Reddit mentions of 600ml Glass Beaker Mug with Pouring Spout - Dual Scale

I work in an office with multiple kitchens, Keurigs, and some other "high end" automated brewer that actually grinds beans for each cup. And I still brew with my own small rig, so...

1. You can be pretentious about it, or you can not, but I think you'll always get attention for overt autonomy. At my current job, this takes the form of honest curiosity and polite questions. But I have had other jobs where I wouldn't have brewed there, because I didn't trust others not to be assholes about it (but then, I didn't work there any longer than I had to).
   
   
2. I brew at the office with a Hario Slim hand grinder and a Clever Dripper. I opted not to buy a kettle, but for now have been using the hot water from the automated brewer (intended for tea drinkers) and this borosilicate beaker to pour (and it's working great)... I got lucky with the water temp.
   
   When people do inquire, I usually respond with an attitude of "yeah, it's silly, but it's what I'm in to." I find that that downplays any "judgy" aspect, and lumps it in with any old hobby. Sometimes I'll say stuff like "some people put their attention toward their football team stats, I put mine on where little brown beans come from." If you can get people to realize that by caring about the coffee you drink, you are not saying they should care about the coffee they drink, it disarms the conversation pretty well.
