My favorite shade of yellow is very close to the Peeps marshmallow candies they have at Easter. Just a hair lighter than that shade, though. If you want a representation of the exact shade that is NOT manmade, look at the center of the pink evening primrose.
In the things I buy, I try to aim for a pastel to slightly medium yellow. I dislike yellow that is too golden, too mustard-y, or too orange. Not super long ago I bought myself this bathroom trash can and it's about as far toward "golden yellow" as I'd want to go.
The summer I turned 4, I picked yellow for the color to paint my bedroom, so it's been my favorite color since I was 3. I'll be 31 in a few months, and still going strong! I've never wavered once, so there's no merit when people tease me and say that I'll have "too many" yellow things someday, or ask me what I'll do when I get "sick of" yellow! :D
