If you don't want to go through the trouble of hacking one, it looks like these ones are really cheap and would just be plug-and-play. They may not be official though so I can't vouch for it (though reviews are good).
is it a Western Digital hard drive? If so, crack the case open and find the exact model number and do a google search to see if it can be flashed to work as an Xbox 360 internal drive.
If it's not a WD drive, you are out of luck.
As for RB, I have over 300 songs, and they all fit quite easily on a 16GB drive, with plenty of room to spare. Also note that while you can only have two USB drives recognized at any one time, you can make as many as you like. so you could have a USB drive just for Rock Band games, one just for Borderlands, one for Mass Effect, etc.
You should also note there are a few games that have features which require an actual internal hard drive. And original Xbox games also require an internal hard drive. so for those, you need to a spindle-based drive installed. on the plus side, knock-offs are fairly cheap:
Here are some 320 GB Hard Drives that will only cost you around 50 bucks. They work just as well as the Microsoft proprietary hard drives as far as I can tell (got mine around three months ago) and they cost less then half the price too:
I bought this one from Amazon about a month ago. The disc tray works fine. I have the 360 E, though, not the Slim.
I suspect the bit about the "CD Driver" not functioning is just a poor translation. I think the listing is trying to say that, with a larger HDD you can install the came directly to the HDD, rather than needing to run it off the disk. Hence, less noise and cooler.
Hey don't buy that hard drive the other guy linked you to. It's an official MS disk so its way overpriced. I too bought the 4 GB 360-E console and added this disk. It's a knock-off but its half the price for 50% more space. It works great in my console and even reports as an official MS disk so there's no issues with compatibility. Now I've got a 320 gig disk, the built-in 4 gig disk, pplus two USB ports for a future 64 gigs of expansion capability.
Amazon. I got my 350 GB hdd for like $40.
I believe a laptop hdd works as well. The Xbox will format the drive for you.

You can get larger generic hard drives for cheaper. This brand for example has a 120 gig hard drive for $28.
I think it's worth it. I play on Xbox and other than the textures taking a few seconds to load properly in cut scenes I have practically no graphical issues. The other bugs I've experienced are not platform specific.
I am thinking about this:

I would appreciate any advice guys. Thanks as always.
Destiny's a much bigger game than it seems. By the time you download all the patches (expect this to take about a day, depending on internet speeds), Destiny would take up a flash drive all by itself.
I bought this drive back in September, and it's been more than worth it, just so I no longer have to delete my games every time I get a new one.
Yeah. Like I said, I have the 320 GB version and it works great.
Its not the giant one that comes on the older models...its basically a laptop harddrive.

It's only $45 online
Xbox one is just $350 right now.
Official MS branded hard drives are overpriced but you can get third party hard drives for the Xbox 360 that barely cost more than an equivalent bare drive.
yeah, that's your problem. You need an Xbox 360 hard drive. What you have is a flash drive. You need the one that attaches to the side of your console. It depends on which model you have. This is for the Xbox 360 S (or slim) console: http://www.amazon.com/320GB-Hard-Drive-Internal-Black/dp/B008FHL56S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397961698&sr=8-1&keywords=xbox+360+hdd

No, this one will.

Go on Amazon, buy a 320G hard drive for it, 360 Slim will be about $45, older 360 will be about $55.

So like this one wouldn't work?
You're welcome!
