased separately).
That being said, unless you've already extensively used the Kinect at a friend's place or something, saying "you wouldn't use it anyways" when you have never used it is pretty dismissive of the new tech. There were tons (TONS) of posts on this sub when the Xbox One first came out (where Kinect wasn't an option) about people saying how they didn't think they would use it, or they were actually upset they had to buy it with the Xbox One, and after using it for a few days or weeks, all of a sudden they love it, they use it all the time, and use it in ways they didn't think they would. Just search this sub for "Kinect" in the post title and check out some of the interesting anecdotes people have if you're interested.
Like I said, it's your money, so it's up to you if you wanted to get it. If it's not worth the extra $100-$150 to you with the console, then I highly recommend you try it elsewhere or purchase it when it drops in price later in the Xbox One console's life-cycle. I thought it would be 'cool new tech' when it was released, but it's fully changed how I interact with the Xbox and use it as my main entertainment hub in the living room. I definitely could not go without the functionality of the Kinect now.
Main useful tip for a console w/o Kinect, is double tapping the xbox home button brings up the snap/unsnap option, and if you're in game, double tap the home button and hit x to record the last 30 seconds of your gameplay. You can also snap game DVR > select end clip now > and choose up to the last 5 minutes of gameplay to record. Also, since you're Kinectless, I highly recommend the Xbox One Media Remote. It has additional buttons for bringing up the OneGuide (Xbox TV Guide), it's backlit, small and you don't have to worry about your controller turning off to rewind/fast forward/pause Netflix, TV, etc.
Also, download the Xbox One Smartglass app on your phone/tablet if you haven't already. It's incredibly useful for typing anything on the console, and for watching game clips, reorganizing your pins, sending/reading messages, or purchasing games and having them auto-download to your xbox at home when you're out.
Just my 2 cents. I hope you're enjoying your new console!
Regarding the headset, if you have the money, I'd suggest the Turtle Beach Ear Force XO Seven.
>I've got a pair myself and it's absolutely the coolest thing I have for my Xbox One. See, the Xbox One will actually send game audio over the wireless controller. This means that you can turn off or mute your sound system and only use the headset for both chat and game audio. It's been incredibly handy for me when I want to play a game, but my wife is asleep. Even better is that I can watch Netflix or YouTube the same way. The adapter it comes with has buttons that allow you to turn down the game audio relative to chat volume as well, so if your game audio is overbearing or you only want to use the headset for chat, you can.
>Now, there is a cheaper version of the XO Seven called the XO Four. It runs about eighty bucks, but it doesn't have a noise cancelling mic. Depending on how loud your sound system is, this may or may not be a big deal for you. Regardless of which one you choose, they both come with the stereo headset adapter so everything you need is included.
>You will probably have to update your controller's firmware before you use it, though. It's easy, and the instructions for doing so are included with the headset. Just make sure you've got a micro USB cable handy.
I'd also suggest the Nyko Charge Base for Xbox One.
> Nothing beats rechargeable batteries. Having a place to keep your controller and charge it is just awesome. I've had mine since the Xbox One was released and I've never once had any issues or even had to bother charging my controller in the middle of a play session. It's great to be able to set the controller in the charging dock when you aren't using it and have a fully-charged battery the next time you use it.
The Media Remote has been a GREAT accessory for me. Not having to turn on my controller when I just want to navigate Netflix is wonderful. The remote itself looks nice and feels great in the hand.
It can even control DVR functions now so it can just about replace my cable remote. I think it's one of the best purchases I've made for the Xbox One, as I use it every day and am always glad I have it.
EDIT: By DVR Functions, I meant FF, RW and Play/Pause.
Just last week I bought a Zalman lapel mic (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zalman-ZM-MIC1-ZMMIC1-Lapel-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ) to use along with my Audio Technica ATH-m50x's. I bought this and a y-splitter to test before paying for a mixamp. I read that depending on the headphones/mic you use you may experience sound quality degradation but that hasn't been the case for me. Everything works great, sounds fantastic and when asking my friends they say the quality from the new mic is superb.
So I would definitely just try the cheaper option with your setup first to see if it works as expected. It may save you some money.
Hey there, I'd definitely recommend Eneloops as well, I've been using them for about 4-5 years now.
I personally use the Panasonic Eneloop Pro's. The higher capacity is nice, you get a bit more mileage which for only a bit more money. The other brand I had in the past, but lost them around the house were Sanyo Eneloop XX. Overall the Panosonics are better as far as price and have bit more juice in them as well.
Pair an 8-pack of batteries with a good charger.
My charger is this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RSOV50/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Might be a bit of overkill, but I like all the smart charge features and options: autoshutoff/discharge/automated discharge then recharge/, it allows though you could easily find something cheaper; just make sure it's compatible with this type of battery.
Just make sure if you're shopping for bargin's on the batteries and you'll find them I'm sure, is that you're buying legit Eneloops. Believe it or not there are plenty of knock-offs or just busted brands that try to cash in.
That is a pretty good monitor too. I use a similar one, but it is the ASUS VG248QE.
http://www.amazon.com/VG248QE-24-inch-LED-lit-Monitor-response/dp/B00B2HH7G0
Pretty much has all of the same features as your BenQ. Either the ASUS is really good or I got really lucky (also a TN panel) because I have two of them set up as dual monitors and I recommended one to a friend, all 3 had excellent colors right out of the box. I have yet to tweak anything on mine.
Found two very quickly for you. Both have solid reviews and are roughly within budget.
This 27inch ASUS monitor is 1080p, 144hz and has a 1ms response time for $279.00. Granted it's a little higher than you wanted but it also comes down to $189 for a 24inch and I believe 40-75hz. 144hz would be great for next-gen too.
This ASUS one is currently $259.99, is 1080p, 144hz and 1ms response time, 24 inches. I have personally see this and it has some great colors. Currently have one in the house.
Both have exceptional reviews (4.4/5 stars with 1000+ reviews).
Like I said, look around and see what deals there are but you can't go wrong with these.
My 4K ASUS monitor is currently available for 299.00 on Amazon, too. 1ms response time and 60hz. I personally love it.
The RB and LB are one part, and that one part is susceptible to breakage. Fortunately it's easy to fix. Buy a part like this and a Torx T8 security screwdriver (a lot of times sellers will include this with the part). There are tons of guides and videos online on how to open the controller and fix this part. It doesn't require a complete disassembly of the controller and is one of the easiest controller repairs for a novice.
[Edit: When you look at the picture of the replacement part, you should see why it's prone to breakage - its the really thin plastic that connects the two bumpers. Funny thing is the original XB1 controllers (with the IR Blaster inside) aren't built this way. They have independent spring assemblies for each bumper, and in my opinion seem better built than what newer controllers have.]
[Edit 2 : also, thanks for the Gold! Normally I have to make some extremely clever comment to get that. It's refreshing, albeit surprising to get it for just sharing knowledge.]
hey guys just wanted to chime in on the QC35's with the Xbox One, I have had tremendous success with this little guy. ADAPTER this product is great quality and i used it in tandem with this SONY lapel mic. I love the combo and im sure you can use any lapel mic, ive heard the popular ZALMAN mic does wonders as well for very cheap. good luck lemme know if this works for you guys.
Any USB 3.0 external hard drive will work.
Here is a 2 TB external for $82 (US)
Keep in mind the faster rpm will read content faster. Solid state would be ideal but is extremely expensive. 7200 rpm is great but still more expensive than standard 5400 rpm models.
Amazon and Newegg are likely the best places to look, good luck!
I am pretty sure mine is a v2. I have not had an issue with firmware updates as mine got an update recently. My version I actually got on Amazon for $80 under used. I have had not one problem with the router. Wish I could say the same with my internet(Spectrum). Lol.
I have never had an issue like yours. I think back in those days they were different chips and when they upgraded a version it wasn't backwards compatible. I think that's fixed now since the Nighthawk series is open source. Open source is great because you can flash your own firmware from myopenrouter.com. Dd-wrt is great I just haven't had a reason to use a secondary firmware as I've had no issues at all.
NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Dual Band Wi-Fi Gigabit Router (R7000) with Open Source Support. Compatible with Amazon Echo/Alexa https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F0DD0I6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_NFXJzbGM6XA88
HyperX Cloud II. I've personally owned the HyperX Cloud 2's for over a year and they're amazing. They're a little over your budget, as the cheapest price I found online was about $100, but they're well worth it. If you search around the subreddit, you'll see these are very popular and highly regarded. You can also look at the HyperX CloudX. These came out after I purchased my Cloud 2's, but these add an additional inline volume and mic mute control to the cable. They appear to the be exactly the same as the Cloud II's in every respect otherwise. I do really miss having an easily accessible mute switch in my Cloud 2's to quickly mute the mic in certain situations. You also get a hardshell carrying case which is nice, my Cloud 2's only came with a cheaper soft shell pouch.
I highly, highly recommend HyperX Pros. They are super comfortable for long gaming sessions (I've had problems with similarly-priced Turtle Beach and MS cans in the past). Also, the faux leather pads feel great. I switched them out for the foam ones a few months back so I can hear my girlfriend when she's in the room. Haha! Also, they're "cooler" for summer weather.
I do have to say, though, you'll probably want to cop a Turtle Beach adapter if you go with Hyper X, which will up the total cost considerably. The Turtle Beach comes with mic. monitoring. I can't even remember if Hyper X monitoring is supported through the Xbox dash. But they don't come with an adapter. I like having the controls right there in my hands versus the dash. And TB mic monitoring is much better.

I would say probably the best all around is the Astro A40 (without the MixAmp). They're a little bit out of your price range, but they're semi-open, so directional sound is a little better (and you can hear yourself talk which is nice).
If you want a really nice set...go find a set of nice open cans, a modmic 4.0, and a y-connector (or something like the Sennheiser G4ME One). It's a hassle but totally worth it if you're a sound junkie
I mean if you can afford it, its fine and all. But like I said, I'm just trying to save your wallet. as I mentioned above
> 24 inches is pretty standard these days 27 is unnecessary.
> Xbox one is limited to 60hz, so a "75hz monitor" is pointless.
I mean if it saves money I'd go with the cheaper and more practical solution, but its your hard earned money so I'm just trying to help a fellow's wallet out.
But honestly if you're planning on buying that monitor, get this monitor here I personally use it myself and its far better. Plus its $30 cheaper and has a higher refresh rate, good for PC and console gaming.
Try looking at some more options before going in for the purchase.
PS: I am sure everyone knows this but Best Buy will price match anything from Amazon as long as it is shipped and sold by Amazon. In which http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Portable-External-Storage-STDR2000100/dp/B00FRHTSK4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1453477588&sr=8-1&keywords=seagate+2tb+external is. It's $89.99 at Best Buy, they will price match. Let me know if this looks like a good drive that hopefully works with Xbox One. I am getting an external because I have Gold and I want to take advantage of downloading the games that come with Gold membership. My hard drive is already 79% full.
I know you specifically said base but I highly recommend changing your entire life over to rechargeable eneloop aa's. You'll save a lot of money in the long run since they last for over 1000 charges. Get a good charger like this La Crosse Technology BC-700 Alpha Power Battery Charger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000RSOV50/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_nmyOub154D833
I hope to god that links. Not sure how to do it on ialien.

anyways thanks, yes I'm pretty sure it 3.0

If you want the best audio quality for the price, the best solution is a pair of good regular headphones and a clip on mic. I recommend the $40 Superlux HD668B, the $10 HIFIMAN Earpads and finally a cheap but decent $8 Zalman Zm-mic 1
This will give you much better sound, on par mic and supreme comfortability compared to any headset.
Don't mind you asking at all!
It's a combination of 3.5 mm aux cables and adapters. My headset set-up also easily works with a ModMic5 (what I now use at work with my 1000XM2 headphones). If you need pictures I can share some links.
Cable management is key so that this doesn't become a crazy mess of wires, but for all the parts in play I set this up very cleanly.
If you want better mic monitoring, higher audio output, and chat/game audio balancing from the Xbox One controller (use just stereo audio, no virtual surround sound) you can add in the Turtle Beach Headset Audio Controller Plus ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PWRYKDE/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_f1J0CbG4W43H4).

As you set this all up I recommend intertwining the cables or using some cable clips like those that come with the ModMic to make it clean.
What's your budget?
I'd get a good set of headphones. Do a bit of research to find the best pair that fits your budget. I own the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250Ohms. I'm happy with it. It's an open back headset so sound will leak in and out. If you prefer more isolation, look into closed back or semi-open.
Get the headset adapter for the Xbox One for $25.49.
Add a clip on mic like this Zalman Zm-Mic1 for $7.56.
Finally, you'll need a 3.5 mm splitter to join the headphones and mic. The thing you want to make sure is that there are three stripes on the plug. If you look at the plug on your typical set of headphones, you'll notice the plug only has two stripes. For the adapter, you have to make sure there are three stripes cause that's what allows you to combine the microphone and headset. Here are a couple of options: 1 and 2.
For my exact set up, you're looking at exactly $183 before taxes. You'll have a much better pair of headphones than what you'd get if you went with a Turtle Beach headset that's in the same price range.
I ended up getting the Sennheiser GAME ONE PC Gaming Headset - White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GWU8FTK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_5HzHxbRHB42DQ and I love them! I previously had the Astro A40 system and these sound much better! I'd like to try the new AT headsets, but can't see them being that much better than these sennhieser cans. The mic is great on the Game Ones too!
Try this one its massive and inexpensive but works great. I have one and another external drive from western digital and both work great but this one has a huge capacity for its price.

If your warranty is expired and the issue is only a broken bumper, I implore you to fix it yourself.
I literally just fixed mine and it took 15 minutes after I had the parts and tools.
Yes, taking it apart voids any warranty, but it's REALLY easy to fix.
Buy this (https://www.amazon.com/XBOX-ONE-Controller-Opening-Kit-Screwdriver/dp/B00PG8SU26) to take apart your controller.
Buy this (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N9KT03G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_9Y8Oyb18NY9R1)

Trust me, it's really really easy and it saves you from buying a new controller.
I recommend hard wiring as others have said, pretty much your best bet. If you are really hard set on using wifi, I'd recommend buying your own router and modem. 1. Saves you money in the long run instead of paying that monthly fee. 2. xfinity routers are okay but I recommend getting an ac router. Here's a top rated router -> http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F0DD0I6?keywords=ac%20router&qid=1453350166&ref_=sr_1_3&s=pc&sr=1-3 as always do your research, hope this helps!
I have two actually, a 7200 rpm 2 TB Touro that they no longer make but I loved:
http://www.touropro.com/en/product/touro-s/index.html
So I bought the 8 TB Gamedrive to add to the 2TB. I absolutely love the Gamedrive. It has two USB on it to charge controllers or plug in keyboards and other accesories:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B072QH2JCL/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
*I'm not sure if the Gamedrive has 5400 or 7200 in it as I've seen two different tear downs of it and one had 5400 and the other had 7200 in it but I have zero problems with running games off of it.
I love the gamedrive.
I've never once heard of DRAMless drives (and I've seen a lot of SSDs) - I really don't think it's a common term you need to be familiar with...
All you need to check are read speeds, write speeds, and most importantly, reviews. The rest of the specs really do not matter in everyday use. Modern SSDs will last a long time, probably longer than you'll ever need - but read reviews to be sure.
I've had no problems with a number of Samsung, SanDisk, and a few Kingston drives - haven't tried any others.
Also just FYI, minimum drive size is 240GB for Xbox. Your dock must also support USB 3.0 (required for Xbox), and ideally UASP. If yours does not meet that requirement, my personal recommendation for SSDs is actually a simple cable - https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-SATA-Drive-Adapter-Cable/dp/B00HJZJI84/ - I bought a bunch of these and they work great, far more convenient than any dock or enclosure, cheaper too.
As for the thumb drive... those typically have slow read speeds and even slower write speeds. Would not normally recommend, but it might work. Depends on the specific drives you have.
HyperX has great headsets. I just got the Stinger the other day and I haven't had any issues. Sound is great and it's really comfortable. It doesn't have as many features as their more expensive headsets like a detachable mic but it works great for the price.

I agree with what most others have said. But I would like to add a side note. Currently amazon has the 500gb GOW Bundle for about $310. So realistically you could save $90, put that in to a 2TB External HDD for $80 and you'll still end up saving $10 and have 3x the storage space. If you don't feel like waiting for Amazon Best Buy and Target will price match.
Cheapest and easiest repair service is yourself. These bumpers are crazy easy to replace. Buy this kit I have linked below. It comes with the bumpers and small security T8 screwdriver, only other thing you'll need is a credit or gift card you don't mind bending to safely pop the handgrip plastic off. You could use a small flathead screwdriver but it'll probably cut the plastic.

I recommend the free Xbox One Smartglass app. They have it for iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

If you don't have a smartphone or tablet, I'd highly recommend the Xbox One Media Remote. I use mine every day and love it.
Here is an Amazon Link:

The way it fits in your hand, the responsiveness of the buttons, the range of operation, the number of different buttons it has, the battery life, the overall look and feel and the quality and it's $14.00 vs $50.00
https://www.amazon.com/Talon-Media-Remote-Control-Blu-ray-Streaming/dp/B01GOK34SO
Honestly, I have both. I had the cheap one for about a year then I "assumed" the $50.00 one was better so when I bought a 1X I bought the more expensive remote. After using it for about a year I went through my drawers until I found the cheap one I was using with my 1S and swapped. Now I am much happier. It's Amazon. Buy both and decide for yourself and return the one you don't want.
Based on what you've said there are a lot of good ideas that I've seen (I'm not reading all 200+ comments) but here are my thoughts while trying to stay in your budget.
This leaves you about $115 (depending on sales tax) in your budget for other games like Rocket League or Beach Buggy Racing or any game that you desire.
And before I get trashed about the External HDD I chose that because with the Vault and Games Pass downloading games directly to your system, you will want a lot of storage so you are not constantly uninstalling and reinstalling games and the system can support up to 2 of those drives at once.
That’s why I don’t play on tv and use a monitor instead.
Am very happy with my ASUS VG245H Gaming Monitor, I got it during a big discount on amazon, it retails at about 200$, I got mine for 120$
I just plugged in my JBL Creature speakers to the audio out 3.5 mm headphone jack and I get all my sound perfectly fine.

Depends on what you're after. If you just need storage and aren't concerned with loading times, go with a hdd. If you want super fast loading times, go with ssd. I personally got this one and it works great for me. And it's USB 3.0 so it's technically a little faster than the internal hard drive. But some people want shorter loading times, so they shell out the cash for a ssd, but the price for the capacity was just too high for me. Plus it has the added bonus of being plug and play, so it's easy to transport if I wanna bring games to a friend's house.
Don't know about the best, but I generally recommend the larger PC drives that have their own power source. The one I have runs silently and without vibration. I have some smaller USB powered drives that vibrate.
We've bought two of these (we have two XB1s) and they work great.

Eneloops are probably the best or the Amazon basics which are the same thing. Those are the best if you just want rechargeable AA batteries.
But... I prefer the Nyko rechargeable battery and charge dock. Just drop your controller on here when your done and never worry about it again. I have this charger and have never run the battery out in a single play session.
Amazon link
Fair enough! I've been using the german version of this thing for a few years now, and while it might be slightly more expensive than the apple thing, it has a shit ton of useful functions and is very reliable. Also look up some eneloop reviews, they basically behave like disposable batteries, i.e. all the advantages thereof, and mine have all been working great since 2011 when I bought them. Worth every penny!
It really depends on your personal preference. Do you play online FPS and need fast response time? If yes, then you'll need a monitor that's around 24-28" with 1ms response. If you're just going to play skyrim, then a 42" would be awesome and can double as a tv for netflix etc.

The HyperX Cloud II that I use is this one with 7.1 USB connectivity for both PC and Mac!:
https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Cloud-Gaming-Headset-PS4/dp/B00SAYCXWG/
Note that the 7.1 only works on PC/Mac.
The licensed Xbox One version of it is this (only difference is it includes the case, has a inline audio controls, but looses 7.1 support PC/MAC)
https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-CloudX-Headset-HX-HSCX-SR-NA/dp/B01HHBYS8E/
This is the latest model, HyperX Cloud Revolver ($120 though)
https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Revolver-Headset-HX-HSCR-BK-NA/dp/B01CIEBU54/
I heard that it has a frame noise issue, but is slightly easier to put on. The great sound is still there, but not better. Personally, I went with the cheaper Cloud II.
I would shop around though as you might find it cheaper elsewhere.
These aren't name brand and you get some top specs with them (should also help when Scarlet comes out and supports higher than 60hz). Any of the monitors bundled in here are great.

Let me know if this are a bit too pricey and I can find you some cheaper options.
I have been using this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RSOV50/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 since 2013 with eneloop and now these Amazons. I recently bought a cheaper charger that is compatible with a lot more batteries the Nitecore D4. Also fine would be Nitecore I4, D4, D2. Any would get the job done in great form. I found Amazon a bit expensive so I bought from http://www.illumn.com/batteries-chargers-and-powerpax-carriers/chargers.html?___store=default&brand=211 based on many great reviews by http://budgetlightforum.com/
This is the best monitor out there for the best value in my opinion: http://www.amazon.com/VG248QE-24-inch-LED-lit-Monitor-response/dp/B00B2HH7G0
>I paid $94 for 2TB, which IMO isn't that bad.
At 2TB you're right thats a good deal. OP was looking at a 4TB though which cost 2.5x more.
Like I said if portability is really important to you it makes sense to get the slower drive with no external power. My drive is never going to move, so I went with more speed & space for $105.
> By the time you spend money on the 2TB HDD as well as a decent USB 3.0 enclosure, you've pretty much spent the same as me.
Actually its $15 dollars less:
http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Expansion-Desktop-External-STBV2000100/dp/B00834SJS0
> but I'm willing to bet it's not that much.
I shave off 20 seconds in Watch Dogs loading with a 7200rpm drive. Doubling the performance increase over a 5400rpm. Sure it's negligible, but it's still 2x the decrease.
5400 rpm is pretty slow. You really want to stick to 7200 rpm, or it will be noticeably slower than the internal hard drive.
Gimme a minute.
http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Expansion-3-5-Inch-External-STBV2000100/dp/B00834SJS0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1426366847&sr=8-2&keywords=2tb+external+hard+drive+7200
If you don't mind plugging it into the wall.
You will notice an increase in speed in load times, so it is pretty cool.
I love my rechargeable AA batteries. I haven't done the extensive testing OP has on life, but I generally swap out batteries once a month or so it feels like, probably 15-20 hours of playtime. This is using the generic Amazon rechargeables.
For anyone using rechargeables, or thinking about it, a critical part is a good charger. I highly recommend La Crosse chargers. They know when your batteries are full and stop putting a full charge into them, which is why batteries start to die (at least in my layman's understanding). The below charger is the one I use, and has served me great for ~4 years; batteries that I got 4 years ago that could hold 2100 mAh still hold about 1900 mAh.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000RSOV50/ref=s9_top_hm_awbw_bAz4IxX_g23_i9?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=mobile-hybrid-11&pf_rd_r=0Y0S02PTT2NKTK4BX89P&pf_rd_t=30901&pf_rd_p=766ea26f-ee7e-5847-8308-2ed606857887&pf_rd_i=10063711011
I'm not sure if there's any way to fix it without disassembly, but I replaced mine not too long ago and it really wasn't difficult. I used this kit off Amazon (there are lots of others that are cheaper, this is just the one I picked because it had good ratings and came with all the different tools) and this video on YouTube and it took about 10 minutes. It works as good as new.
Discontinued? I'm not sure what is giving you that impression.
Don't go with the Panasonic charger. Well, you can. It's not like they're bad or anything. Something like this charger is going to be a nice upgrade. Each battery is individually charged like on the Panasonic. It also has a couple quick charging options.
Go with these and this. I'm sure there are better deals to be found, I just went for the easy links.
EDIT: Sorry, that first link should have been to just the batteries not the pack with the charger. Point is Eneloops and a good charger.
Worst part about this is I'm going to have to buy that 8 TB drive to hold all the games they've given us since GWG has came out.
I really enjoyed Halo 3 when they ported it over. It was such a blast playing with some people who never quit the game and pretty much were friends since they were almost the only ones still playing.
Really took me back to when my friends and I all had the time to hop on Halo 3 after work and play from like 7pm to 11pm a few nights a week.
With that said, Modern Warfare 2 is the only reason I have my 360 still plugged in. I'm not sure if I'm going to sell my 360 when that game gets ported over or sadly box it up and just put it into storage the rest of its life.
Yeah. The Xbox One S has an infared blaster I'm pretty sure. So it should work with pretty much any TV. That's how it controls cable boxes if you use that.
This is the remote I have https://www.amazon.com/Talon-Media-Remote-Control-Blu-ray-Streaming/dp/B01GOK34SO/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_63_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=VTZZ81ZWAAS87B8NV6JP&dpID=315Qbn6Jr8L&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=detail

I've had it for over a year with it constantly plugged in and never had any trouble.

If you’re going smaller than a 32”, I would get a gaming monitor instead and hook some decent speakers up to it. Most TVs are terrible for gaming since the latency on them is ridiculous compared to a decent gaming monitor. I currently use a 24” 1080p ASUS monitor with a 2ms response time and it’s been just great for the last almost 5 years. I am looking to upgrade it to a 4K monitor, but there aren’t that many decently priced 24-27” 4K monitors from decent brands at this point. Maybe sometime soon. Not taking advantage of the 4K on my X...
Edit: if you’re okay with a 1080p, this is a really good one for a good price I used temporarily last year:
ASUS Gaming Monitor
I almost upgraded to it from my current one, but I’m still holding out on a 24” 4K that’s not too expensive.

Note that any gen 2 (controllers with the 3.5mm headphone jack) bumpers will work.
You'll also need the tools to open the controller:

Sorry for the ugly links but these are the two things I bought. Then just find a video online on how to do the replacement, it was super easy.
I've never used them myself, but the HyperX Clouds are very well regarded and retail for under $100.
If you want to spend a little more, the Sennheiser Game Ones are also fantastic for sub $200. I have a pair myself and I couldn't be happier with them.
I did a lot of research before buying the Game Ones and I believe that both of the headsets listed above are better regarded than any of Astro's offerings.
Edit: Just reread your post and noticed that you were looking specifically for wireless :/
This also looks very good. It's price in my country is 328 TRY and equals 85 USD & 47 GBP. I can afford this but I wonder that how is really works fast as other external hard drives special for Xbox One? I read the comments below on this page (because I can't open your link but same product) and they are saying that is working fast. So you're playing games fast? https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Expansion-Portable-External-STEA2000400/dp/B00TKFEE5S
I'm asking this because I'm not good about external hard drives actually.
Thanks.

If you look in the description it says It gives you a code to redeem it. I imagine GameStop will have it printed on the receipt like they do for certain preorder bonuses. I preordered from GameStop as well.
Here you are. It's a 144hz monitor with a 1ms response time as well. So I mean it's really only for PCs with that refresh rate, but that response time would be great for competitive games on the xbox.

If you're using solely for gaming, get the A50s. They are far and beyond above the rest. If you want it for gaming and to take around listening to music away from home, get the QC35s.
Here are the A50s I have for only $119.
Since I got mine they've made an updated version specifically for he Xbox One which run around $299. But the 1st version works perfectly. The ones I have can't connect via bluetooth to my phone to listen to music though. Not sure if they included that in the newest version.
The QC35s are great for music listening or watching movies on a laptop/tablet.
Whatever you do, just don't get the 800x.
Surely has an external storage, like this one

I have one.. its amazing
Because they only got like 10 of them for preorders whereas they get like 40 PS3s (and probably more added in the last few days).
Amazon still hasn't sold out of day one systems after a week and they were out of PS4 launch editions in hours. All that exists for PS4 launch systems is bundles now and even three of those are in the top 10 selling video game stuff on amazon. Side note: The delayed PS4 (non-launch) is outselling the Xbox One by itself.
Again, I don't want to sound like I'm bashing Xbox. All I'm saying here is the PS4 is basically guaranteed to have better launch numbers. That's it.
You really want the best... Sennheiser + Mixamp Pro. I have the PC 350's and they are AMAZING. Senheiser has refreshed versions called "Game One (open ear)", Game Zero (Closed ear).
Pro Tip - DO NOT use Astro's chat cable (total garbage), use Turtle Beaches.
Your luck day http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-GAME-ONE-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00GWU8FTK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1458939918&sr=8-2&keywords=sennheiser+gaming+headset
I have the Seagate Game Hub (8 TB) and it's been great. It has extra USB ports, too:
https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Drive-Storage-Ports-STGG8000400/dp/B072QH2JCL
If that's too much storage, there's a 4 TB version (without the USB ports) that comes with two months of Game Pass:
https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Drive-Storage-Ports-STGG8000400/dp/B072LX7WLP
And a 2 TB version that comes with one month of Game Pass:
https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Drive-Storage-Ports-STGG8000400/dp/B0723CMH14

This for a very good router for a decent price
This if you want to spend a little more and have the best.
Or you can buy one from a trusted company on Amazon for less.
I've had this for about 6 months and love it.
Honestly you can build your own, this way you can get a warranty on a good performance drive and if it fails, just swap it out. Though here are the two options I would recommend:
Option 1 build your own: Buy a 2-4TB WD black gaming HDD (5 year warranty) or a 7200rpm 2-3TB Seagate Barracuda it is much cheaper but has less warranty offerings. I say up to 3TB with the Seagate as its 4TB model is not 7200rpm. Finally buy a USB 3.0 cooling enclosure, I use this one. Though you can find numerous ones all over the internet. With that enclosure you need no tools except a screw driver to open the case, then its simply insert/snap and close, total install time is 1 minute. This is the route I would take for performance and warranty offerings.
Option 2 retail versions: If performance is not an issue then really any drive will do just make sure its over 300GB and USB 3.0. A good cheap retail one is Seagate
IIRC: The Xbox One OG is getting an update (or was already updated?) to support ADM FreeSync, and the One S and One X are going to support FreeSync 2. So I would go with a 1080p freesync monitor, like this. It might even be worth it to shell out the extra ~$80 for the 27" version.
You can't (unless you want to pay way too much), they're discontinued. People have been using this instead. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GOK34SO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Not as durable, but still pretty nice.
As many have said, go with Eneloops. But also get a good charger.
I recommend (I use) the La Cross Technology BC-700 Alpha - It charges 4 at a time, each separately (generally good for improved live time of the batteries vs most chargers that do 2 or 4 on one charge channel, but NECESSARY for charging anything individually or 3 or other odd numbers, such as you might get with rock band instruments ...)
edit: the PowerEx MH-C9000 recommended below by others should do all the same things as the one I linked as well.
edit2: Actually I have the BC-900(9) pack that came with batteries and travel case, the difference being the 900 has higher charge rate options.. but I never use them, so the 700 will work as well. The BC-900(9) appear to be discontinued.
Order this piece (the kit is the best because it includes the screwdriver and the separater). I think this one is for the current model (Elite or non-Elite). If yours is the older version you can search for the appropriate kit.
Then check out this video if you need instruction. I found it very helpful.
Real Headphones > Gaming Headphones
My recommendation Sennheiser HD 598
and Modmic
Best Bang for your buck
The Philips SHP9500 paired with a modmic or zalman clip-on mic is a budget friendly option
these
I ordered the $30 ones for in-store pick up from Best Buy and when i went to pick them up, the girl gave me the these. Didn't realize till I got home. I will say, they are really great but I don't know if I'd pay $100 bucks for them. I would definitely look at HyperX in general though
I just had my Elite controller bumper break, the little piece of plastic inside is so tiny its no wonder they break so often.
since it was out of Warranty I went and bought my own bumpers from Amazon
Took about 20min to take apart and replace while watching a youtube video. Works like a charm now. Microsoft support just told me to buy a new one (Thanks). Doing it myself saved me 140 dollars
Seagate Slim 2TB. Love it! Turns off when system is on standby...VERY IMPORTANT.

This comes with the splitter.
Awesome. Good stuff, gentlemen.
They're around $250. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a powerful PC capable of playing games at a stable 144 fps though.
Not the BEST solution, as it requires some cash, but I picked up a Turtle Beach adapter with mic monitoring and superhuman hearing and it is awesome. $25 on Amazon.
I can't find the turtle beach ear force adapter anywhere to purchase. Can someone provide an amazon link for me? Thanks a lot!
EDIT: Looks like I found it..is this the right one..for $40? https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Headset-Controller-Superhuman-Hearing/dp/B00PWRYKDE/ref=sr_1_8?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1469390457&sr=1-8&keywords=xbox+one+ear+force
Cloud II's can be used on Xbox One however they have their own CloudX Headset which is designed for use with the Xbox and has a inline control for the headset volume and mute.
PS4 allows the use of the USB Sound Card for virtual 7.1 surround that comes with the Cloud II. Xbox cant do that because it dosnt support USB headsets, the headphones connect to the Sound Card via 3.5mm jack so instead of plugging the 3.5mm jack into the sound card you plugthe 3.5mm jack straight into the Xbox controller or chat adapter. Doing it this way all audio for the headset will need to be controlled through the Guide or chat adapter buttons.
The Cloud, Cloud II (without the USB Sound Card) and CloudX headsets are all stereo anyways so you are getting the same stereo sound with all of them. But if you have a PC you will also be able to use USB sound card on the PC for 7.1. So its an added benefit. Not to mention if you have a PS4 or ever buy one the headset is ready to go for that console.
The Cloud I's also use dual 3.5mm which means you will need to use a Y Splitter to connect it to the controller (cant remember if it comes supplied or not), you wont need that with the Cloud II's.
Each has their own benefits but i would pay the extra $20 for the memory foam head band alone.
You alone need to weigh the options and figure if its better to spend the extra $20 and be set to use it for everything with a few added benefits that may or may not help you in the long run. Pay an extra $10 for the CloudX designed for the Xbox or spend the original price for the base models.
Edit: Also from what i understand the Cloud II's mic has Echo and Noise cancelling where as the first gen Cloud's does not.
Spend $10 more and get a NEW one instead.
This one is Seagate though. Not trying to start a whole debate but this is a really good deal. Basically the same as the "official branded green Xbox One game drive" except well this is cheaper and "it comes in black".

I have this one and it works great, highly recommend. I got 2 for my 4 controllers
Does he/she use it with the TV or play a lot of media?
The Media Remote is awesome.
Or how about a Play & Charge kit?
The video I used to learn how to do it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MR6TuCnV0k8
The pieces I used:

Good luck.
Unfortunately with the WD drives, they are soldered to the board so you're unable to open these up and use the drive on the PS4. The perfect one for the PS4 are the Seagate externals, those can be ripped from the enclosure and used on the PS4.
This one will do
incase you were wondering I have this one and the quality is great like I said http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ
I'd also recommend buying the A50s refurbed through Amazon. A friend and I both did this and neither one of us have had issues. Also, since it's through Amazon you get a 30 return window, as well as, the 1 year limited warranty from Astro.
I've got them as well, and love them!
Here's the link.
What I love about the Xbox is that it has a lot of similarities to that of a Windows machine. I am a systems engineer and I believe you have some corrupted system files. The hard drive will have to be completely wiped with the OS reinstalled. This can be easily done from any Windows PC however, you'll require a sata to usb connector in order to connect your Xbox drive to PC. Complete a search on YouTube and you'll find a few tutorials.

im referring to the old netflix app, you where able to pick profiles, pick shows, do everything on netflix with just the kinect. but now you cant, all you can do is play, rewind, and fast forward. and my assumption to why they changed the app was promote the usage of the media remote Microsoft has for the xbox one.
If for some reason your warranty won't cover it, Amazon has replacement bumpers for about $10 and near perfect reviews, not OEM but still very good option

I've been very happy with the Seagate External drives, like this:

I've had mine for about 3 years now, and they're usually priced well. I got the 5tb and am barely at 28% with more games installed than I play.

I use this for my ps4 pro and I love it
muuuuuch better title.
This was number one in the deals and sales thread. I guess it would be a good spec/price to start with!
You know it doesn't really help your question, but as someone planning to buy an xboxonein the next couple of weeks, I just found you can still buy day one edition from amazon. You save 3 cents too! http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CMQTVK0?cache=0e6cc5cded2e1ff272345a4656c7ceee&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1406920344&sr=8-3#ref=mp_s_a_1_3
I'm pretty sure Major Nelson himself recommended a Seagate drive recently.
I think it was this one:

LOL it's new on Amazon for about $150 less than the original price. https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-One-Kinect-Day/dp/B00CMQTVK0
Yes fuck you, you're in your own home why do you care so much? I have the Sennheiser Game Ones and they are one of the most comfortable headsets I've ever had, I even use them for music when I'm chilling at home.
They're still available on Amazon Canada if that helps - although I'd imagine the import duties and shipping would greatly outweigh the benefits of getting it Day One.
https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-One-Media-Remote/dp/B00IAVDPSA
Yes it seems like there's one official on Amazon! I might just get it.
The CloudX which is officially licensed by Microsoft is probably best. I saw it for $85 on Amazon yesterday.
Still $85.99 US

Any and all. I'm using this with these headphone and this mic. Still won't work.
I also have TB's. I'm pretty sure they won't work because the cable is only a 3 conductor cable not 4.
https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Headset-Controller-Superhuman-Hearing/dp/B00PWRYKDE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473211107&sr=8-1&keywords=turtle+beach+xbox+one+chat+adapter
that is the only product i know FOR 10000000% SURE that will allow OMTP or CTIA standard headsets+mics to work on xbox one. even though it's not a "converter" it will allow OMTP devices to function 100% properly. i have never personally known anyone to get a OMTP to CTIA converter to actually work on xbox.
Any external drive should be faster than the internal, whether SSD or not. I'd avoid SSD just because of pricing concerns.
I use two drives - one Seagate and one Western Digital. This is the Seagate one, you can probably find the WD 2 TB one through the 'bought similar' recommendations. They both perform the same.

With IP passthrough from my Uverse gateway to the router. This does not bridge the router, but allows the outside IP to be shared with one other device on the network, which happens to be my router. I suppose you could also use router behind a router setting as well.
I have Xbox One, two 360's and they can all be on at the same time with open NAT.
Most xbox one bundles don't come with kinect! Get him the day one edition that is still available on amazon! He'll think you thought really far in advance for him :)
Here is day one bundle: http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-One-Console-Day-Edition/dp/B00CMQTVK0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407871160&sr=8-1&keywords=xbox+one+day+one
You can also find the titanfall bundle that actually does include the kinect!
These two. I own both and I love both. The hub obviously for home and the small one for when I go to a buddy's place.

Awesome. Also, I managed to see one Seagate HDD that is cheaper than the others. It's [this] (http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Expansion-3-5-Inch-External-STBV2000100/dp/B00834SJS0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1419136931&sr=8-1&keywords=external+seagate+hdd). I can't seem to see the difference, so I don't know if it's reliable. Do you happen to know?

or even cheaper http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-Wireless-Gigabit-Archer-C9/dp/B00PDLRHFW/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1453138078&sr=1-2&keywords=tp+link+archer+c7 both will do great.
To add, to get the open nat you will still need to do a bit of configuration on the router - more or less just simply turning Upnp on.
the PDP Talon has been working wonders for me tbh, it may not be the original but its pretty damn good
That's what I have too since day one, works great!

How come you want a modem/router hybrid? They causes problems. It's best to get a router and modem separate.
Wireless N is the standard for Wifi capable devices. The next Wifi protocol is AC, And AC routers full supports wireless N and b/g ( i have a asus ac66r).
For your budget you can get an AC router, You would be future proofing your network and you won't have to buy a new router in the future. The xbox one supports AC but it's not activated yet.
Top AC routers
Netgear nighthawk $180.099
Asus rt-ac66u $169.99
Nyko Charge Base - Xbox One by Nyko http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FLLFJE0/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_7oCLub1F4W2NH
Get one of these instead. Bonus you now always know where your chargers are because you lay them down on the base when your done playing.
You can get a 2tb external for $70. Far better value. A 4tb usually runs around $100.
I would recommend getting this remote. It makes using the Xbox as a media center a lot easier, plus it has x,y,a,b buttons.
I just purchased this one and will have it tomorrow. http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Expansion-Desktop-External-STBV2000100/dp/B00834SJS0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1409272629&sr=8-2&keywords=seagate+external+hard+drive
I hope it works alright. Anyone have any experience with this HDD or the Seagate brand in general?
Just bought the Seagate 2TB 7200RPM External Drive a few weeks ago and it's working phenomenal.
I also definitely noticed my Apps and Games load faster. Not a huge difference, but you can definitely tell.
I recently upgraded to a 144hz monitor. It was this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00B2HH7G0/ I personally love it for both my Xbox and PC.

https://www.amazon.com/VG248QE-1920x1080-144Hz-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B00B2HH7G0
Apparently this is one of the best gaming monitors out right now. And it's $100 off.
Mine work perfectly. They released a few firmware updates that fixed any issues people were having with in-game/party chat.

Hands down the best I’ve used.
these are the best choices in my opinion:
2TB 5400rpm: http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Backup-Portable-External-STDR2000100/dp/B00FRHTSK4
or
1TB 7200rpm: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145919
Both of these are small compact drives and do not need an external power supply
Good info and presentation.
Curious, why the docking station instead of a USB 3 to SATA III cable?
The best one is the talon remote. PDP Talon Media Remote for Xbox One https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GOK34SO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ehKIzbNRPVXZE
I have this one and i love it.
Been using them for over 2 months now and love them. Have used many other brands and nothing else compares.

For your budget idk if youre going to find anything that good. Although this is higher, this is what i have after doing alot of research. I have several devices connected at once. Honestly i havent had to reboot the router, other than when applying firmware updates. Ive had it for about a year now, also has excellent range. I know its expensive, but you wont need another router for years.

You can still get this one. I’ve had it for years and it’s great.

Guessing you mean hard drive space for more games?
I use a older model of this which has worked great for the past 2 years or so. There's plenty to choose from
This is what I ordered as a replacement. It came with a screwdriver.
This YouTube Tutorial will show you exactly how to fix it. The person who posted the tutorial had the exact same problem as me.
It was a pretty easy fix. Took 15 minutes. If I had to do it again, it would probably take way less time now that I know what I'm doing.
I found this but tbh I haven't gotten them before and didn't look too hard so there might be better prices
I will have to agree with everyone who said Panasonic Eneloops. I also recommend La Crosse BC-700 a decent charger.
Nyko Charge Base
http://www.amazon.com/Nyko-Charge-Base-Xbox-One/dp/B00FLLFJE0
A little more expensive, but it keeps things neat and shows you the charging status of the controller.
Looks like amazon.ca still has them as well
HERE
$0.99 off the list price!
I would say getting PLEX setup would be the number one thing to do if you want to use your Xbox as a media hub. Also get the media remote, it's pretty cheap too.http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-One-Media-Remote/dp/B00IAVDPSA
Bumper replacements do NOT need soldering, that is so wrong. The piece is one long plastic part that pops out easily. These work on the Elite or regular controller w/ 3.5mm jack. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1G6HID
Replacing the sticks also is not soldering, it is replacing the mechanism below it that would. I just opened both kinds of controllers this week and the sticks easily pull off. Literally just turn it upside down and they'll fall off if the faceplate is off.
PDP has the upcoming Talon Media Remote coming that has D-Pad and A, B, X, Y functionality as well as a number of other buttons not available on the OEM remote. It's also a full size remote unlike the OEM remote which can be awkward to hold due to it's smaller size. It'll undoubtedly be IR since there is no point in it not being so and not touting that fact.
Amazon says, October 16th but PDP's web site says December for a release date.

I would not be surprised if we see an OEM revision by the time the Scorpio is released. I have the existing OEM remote and the PDP model looks a lot better.
I use:
The 1TB has lasted for 2 years now, and the 2TB has lasted just over 1 year. They're still going strong.
Agreed, eneloops are where it's at. I have about 40 of them, powering all my remotes, controllers and Rock Band instruments (two guitars, a pro guitar, drums, keyboard, and three wireless microphones = 21 batteries).
Get this charger, or one like it: La Crosse Technology BC-700 Alpha Power Battery Charger by La Crosse http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000RSOV50/
I like the buttons for the chat adapter as well. I use Turtle Beaches adapter with my elite. It has built in mic monitoring and many other features.

$10 fix, comes with the T8 security screwdriver to remove the 5 screws holding the shell together.
The part is just as good as the OEM, although not the same matte silver.

Got this one for mine not too long ago. BUS powered so you don't have to worry about keeping it on all the time (if you worry about that sort of thing). It's small so it will sit right on top or next to your xbone. Great addition to the system.

I got this guy:

Mine was 7200rpm, but in the reviews it seems some unlucky people get a 5400rpm one. Most seem to get the faster speed though... It's definitely faster than the Xbox One's internal HDD.
Not really. The adapter provides superior sound quality.

Edit: I have the Turtle Beach Headset Audio Adapter
Got the Netgear Nighthawk when it was released this past December. I'd have to say that this is the most stable best performing router I have owned. I remember reading somewhere that they developed it for use with Xbox Live but cant find the article.
I've gotten so used to telling my xbox to turn on, go to settings/games/tv/anything, turn off, etc. but speaking loud enough to be heard from all the way across the room can get annoying when I am watching TV in bed.
I use my remote almost religiously at this point since my xbox is almost always on for TV, Netflix, and games of course; but if they added a kinect mic to the remote itself that lets you comfortably speak commands, just like Amazon's FireTV, it would be absolutely perfect... I'm guessing they don't do this because they would make it a much cheaper alternative to the xbox with kinect.
Looks like you already ordered a new pair of cans, but I had this adapter and it worked well: https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Headset-Controller-Superhuman-Hearing/dp/B00PWRYKDE?th=1
If you're looking to spend that much money, the Sennheiser Game One is the absolute best you'll find. I'd recommend not going wireless, but that's just the old school dude in me.
Also. Before I start getting attacked for not saying "Kingston HyperX Cloud /thread", where most people get that recommendation from is thewirecutter.com. Their vote for best where money is no object is the one I mention here.
My current drive, looks like it was $82 not $72. Still not a bad deal for a ton of extra storage.

I highly recommend Sennheiser headphones. The Game One's are at the upper end of your budget, but are worth every penny - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GWU8FTK/ref=psdc_3015405011_t2_B00GWU8FAE
This one on Amazon is like $6 more and is 7200 RPM. I think I'm gonna get it unless someone talks me out of it..
I second this!
And if you are able, get a Turtle Beach Audio Controller. It'll give you the ability to monitor your own voice as you're speaking with the Clouds. A solid combo.
I have A50's and there extremely easy to use with my PC. There also only $200 refurbished.

I have heard really good things about these headphones. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HHBYS8E/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_12?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
I have replaced mine 3 times now. The scariest part is taking off the grips as it feels like you are going to break them.

More like one of these: http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-SATA-Drive-Adapter-Cable/dp/B00HJZJI84/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1415051124&sr=8-1&keywords=sata+to+usb+3+adapter
(USB3, and only uses one port) with one of these:
http://www.amazon.com/Anker%C2%AE-AH400-4-Port-Compact-Built-/dp/B00B7FOQCK/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1415051181&sr=1-4&keywords=usb+3+hub
Because it's also a USB3 hub. Internally, it's probably a USB3 hub with the SATA connector connected to one of the ports.
Plus, the plastic costs quite a bit initially. You'd need to custom mould it and source plastics that are similar to the Xbox One. The thing probably costs the company ~5-10 bucks to make one, plus the setup overhead I talked about.

this is what I upgraded to and it has made a huge difference in watching movies from my Plex Server on XB1 compared to my old outdated router which didn't even get full bars in my 1k sq ft. condo..
I have had zero problems with this router.. easily stream 1080p 4gb movie files and of course my multiplayer gaming experience has been solid.
Checkout http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-wi-fi-router/ for other options though I think the Nighthawk R7000 is better if you can swing it.
Just incase you ever need an external, bookmark this drive! I highly recommend it.
Your Linksys E1500 doesn't support more than 1 Xbox without NAT issues.
You may be able to get it to work by using DD-WRT but if you don't flash the correct firmware it'll brick your Linksys.
I would recommend the Netgear NightHawk R7000 if you can't get DD-WRT working.

That one is a favorite of mine. It's small and doesn't need to be plugged into the wall.
I got this https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Backup-Portable-External-STDR2000100/dp/B00FRHTSK4 price-matched at bestbuy because I couldn't install half the games and demos I wanted haha
I have this one

It worked well for a couple months, and then stopped working. I emailed their support and they sent me a shipping label to ship it back to them. 3 days after they received it, i got a new one at my door.
