I'd get an IPS monitor like this instead https://www.amazon.com/Acer-SB220Q-Ultra-Thin-Frame-Monitor/dp/B07CVL2D2S/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=ips+monitor+21.5&qid=1556300009&s=electronics&sr=1-4

24" IPS Freesync 75hz monitors have been around this price too.

u/EddyScanlan · 34 pointsr/buildapcsales

This is not it. If you want the same monitor with an IPS panel for $4 more and Amazon customer support (Newegg's dead pixel policy sucks), then this is what you want:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JF8DQZJ/

Also, I own this monitor (IPS version) and I've had a great experience - my only complaint is the thick bezels.

EDIT: This monitor is on Google Express too if you want to use a 20% off coupon.

I haven't personally tried this other Acer monitor, but it's one I'm eyeing for the same price and feature set but thinner bezels:

Got a new monitor that's 1080p and 75Hz for $89 on Amazon: Acer SB220Q bi 21.5" Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS Ultra-Thin Zero Frame Monitor.

The color is incredible since it's an IPS display, and for me it's a perfect screen size, since it's not too big or small, and since I personally can't tell the difference in this size between 4K and 1080p.

The base is a little larger than I'd like, but it's not wobbly and there is a universal mount on the back if you prefer to use your own custom stand.

u/Dravarden · 13 pointsr/apexlegends

just look for low ms and either IPS if you care about colors or viewing angles or TN if you don't

edit: this one from acer is 1080p, for pc use it can reach 75hz and supports AMD freesync, it's IPS and 4ms response time (anything 5 or under is good enough for gaming) for only 90 bucks

u/zjm7891 · 8 pointsr/ucf

I think you're pricing too high with the $70 each. For $50 more you can get the 27" version of the monitors new.

You can also find an extremely similar model brand new for $90, with a better refresh rate and response time. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CVL2D2S/ref=psdc_1292115011_t1_B00TR0576Q

If they're on a budget OP can get a 75hz 1080p monitor for $90 plus tax right now on amazon.

At least OP's frames must be pretty good though if they're playing on 720p all the time.

To save on money I'd definitely go with something like this; the AMD processor shown here has a Radeon Vega 8 integrated GPU so you don't need a dedicated graphics card until (if) you decide to upgrade.

If you take u/x3lr4's advice and upgrade to a gen 3 Ryzen, know you will most likely have to update the BIOS of the motherboard before it will work. It isn't really difficult, but you should be aware that will be a thing to do before you swap it out.

Another way to save a bit of money is to go with 8GB ram instead of 16. It's true that the GPU/CPU will be sharing the system memory with an integrated chip, but the graphics will be more limiting than the RAM.

There's a pretty decent inexpensive monitor from Acer here. Only $89 and still 2k. It has HDMI but no display port. Still though, its good enough for a Vega 8 machine. With these two changes to the above list, you'd save $100 from switching monitors and ~$40 from dropping to 8GB ram. You'd be pushing costs out to when you upgrade rather than when you are loading in, but it would be worth it.

A Ryzen 5 2400G has an integrated Vega 11 GPU; this benchmarks much better than the Vega 8 (they are almost if not completely identical hardware, but the 11 has all the features "turned on") and would cost you ~$40 more. If you drop to 8GB ram, I'd say the money would be used better here. You get a better CPU and better graphics, without having to spend the money on a separate card. This still benchmarks worse than the RX570 suggested in another post, but a dedicated card will always be better. This processor still would give you ~78FPS in CS:GO and ~89FPS in LoL. If you want a build with a dedicated graphics card, its hard to beat u/Pillclinton710's list.

u/ryguy867 · 2 pointsr/buildapc

This seems like a good budget monitor from the reviews. It has 75hz, an ips panel, and free sync (and trust me, you would want free sync or gsync)
Edit: it doesn’t have built in speakers, but there are many good cheap headphones on amazon

u/Splongus · 2 pointsr/buildapcforme

i noticed you listed your budget in USD but you live in spain... so i went with the USD estimate here. i made a reply down below with some adjusted parts and prices for your region. i hope they're correct but i'm not certain

  • this cpu has very balanced and decent multithread performance and the single thread performance is very good, both of which are used in music production. games tend to favor single thread performance over multi but both hit the right mark here. intel cpu's play along well with hackintosh, unlike ryzen. this cpu includes a fan and paste, unlike something like the 8600k, which makes it a better deal for this build
  • 16GB is enough RAM to work on very large projects in your DAW
  • the rx 570 can play far cry 5 on ultra at 50-70fps for a good example
  • i went with an extra 500GB HDD since you said you have one already and 1TB HDD space is usually good. stuck in a 500GB SSD also. you did say you wanted 2 SSDs for each windows and hackintosh, but you can partition this into 2x 250GB if that works for you.

i couldn't include monitor in the budget nor could i find a decently priced white bezel monitor, but this one is not bad: https://www.amazon.com/Acer-SB220Q-Ultra-Thin-Frame-Monitor/dp/B07CVL2D2S

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZYHZ6R6/?tag=pcpapi-20. I recommend getting a 144hz monitor, they are really that much better than 60hz and the 2070 will be able to play all games at 144fps. If that's too much, then get this 75hz monitor: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CVL2D2S/?tag=pcpapi-20.

Why are you looking for a new 144hz monitor in the first place? Yours is just fine, unless you really want 2 monitors. In that case, I would point you to a cheaper 75hz unit. Trust me, the money you would have saved would be worth more than the features you gain, which you'll forget about in a couple of days.

I would point you to this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CVL2D2S/?tag=pcpapi-20

Also, if your set on a 1440p panel, it wouldn't be worth it if you value frame rate more, as a GTX 1080 would struggle at 1440p144hz at medium-high setting in current titles.

u/CraftedPixelReddit · 1 pointr/buildmeapc

I did my absolute best to fit within the budget and came up with this. This will use the integrated Vega 11 graphics in the 2400G which should be good for most games at low - medium. If you are looking for a future upgrade then get a RX 570 used for 100$ on ebay.

There are literally no reviews on 60hz 1080p monitors from professional sites as they are all pretty much the same all kinda shitty. I would just say grab any Freesync 1080p Display for $100 and it will perform the same in a console environment.

Something like this, its actually 75hz but I don't know if Xbox even supports 75hz or just locks to 60.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CVL2D2S

___

If you want like a 120hz+ I would say get the MSI Mag24 (not the mag27) its a curve VA (so you will see enemies easier) with fast response times and low input lag.

I will also state that using a Freesync 120hz+ monitor even in games limited to 60hz is still an advantage in input lag.

Something like this should be good. Basically any desktop PC with a GTX 1660 ti graphics card should be good. Other good graphics cards are a GTX 1070, GTX 1070 ti, GTX 1080, GTX 1080 ti, RTX 2060, RTX 2070. For a bit less money that is ok but not great, there's the GTX 1660 or the GTX 1060 6GB. All of those graphics cards should have the DisplayPort built right in.

You'll also need a monitor or just use your TV. Here's a cheap monitor and here's a cheap 27 inch monitor. Many PCs come bundled with a mouse and keyboard, but if they don't here's a cheap red dragon mouse/keyboard. If you want a nicer mouse or keyboard, anything by logitech is fantastic.

oh yeah, you've probably also already heard of it, but there is also the Oculus Quest headset. It doesn't have as many games and doesn't have as good of graphics, but it's totally wireless and doesn't require a PC at all.

Get a Used PC for 500$

And spend the rest of ur money on a monitor like this one (note that this monitor is quite small but 75hz IPS)

I've heard good things about this as a budget monitor: https://www.amazon.com/Acer-SB220Q-Ultra-Thin-Frame-Monitor/dp/B07CVL2D2S

But what's best for you depends on a lot of factors, including what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at.

u/ak74907 · 1 pointr/buildapc

I'm really shooting for best bang for buck. I work hard I want my dollars to too. 144 frames a second seems really overkill to me. Back in Nam a grunt only needed 60 fps to kill Charlie. Does it really make that big of a difference? I play shoot em up bang bangs sometimes, but really my thing is MMOs (I had a year played in Vanilla before TBC launched). Also am I building at a bad time? I guess AMD is launching another chip soon? Sorry for my randomness.

Two of these?

First of all, you could check by downloading HWMonitor64. Second of all, I recommend you upgrade your PC parts and just buy a cheap $100 monitor:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CVL2D2S/ - A $300 monitor won’t do you any good if your PC can’t even run that fast.

u/Dylan014able · 1 pointr/buildapcforme

If you can afford it, I'd greatly recommend you spend the extra $30 - $40 and get an extra 8 gb of ram. Also, get a monitor if you can. Even a cheap 1080p one will be better than a tv lol. https://www.amazon.com/Acer-SB220Q-Ultra-Thin-Frame-Monitor/dp/B07CVL2D2S/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=1080p+monitor&qid=1557094474&s=gateway&sr=8-3 This is $90.00

This Acer is about exactly what your looking for, except your not really gonna find a 1ms response time at this price range at all :)

u/maxxxl · 1 pointr/buildapc

Just bought this Monitor from Amazon as a secondary monitor for things like music/Social Media, so I don't constantly have to Alt+Tab between games and whatever else I'm doing. Anyone else have this one? thought on it? I've read reviews on Amazon both positive and negative, but looking for second thoughts/opinions about it

u/Nazthatguy · 1 pointr/buildapc

That is an awful deal for the 60hz monitor. Go with this monitor as your secondary. Next, drop the cpu cooler as the stock cooler is fine. Next, I got you a MB that has integrated WiFi and saved you $30. Now you could keep the savings or upgrade to a 2080.

u/MyNameIsNebula · 1 pointr/Monitors

It's a solid option, 1080p, IPS, and 7ms latency.

This acer is cheaper and also 21.5, IPS, 1080p, and 4ms latency. It says it has freesync as well.

u/mrreal71 · 1 pointr/buildmeapc

Will the RX 590 be compatible in price?
And did you mean this freesync monitor? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CVL2D2S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_wTj7BbGEEME1R

u/TetraLog · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

This acer monitor seems really good for the price, 75hz, 4ms delay and Freesync. I have no experience or knowledge about the color accuracy or other details. For 90 bucks it looks really modern and has good reviews.

Alternatively this hp monitor is literally the best selling monitor on Amazon. LinusTechTips did a review a while back.

At this price point you won’t get fancy things like height adjustment or screen rotation.

best budget monitor?

Option 1 ($89)

Option 2 ($99)

u/Vraja108 · 1 pointr/Monitors

This is what I use: Acer SB220Q.

It's worked great for me, highly reviewed, and very cheap.

u/Caribou_goo · 1 pointr/buildapc

By casual do you mean 1080p60hz? Here's an ips, freesync, with 75hz refresh rate for $90

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CVL2D2S/

u/PatientlyDead · 1 pointr/PS4

I got this monitor on Amazon. It’s an Acer 1080p60 21.5”and looks smooth and vivid with my slim. Has an anti-glare finish so you dont have to close your blinds in the room like I do:( Ultra this bezel and has HDMI and VGA ports and you can switch inputs if you need to. I actually really love it and have been using it throughout college.

Only con is that it doesn’t have speakers so there’s no audio output directly from the monitor itself, and I still haven’t found a way to connect speakers to it yet.

u/void_nemesis · 1 pointr/Monitors

Might as well go for this one. It's 90 USD, 75Hz, and looks really nice. The only issue it has, imo, is that it doesn't have the best colour space - only about 75-80% sRGB, which is why it's not my instant first pick for a monitor.

u/ayecryptic · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Agreed. A 22 IPS can be had for 90.
Acer SB220Q

u/uradonkey003 · 1 pointr/buildapc
  1. Check this out I think if you are aiming for high-ultra quality graphics settings, then go for this monitor.

If you are going for Medium or just want all the frames you can even with Low quality, then get this.

  2. EVGA has pretty good warranties but corsair also makes good PSUs, I would go EVGA, but look up reviews for the model beforehand is it B-stock?

You can look into either

Hi!

I have a Lenovo T480S and a MacBook Pro Touch Bar 2018 version.

I don’t have any monitors yet and am willing to take any recommendations. I was thinking of getting this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CVL2D2S?pldnSite=1

But I don’t know much about monitors. I just do a ton of emailing and financial modeling all day. So many outlook and excel.

Thank you in advance for any guidance!!

Seems about right for CS:GO 120-200FPS

Siege should also be around 100 FPS, and a better CPU would help you get another 40 FPS or so.

If turning down your graphics has a significant impact on graphics, it's not the CPU's fault. Why do you need to have over 200 FPS? What is your monitors refresh rate? CS GO only uses 4 core/4 threads. Getting a 6 core/12 thread CPU will not help you in that game. Increased clock speed on those 4 cores will. The 3600 does have higher clocks, and 15% improved performance at the same clocks compared to yours. The 2600x, or even 2700x would not help you much. Maybe 10% maximum in CS GO.

There are games that will be very CPU intensive like the new Assassins Creed shown in this video (the Ryzen 1200 is on par with your CPU so look at that). But that game is just a massive CPU hog because of that all anti piracy "Denuvo" crap running in the background.

Maybe the reason for you feel lag is because you have Vsync on, and not a freesync enabled monitor? Or maybe freesync is disabled for some reason even though your monitor is capable.

If that is the case I would do a few things:

Get a cheap Freesync 75hz or higher refresh rate monitor. It'll look way smoother.

Overclock your CPU to 3.8 GHz using around 1.32v. Takes like 5 minutes if you havea b350 or b450 motherboard.

Overclock your memory to 3000MHz. If you only have 1 stick of memory, get a 2nd stick of the exact same brand, and model number. This could boost your performance a lot. A lot of people buy 3000mhz RAM, and don't bother to turn on the XMP profile of the RAM and just run at 2133. Having a single stick of RAM is also generally bad. Not because it's not enough RAM, but because 1 stick runs a lot slower than 2 sticks of the same kind in dual channel mode. If your system was a pre-build, this is most likely the case as they try to save money by getting a single stick.

It's super simple to build your own PC really. You have sites like pcpartpicker and youtube videos to help you, all you have to do is just follow the video guide.

For $400, it's very difficult to find a good prebuilt PC that can run the games you mentioned at 1080p normal settings at 60fps. You'll probably have to play at low settings if your monitor is 1080p.

Best option would be this for $340 - https://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-Desktop-Computer-590-p0020/dp/B07BD4Q46Q?ref_=Oct_RAsinC_Ajax_13896597011_&pf_rd_r=TKKZY9N7NNEYAWZEY2H7&pf_rd_p=d5e8b3af-9303-51f3-9f0f-ce96a426f7c2&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-6&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=13896597011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER

But it only has 4GB ram which is unacceptable, so you have to add $30 and you'll get an extra 8GB ram which would give you 12GB in total - https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Single-PC4-21300-288-Pin-Memory/dp/B0734V4SSR/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=8gb+ram+ddr4+2666&qid=1562592956&s=gateway&sr=8-6

This would require you opening up the PC, and installing that one stick of RAM.

So in total this is $370 including a keyboard and mouse, but you have no monitor. Adding a 1080p monitor would cost another $90, which would be something like this - https://www.amazon.com/Acer-SB220Q-Ultra-Thin-Frame-Monitor/dp/B07CVL2D2S/ref=sr_1_18?keywords=1080p%2Bmonitor%2B22%2Binch&qid=1562593800&s=gateway&sr=8-18&th=1

All together it would be $460, this is the best I could come up with. When you have more money you could also add in a graphic card like a GTX 1650 or a GTX 1050TI which would allow you to play the latest games no problems. Hope this helps.

This is the Tower/Computer: https://www.amazon.com/HP-8300-Elite-Computer-Quad-Core/dp/B01CV9G1BO

Here’s the monitor: https://www.amazon.com/Acer-SB220Q-Ultra-Thin-Frame-Monitor/dp/B07CVL2D2S/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=acer+sb220q&qid=1565054967&s=gateway&sprefix=acer+&sr=8-1

The monitor seemed like it was brand new when we got it, not too long after we got it though, it started showing symptoms of a black screen and a few lines across the screen, now it displays it constantly and the colors of the lines are brighter and blocking the Windows home. I’ve heard of other users having this problem and even tried to switch cables but that did nothing for them or me. I’m not sure if this monitor was damaged when it arrived because it’s an LCD monitor and it says things like keeping it away from sunlight, moisture and rain. Also says to keep it in range of a room with -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit which I have done. We might have to get a replacement if I can’t figure anything else out by tomorrow. This is ridiculous.

I don’t have anything yet I didn’t want to buy the wrong thing.

Given that you aren't a keyboard, mouse or monitor guru, odds are you already have those in your house. If not: $90 here And you can use any old keyboard or mouse.. Or a controller too.
