If you can push your budget 50$ then this could be an option: Acer Aspire E5-576G - it should be more than enough for Rocket League. It has a quad-core processor, MX150, Full HD LED IPS display with decent color coverage, SSD and room for an HDD, 2 memory slots, over 6H battery life, decent peripheral port selection, and a comfortable keyboard and trackpad.

If you don't like this one, then I'd recommend getting a refurbished/second-hand gaming laptop - something like this: Nitro - for 556$.

There aren't many AMD gaming laptops out there sadly, but this is at least one of them. AMD has open source drivers, and in general works better than Nvidia for Linux OP.

Acer Nitro 5 Ryzen 2500U and RX560.

Performance comparable to i5 8250U and Nvidia 1050 which is the most powerful laptop I can find in this price range. This stuff goes for cheaper at times too so do check around a few sites for deals if any.

That one costs 100 more and has a dedocated GPU and has a decent CPU. Its a renewed machine. Probably returned or was used to be displayed in a store. If it has any malfunctions you can always return it for full price. The machine should work perfectly and its a big improvement over the one you showed.

Only downside is it does NOT include an ssd

If you can put 30usd more you can get even thia machine that is way better and has an ssd

I mean anything with a 1050 or more should be fine even integrated graphics on the new ryzen laptops is good enough
