Hello,
I would recommend Acer Aspire F 15. It comes with 15.6" full HD display, Intel Core i5 7th generation CPU, 128GB SSD and 12GB RAM. The screen is vivid, but not too overly bright.

Found an example on Amazon and it will run Rust which is your most intensive game. I would recommend 8GB over 12GB RAM just to keep the cost down, but other than that this is what your looking at. This laptop is US $700

In that budget, in terms of battery life, nothing will really beat this Aspire e15.. Be sure to go with this configuration; It comes with the GTX 950M with 4GB of GDDR5 graphics card instead of the regular gt 940mx , more RAM (12 GB) and instead of a 256 GB SSD as the only storage, it comes with a 128 GB SSD plus a large 1 TB Hard drive.

That's not bad. You will likely have to turn down some settings on games to get good performance, but if you don't have an issue with that, you're okay.

The only thing I'd worry about is filling up that SSD quickly. 256GB doesn't go as far as you might think it does (especially with game sizes getting bigger).

If you can swing the extra cost, I might go for this or this instead.

If you like The---Technician list then I would recommend that you check out my reddit post about best laptops to buy for college and gaming you will love it even more :)

and out of the 3 you mentioned I would recommend this one much better battery life which is something will be useful for a college laptop, and it offers great value for money.

For the higher end, I would definitely recommend this guy, very good bang for the buck, at least when just looking at ingame performance.

In fact, I think I might actually buy that one..

EDIT: The ones you linked aren't that good to be honest, another one I would suggest is this one.
