> weird west...non-human lead...half-orc
By all that is unholy YOU HAVE SUMMONED ME!
I wrote a sixguns and sorcery/weird west book with a full-blooded orc in the lead. He's big, he's green, he has tusks, he hunts demons with a big damn gun. http://amzn.com/0996340904
Now as for other recommendations, for non-white, look up sword and soul books. It's sword and sorcery but focused on heroes and tales inspired by or directly from the many myths found in Africa. Tryin to think of some more but I'm trying to expand my own recommendation circles as well.
Ashe Armstrong's A Demon in the Desert has an Orc protagonist. As does Stan Nicholls' Orcs, Mary Gentle's Grunts, and Ari Marmell's The Goblin Corps. Also, there are a number of short stories by the likes of Tom Doolan and Charles Gramlich that feature Orcish main characters . . .
If you want more orcs you should also check out Ashe Armstrong's Grimluk. Weird western orc gunslinger hunting demons. Great, pulpy fun.
