CRPG will help with timing and tactics, although the speed of combat may be different than in NW. It uses your browser to keep track of your stats and items... at least it did back when I played.

Honestly, the best upgrade for me was buying a mouse surface. I had a crappy old mousepad and my mouse couldn't move that quickly on it, and now I have one of these http://www.amazon.com/3M-Precise-Optical-Mousing-MP200PS/dp/B0017D5Z40/

I could help you with melee before one of the battles.

Amazon consider it cost-inhibitive to offer for sale on its own, apparently.

You could try searching again for the same item sold by an individual seller and not directly from Amazon itself, or find a similar item that isn't offered as an add-on.

Edit: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/ol/B0017D5Z40/ref=mw_dp_olp?ie=UTF8&condition=new I did it for you.

If you really like that pad, you could "resurface" it with a 3M Precise Optical Mousing surface. They're really thin and they have an adhesive backing (not permanent adhesive; it may or may not stick well to a fabric surface. It sticks great to wood and glass for me, though). So you could just stick it on and trim it to fit the shape of your favored pad. Best of both worlds?

I just cleaned my kitchen, which makes me super happy--it was disgusting, and now it's sparkling clean!!!

If I win, could I have this? I want to give it to my best friend!! He's broke and in law school, and it would make me super happy to give him something :)

Cyborg (MadKatz) R.A.T. 7 set to 3000 DPI. Nice and modular, with weights that you can remove or add to get the feel that you're looking for. I had problems tracking on a dark surface, so went with a Shiny silver one and never looked back.

Edit: I'm also using a Mechanical Keyboard, 27" monitor and bitching office chair. Fucking around level: 0.

Adhesive mousemat possibly? Googling that gives pictures of the Razer Sphex, and also this thing which seems similar.

This one I use at work and it is fantastic 3M Precise Mouse Pad with Repositionable Adhesive Backing, Battery Saving Design, 8.5 in x 7 in (MP200PS) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0017D5Z40/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_s9NkybS1G6R72

I'm cheap and not as concerned about aesthetics, so I just have one of these:

I got a 5-pack for $20 at some point a while ago. Works just fine for me

Thanks for the responses. Would have gone Steelseries QCK min but wanted something even thinner. Found a super cheap 3m "adhesive" mousepad that sticks to your laptop lid.

If you have a mouse pad that you are dead set on, then please ignore, but I switched to one of these, and I feel it is superior to all of the foam mouse pads running around. I'm not a hard-core gamer though…

This would remove the need to inset it.

Things I really liked for my desk: legs with casters, a foot rest, a sit-stand option for when I want to work.. a trash bin?

u/NecroJoe · 1 pointr/Workspaces

There are mousepads like that: https://www.amazon.com/3M-Precise-Repositionable-Adhesive-MP200PS/dp/B0017D5Z40

I think that's about as thin as you're going to get, without going with an adhesive film of some sort.

>playing on a glossy/ smooth wood desk

shiny or glossy surfaces could cause an issue, have you tried a mouse pad or other surface, it is good to have a surface that has bits/stripes of dark and light to get a good interference pattern

I use one of these 3M mouse pads that have a good pattern(works well with optical/laser) and is super smooth which helps accuracy https://www.amazon.com/3M-Precise-Repositionable-Adhesive-MP200PS-x/dp/B0017D5Z40

If thats your jam you can use a mouse pad like this one

https://www.amazon.com/3M-Precise-Repositionable-Adhesive-MP200PS-x/dp/B0017D5Z40

u/srsbsnsman · 1 pointr/techsupport

How rough is your desk? Try using your mouse without the pad to see if it works properly.

The new mouse pad is obviously a problem, so you're going to need to replace it with something.

this mouse pad claims to be specifically for laser mice. The reviews are pretty positive too.

if you don't want to buy a new mousepad, you could just lay a piece of paper over it or your desk, or you could use cloth if you want something more comfortable.

I use the 3M Precision Mousing Surface. It's not particularly large, which I like because I'm a little cramped for space. It's about the thickness of a credit card, but flexible. The top is ridged in a way that makes my R.A.T. 3 just glide over it super smoothly. Never had any issues with it losing tracking or anything, and I can't speak for how well it extends mouse battery life as I can't stand gaming with a heavy wireless mouse.

As for speakers, I don't know if I can really help you since I use a pair of Bowers & Wilkins DM602 bookshelf speakers and a Lepai 20w amplifier. Those speakers might be a bit out of your price range, but I totally recommend going the outboard amp + bookshelf speaker route if you have the room and want really good sound.

Not sure if the link will work as I'm on mobile but I've always ended up going back to this one from 3M. Going to have to see if I can get a larger size one from them when I finally make the switch to lower sensitivity for infantry play.

It's a standard size (not gamer) pad without the annoying foam backing. It has an adhesive backing so you can stick it to the glass where you want and it won't move (although it has a spot where you can peel it off from if you want to move it).

Sorry about that, it was a busy day, but here is the link!

I mainly have experience with 2 mice, a Logitech g602 (everyday, used and nearby locations) , and a small Logitech MX Anywhere 2 (when I have to travel further and need to pack smart)
