Nah I have just been doing this for 3 years at con's.

The last 2 years I have been shipping 50+ ami's off to NY for a gallary event that runs Dec-March. Its best to know your audience and since you go to these conventions you should have a good idea of what they want.

Get a good display for the ami's. The popular choice around here is grid tri fold display and paper clips are used like hooks you can just make a thread loop to pop them off/on. This is so you can display a wall of ami's with out taking up table space and it folds flat for travel --tip-- zip tie them together flat so you can change up the display triangle fold, room divider zig zag, science fair display style. I tend to make sure people know I have more in the back so they dont have to remove the one on display unless its my last so I dont have to keep refilling it.

I replied to another comment on here but here's a few more ideas:
This thing is cute and kind of compact. Not sure if big enough for all of them though.
This one has 41 spaces and this one has 48. Need more than that? Get that plus this super cute circular one with 28 holes.
And the mother of all lipstick holders....72 Holes. Kinda big at 10"x6" but if you've got room for it, this seems like it could work!

I ordered these https://www.amazon.com/Econoco-Tempered-Glass-Shelves-Pack/dp/B00TH3RKIQ for $20 from Amazon warehouse deals. But when they arrived 3 of the 5 were completely smashed. Looks like they were a return that had not been repacked properly. Since I just had a box with 50lbs of broken glass I could not ship it back. So Amazon gave me a no return refund. So then I ordered another set of 5 at regular price which arrived well packaged. So that's how I ended up with 7. They are great shelves for the price, highly recommend them.

For the brackets I ordered K163-1 from https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32885353478.html. Originally I was just using 3 of these per shelf. But the brackets are not strong enough on their own. Two of them snapped when I put the shuttle and death star on it, a scary moment! Also I live in San Jose CA so was worried about earthquakes. So I ended up replacing the center bracket on each shelf with a large regular shelf bracket from the local hardware store. The combination provides a very stable solution and I think doesn't look too bad.

Regarding earthquakes, I'm using a combination of QuakeHold putty and fishing line tied from the brackets to the Lego to hopefully get me through most minor to medium tremors. But I think I'll be fubar'd if the big one hits!

Econoco Commercial Grid Panels, 2' Width x 4'Height, Black (Pack of 3) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TH3RL6W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_GmJJyb8G55DXB

Along with the recommended hooks, brackets and connectors. I got the 8in hooks to make sure they held the wider guns.

It's rare for me to keep things in the box but on the occasion I use these they work really well. Just stick one on then thumb tack it to the wall.

Any pegboard shelf should work. You could go for the invisible look. Or go for black and use some cool Nintendo decals.

I use 3/8" wooden dowels cut about 6" long. Then affix the minis to the dowel with museum wax or blue tack. If it's a slot base mini, I've cut slots in the end of some of my dowels to hold them. The to store them while in progress I've got a round rack. Alternately you can drill a couple rows of 1/4" holes in a 2x4 to make a rack.

Should have elaborated more-- apologies! Got the glass shelving here and it worked great. https://www.storesupply.com/c-894-glass-shelves.aspx I got the 10" clear and it's 3/8 inch I think. By far the easiest mounting option is getting a bunch of slatwall rails a la https://www.amazon.com/Hold-Up-Displays-Hardwood-Slatwall/dp/B00SE7IQMU?ie=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0 and put in brackets there https://www.storesupply.com/pc-12493-718-10-metal-shelf-brackets-for-slot-standards-50136.aspx, but I am a cheapskate and instead opted to screw planks of mahogony http://m.homedepot.com/p/Mahogany-Board-Common-3-4-in-x-3-1-2-in-x-R-L-Actual-0-75-in-x-3-5-in-x-R-L-321898/202585721 into the studs and bracket with cheap ones from eBay http://m.ebay.com/itm/151507179702. This is probably less sturdy, and in retrospect the wrong decision.

Are you talking about pegboard containers? That's what I remember Radioshack having last time I went into one about 15 years ago. Here's one with drawers.

I think most hardware stores sell them for carpenters, etc. to use to organize nails, screws, and stuff. Should be wherever they sell pegboard.
