Same link to the device without a referral ID for scott mcnulty in it.

This probably has something to do with it.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GDQ0RMG/ref=nav_shopall_k_tv_stick

It took what.... 4 years to get instant video on android, and only after the massive failure of the fire phone. I wonder what it will take to make amazon realize being a dick won't make me buy another tv-dongle-thingy. The only thing it will accomplish is making me dislike amazon even more than I already do, possibly resulting in the cancellation of my prime account.

  • Fire TV Stick, which is a lower-cost alternative to the awesome Fire TV. (think Apple TV, but actually good)

  • Raspberry Pi which is a tiny fully-functional/fully-featured ARM computer.

  • Arduino, which is an easy-to-use electronics prototyping platform, great if you're interested in learning how to make your own electronics and whatnot. (you might also want this, this, this, this, and this. Should be less than $40 altogether, though you could also probably find like a starter kit that comes with an arduino, book, and components.)

  • Huion drawing tablet, great for if you want to do digital art. I haven't used this model specifically, but I do have the (bigger/more expensive) Huion 610 Pro, which I love.

  • Amazon Prime student was like $40 IIRC, not sure if that has changed though.

It has Plex support.

Amzon Fire Stick for $25, great deal considering they sell for $30-40 used:

From the product page: "Fire TV Stick cannot be powered directly by your HDTV and should be plugged into your wall."

Probably due to more powerful hardware than the Chromecast (love that it does Miracast receiving), but having to plug it into the wall is inconvenient. They always gloss over this part - Chromecast did too, but luckily it can be TV USB powered. May still be worth it to those who are going to set it up and forget about it or don't regularly have access to TV USB ports anyway.

Tell her to buy a fire stick from Amazon. It is less than $40. She can get Netflix and all kinds of games and apps.

If you scroll down you can see a comparison chart:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GDQ0RMG?ie=UTF8&at=&force-full-site=1&ref_=aw_bottom_links

But it's basically the same thing but the stick has a remote and you can play games on it. Like flappy bird...WOOO just what I needed

u/stjep · 5 pointsr/technology

The Fire Stick was on sale for $20 recently, and is only $39 now. Amazon also claims much better specs over a Chromecast, if you're into that.

Amazon and Sony are the two companies that wont see my money as they used to.

u/Breakr007 · 3 pointsr/xbmc

Potentially the fire tv stick coming out soon. $39, and it's very possible it will be similarly as easy to put xbmc on it as the fire tv. I'm excited about this thing. I think it may be a dual core processor, 1gb ram.

I would not recommend giving your kids access to a computer that you need for your home business. How about a USB stick to let them watch Netflix on the TV?

Have you considered something like Chromecast, or the newly announced [Amazon Firestick}(http://amzn.to/103Eoa5). Might be a better solution for them.

u/SoberIrishGuy · 2 pointsr/apple

I don't believe the Amazon video app supports the Chromecast, so out of those two devices the Apple TV would be your best bet.

Those aren't your only options though. The Roku, Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick, and Nexus Player are all worth considering. The Roku even has native apps for all those services so you wouldn't have to stream anything from your phone.

u/Drmurder69 · 2 pointsr/Twitch

Yes there is a twitch app for the fire stick. If you scroll down to what's on fire stick part of the page, you will see twitch :)

Oh no, Santa - sounds like you've had a rough night.

I wonder if the small little package might be an Amazon Fire TV Stick for my boyfriend? It was at the top of his list but was nowhere to be found beneath the Christmas tree this morning.

Feel better, Santa!

u/lord_dumbello · 2 pointsr/kindlefire

I could be wrong but I don't believe chromecast won't work without Google Play services, which Amazon doesn't allow on their kindles. Amazon wants you to buy their Amazon Fire TV Stick and not use Chromecast. Welcome to the world of Amazon going head to head with Google.

Aside from rooting and installing the Play Store, you might be out of luck with Chromecast. I have a KFHD7 from 2012 and I had to root install a custom rom on it because I got so frustrated with it's terrible interface and lack of support for the Play Store and other Google Apps. I don't recommend rooting unless you're really motivated, because it's very easy to break/brick kindle fires, especially those from 2012 onward.

u/joeredspecial · 2 pointsr/fireTV

Well this is interesting. The FireTV stick comparison page now says "coming next year" for HBO Go. I'm pretty sure it used to say December or end of the year, it looks like it's been quietly delayed. I'm not happy about this at all.

u/mealsharedotorg · 2 pointsr/AdviceAnimals

Get Amazon Prime. Then you'll have access to almost the entire library of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. Combine with Amazon Fire Stick and you're all set.

u/reddit_use · 2 pointsr/Romania

u/Mrwhitepantz · 2 pointsr/gadgets

There's a list on the promo page, http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-W87CUN-Fire-TV-Stick/dp/B00GDQ0RMG but it doesn't look like crunchyroll is on there. It might come eventually but seeing as it's a brand new device they might want to wait and see what the customer base is.

u/JimboLodisC · 2 pointsr/Chromecast

I'm not sure about tab casting on the other devices.

Here's a link to Amazon's comparison chart.

u/nuxenolith · 2 pointsr/CFB

Looking long-term, it might be worth the investment. Amazon currently has a sale on both the Fire Stick and Fire TV (although fair warning, I've heard people complain about the latency on the Fire Stick).

u/empossible · 2 pointsr/MLS

There's a quite good Kodi plugin, if you have something that runs Kodi. The $40 Amazon Fire TV Stick runs it. I've got the older generation Fire TV and Stick and both run it just fine. I'd imagine the new one runs it even better.

u/sheymyster · 1 pointr/santashelpers

I don't know if you already have it or not but as a lover of tech myself, I really enjoy my chromecast. It's the little dongle you plug into your television to be able to cast anything from your computer to your television wirelessly through your wifi network. It's only like $35 and there are also free apps for android and apple that let you show pictures/videos from your phone to your television. (This came in handy recently when I wanted to show my family pictures from my recent vacation). I like to play pandora/youtube music when I have people over using it as well. Maybe if it sounds cool to you, you could tell them that. It's not much but it's a start. Good luck man and happy holidays.

Also, Amazon has their version called a Fire Stick if you care more about bringing prime video and netflix and television with you. I don't have one personally but they are about the same cost so it's more preference than anything.

http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-W87CUN-Fire-TV-Stick/dp/B00GDQ0RMG

Scroll down to see services. (Does support Netflix). And I think compared to a Chromecast, this is a lot more convenient, having a remote and the apps are all built in, as opposed to having another device to stream from.

u/bowenac · 1 pointr/xboxone

Any of your media that is on a PC. I used to use a chromecast to, but then got an Amazon Firestick which is way better than chromecast IMO. It also comes with Plex for free so you don't need to pay for it. You only need to pay for it on the Xbox while it is in a "very long beta"...

It is faster, and also comes with a remote. "4x the storage and 2x the memory of Chromecast, plus a dual-core processor and 1 GB of memory." It's $39.99 but I got it for $20 the first day it went on sale. You can even play games on the firestick lol. They also sell a separate game controller, but you can use the included one for a lot of games.

Worth retiring the chromecast and getting one of these.

Just an update it appears that amazon will support windows 8.1 miracast maybe on the next update, as you can see in the comparation chart on the fire tv stick it says windows 8.1 comming soon. how soon? maybe a month maybe a year xD, http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-W87CUN-Fire-TV-Stick/dp/B00GDQ0RMG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426720468&sr=8-1&keywords=fire+tv+stick#compare

u/dancingwithcats · 1 pointr/technology

I am assuming you mean the new TV doesn't have any 'smart TV' capabilities. If it has a free HDMI port then something like the Amazon Fire TV Stick is probably one of the cheapest options out there.

Dell Off Lease Desktop - $180 free shipping

just replace the HDD with like a 5TB Green($110) and then use "WDIDLE3 /d" to reduce head parking

Fire Stick - I like the Fire Sticks better than the Chrome sticks.

If VPN is always on, then you won't be able to access the media stored on that machine, as it won't be on the same network.

I don't use Sick Beard myself, I just curate my own media.

RDP works great, just get a copy of Windows 7, or Linux and then use VNC.

  1. Amazon Fire TV Stick cause cable is too expensive and it's nice having all your streaming apps/games/music in one place especially for entertaining. Plus, if you have prime, you can back up all your pictures to the amazon cloud for extra protection from getting lost in a computer crash and whatnot but this little thing will also display them on your tv. How cool! $39.99 (my Electronics wl)

  2. This album/binder that could be used with scrapbooking, journaling, memorabilia, photos, and even recipes. It's very cute, versatile and I currently use it as a journal/planner. $10.15 (Be creative WL)

  3. This dress because even though I don't like to dress up often, it is nice to have something comfortable, casual, but that can be dressed up to rely on when a professional event, meeting, or party where you may need to dress up a little but feel comfortable doing so. $16.81 (may vary with size options) (clothing wl)

  4. Inside Out because this movie is full of awesome. I personally can use it as a therapy tool, as well. Great entertainment with a powerful message and understanding your emotions and how they interact together. $22.99 (Movies WL)

  5. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U because I have yet to own this for the Wii U and want it so bad. I also know a couple people who would play with me if I were to get this particular game so it would be great for entertaining as well. I'm not sure if you own a wii u or not but figure I put it up here anyway since it is an item I want but wouldn't normally put on a contest here because of its price point. $50.55 (Gaming WL)

I hope this array of interests have sparked some interest with you. If not, thanks for hosting the contest anyway and happy shopping. :) :)

Mountain Time Zone is the sweet spot. I just started watching EPL this year when I got cable it and it was perfect. Saturday and Sunday I get to wake up, walk the dog and then get back-to-back matches. And now that Amazon Fire has NBCSN, you can pick and choose your matches (helpful for watching Bournemouth earlier this year before everyone started paying attention). I've noticed a lot of them end up on replay pretty quickly on that app, so it's worth your $40: http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-W87CUN-Fire-TV-Stick/dp/B00GDQ0RMG/

Shouldn't have any problems with it if it's the same as my FireTV box.

u/saxonjf · 1 pointr/DailyTechNewsShow

There are several of these HDMI dongles, the Chromecast was very early in the game, and it had a massive PR boom. None of the others have done so well.

Among the others, the Roku Streaming Stick has a good chance at making some waves, especially if their next version is like the Roku 3. The Amazon Fire TV Stick has a reasonable chance to be successful, especially at the somewhat reasonable price along with the remote control.

This Vudu Spark and the Matchstick (using Firefox OS) will have no chance. I'm not certain the Matchstick will be ever be released, much less be successful.

Disclaimer: I have a Chromecast, and am using it right now. Actually watching MST3K.

Thanks for your help. I'll check the activity to see what its doing when I get home tonight. Here is the tech breakdown and compatibility list according to amazon. It doesn't mention file types at all though. I can't imagine such a brand new device being incompatible with matroska or mp4.

There's cpu and memory on the device (way better, see the specs comparison here: http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-W87CUN-Fire-TV-Stick/dp/B00GDQ0RMG). The experience will be smoother. Also you can still use an app like the chromecast to control it.

u/BigRedMan69 · 1 pointr/buildapcforme

maybe get the firestick or the intel equivalent? The light web browsing I would lean more towards the Intel stick because it can support Office and other applications. There are also other prebuilts with a smaller form factor that could work.

u/jameschoyce · 1 pointr/Chromecast

I'm reading them as a comparison to the Chromecast because that's how Amazon present it.

The first bullet point on http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GDQ0RMG is "4x the storage and 2x the memory of Chromecast" and they have an image on the left there that says "4x" in it.

Amazon are not just saying "hey, you could buy this instead of a Chromecast" they're specifically saying that it's better than a Chromecast because various quantifiable attributes of their device are greater than the attributes of the Chromecast - despite the fact that the devices operate differently and so the comparison is pointless.

It's like saying a car is "better" than a bus. Well, yes, it is in some ways - a car will probably get you from A to B faster and in more comfort. But a bus has a more powerful engine and you can read the paper while you're riding on the bus. They're devices that achieve similar ultimate ends, but in different ways, so it doesn't make sense to compare stats of one with stats of the other.

u/8ceyusp · 1 pointr/htpc

You could use your mac mini running plex server for your local content and then get one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GDQ0RMG/

(it has a plex client as well as netflix/amazon/hulu/etc. (see the page)

u/cinca2015 · 1 pointr/PS4

I'm not sure about the IP restrictions mentioned above but if you are traveling and wanted to access your channels you might consider a Firestick which is only $40. Assuming there aren't the IP restrictions mentioned below it might be a reasonably alternative to carrying around your PS4 or going without.

The Amazon Fire TV Stick will probably be your best option.

The only thing it can't do is HBO Go and YouTube.

u/fistfulloframen · 1 pointr/htpc

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GDQ0RMG/ref=fs_ftvs buy it and then buy plex, then run plex on your computer https://plex.tv/downloads

u/streamingcanada · 1 pointr/Android

Yes it should have CC support. It's listed on the Amazon under technical details.

So if the content you're currently viewing supports CC then you should be fine.

u/pomfpomfpomf3 · 1 pointr/vitahacks

After checking aliexpress it seems that I lied about the $20 price. Android ones start at $30, for example: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/High-Quality-CX919-2GB-Quad-Core-Android-4-2-Smart-TV-BOX-Stick-MINI-PC-1080P/32510889591.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2016-New-MK809IV-Smart-TV-2GB-8GB-Android-TV-Box-Wireless-HDMI-Dongle-Android-Mini-PC/32640473667.html

These are going to be really shitty, but the point is, they can decode 1080p h264 content just fine, unlike vita/pstv.

Personally, if I had a budget around $40 I'd get an amazon fire tv stick https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Fire-TV-Stick-Streaming-Media-Player/dp/B00GDQ0RMG since it's less likely to be chinese crap, or raspberry pi 3 https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/raspberry-pi-3-model-b/ (if you're into tinkering with your devices)

These will play common h264 content fine (no 10-bit though. this only matters if you watch anime encodes). They won't play HEVC but it will probably be 1-2 more years before HEVC starts getting mainstream.

That's it about HDMI sticks, however:

If you want to spend more money, NVIDIA Shield TV ($200) is the best android-based option: https://www.amazon.com/NVIDIA-SHIELD-Streaming-Player-Android-Gaming/dp/B00U33Q940 - it can hw-decode h264 and hevc and generally is much more powerful device.

If you have unlimited budget, the best option is to build an intel&nvidia-based HTPC and load up plex media player on it (https://www.plex.tv/blog/introducing-the-plex-media-player/). This will play pretty much everything and will give you the best quality video output, which is highly configurable: https://mpv.io/manual/master/#opengl-renderer-options just look at these options.

tl;dr: get amazon fire tv stick

u/construktz · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

I think you're looking for the Asus F556UA.

It's a high quality budget laptop with a full HD display, 256GB SSD, and gives you USB Type C which allows for a wide range of connectivity.

However, if you're just looking for something so you can watch Netflix on your TV, I would just buy an Amazon Fire TV Stick. I bought one so my fiance could watch Netflix in the bedroom and it has served that purpose very well. Even while still planning to buy a laptop, if you want to play Netflix, I'd still get one of those. They are incredibly handy and inexpensive. They also work in hotel rooms, so it's pretty sweet.

I need to really have two browsers for each login I have.

I have been having really a lot of issues lately sleeping surrounding managing calories and going to the gym, on top of insomnia issues.

I actually am going to hold on my books for now. Those ideas need to manifest a little longer. They aren't going to disappear overnight and in fact its better I take a break on it for now, because I really need to build up my coding foundations first

Coding and development

  • I don't think I'm a conventional learner for coding. For some reason, tutorials just seem boring to me? I really need to just rapidly use "Idea foundation" and have some project in mind and build a working prototype quickly. I guess I should take a class anyhow.

    Reddit usernames

  • Why the hell am I even writing about coding on this account and not my other one? It'd make more sense to do it there. Literally, I should make my subreddit over on that one

MIND STATES, and using a different coding name

  • Okay, I am going to make this thread reply completely defunct, I see no reasoning behind putting my coding thinking here. Plus I can't share what coding knowledge I do have anyhow. Its better if its under my different anaconda account instead

Also, I had some random ideas about tattoos on left and right side of my arm (left is past phoenix, right is future ? dragon?). IDK. Anyways, really I don't need to put all my colornotes down, just the ones i found most important, like some of them were stupid like TV anime show cooking - all the different ideas like medicinal cooking, food science cooking, smellyass duran level cooking

Taking ideas off fiction writers for note taking and idea generation

    4 Types of notetaking

  • So I've heard writers who use 2 seperate programs, one for editing (Anything goes here), and one for idea generation (Reddit)

  • This seems like a really good idea. Notetaking in of itself. Its important to define all the 4 types of note taking methods out there, in order to learn. It adds onto my STUDY THEORY that essentially goes into MIND STATES and RAPID FEEDBACK-CEPTION , but more importantly NOTES! This is everything I've observed thus far in my life about note taking. AND NOW, http://i.imgur.com/lf0ImDm.png. University learning emphasizes all of those

    • This is what happens when you study on your own with little resources, but not at univeristy (University you do all the red arrows). http://i.imgur.com/knlxCGi.png (LEARNING)

    • The above 2 examples, the purple/ teal arrows indicate which direction MOST of your learning thought process goes through, but in reality you are doing all of them, just not as much generaly

    • Its a tad confusing to look at since I didn't know how to format so much information for people to read, so i just made it so I myself can read it for now. Because, MVP, I need to understand it to have someone else to understand it first

      ---------------------

ONENOTE AND SURFACE PRO (OneNote App, vs OneNote Program) LAte 2015 to 2016, Surfacepro 4

  • Surface Pro is a fully functional PC. It can run either native program , or through an app with special "Features" of recognizing text for writing. Any other Tablet/Transformer laptop that's not a surface pro for handwriting notes is going to be vastly inferior, since surface pro is made by microsoft and designed to optimally work with OneNote

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alpwQgVtVUQ. This one shows the metro APP to some degree (That's the applet, not the program, which is recommended in surface pro). Heck, I probably have the metro applet too? On my touch enabled dell laptop. German guy, lots of shape recognition. http://i.imgur.com/WOVzoMh.png. Can annotate pictures in real life real time http://i.imgur.com/6qiqLgO.png. Also, can do dual monitor screen clipping http://i.imgur.com/9cQmwmR.png.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gauy34-Ogw. This video came out 1.5 months ago, from someone who's obviously really passionate about onenote. This is probably the BEST I've seen on the applications of Metro APP + Onenote+Surface Pro 2016. Can do some advanced math http://i.imgur.com/s5auQNN.png. Can convert handwriting notes to text, http://i.imgur.com/e5yADqU.png, not sure how reliable

  • And duh, your using a PC in class, so you can do compiling code if you wanted to, go on masterengineering.com, facebook, shits like that, all the advantages

  • Does it suit me? . No idea. Don't really care at the moment to be honest,. No, it does not, the reason for this is that I do not take any classes in person and in school. But its nice to know

  • Who the hell really needs this? Really, the only people who need it are STEM majors in school, because of all the math features functions, variable style notetaking and complexity of notes. Can't see why a Literature major would ever want it. Or a political science major. I guess you can, but you don't need all the fancy diagrams and shit

  • COST. For a $700 Surfacepro 3, it sure has some shit specs cost/value ratio. http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Surface-Intel-Core-Windows/dp/B00KHQWPZA/ref=sr_1_8?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1463066693&sr=1-8&keywords=surface+pro. Fucking hell, my dell laptop runs like a horse and I paid $700 for it like 3 years ago, did a ton of research here. I can run like 10 programs on it all at the same time. Surfacepro 3 or 4 is definitely for people who have money to throw around

  • STYLUS? I should try it out, the http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GDQ0RMG/ref=ods_gw_d_h1_smp_ma_sh2?pf_rd_r=0R4QGV031PYJP87DMW6E&pf_rd_p=db92b227-a790-42b2-9dba-e33e740bfcf4

  • I don't use windows 8.1. WIN+D to exit out of the homescreen metro app garbage.

ONENOTE TUTORIAL BOOK THINGS I FORGOT TO WRITE

  • Forgot to tell you can have two onenote apps open at same time to compare notes to each other. Helps when i make new diagrams of say PMT and VMT analysis

  • Also, when i use ONENOTE+EVERNOTE, its a long term investment, takes a lot of work but its SUPER scalable to anything i do in life. This 600,000 word post is consolidating that knowledge. REDDIT is serving one primary function, its "Thinking Aloud Notes". http://i.imgur.com/HCzHsYK.png.

    --------------------------

WRITING BOOK OUT - I should be using MSword copy paste dumps

  • I really, really should be copying my notes into a MSWORD doc as I write them down. Silly me. Then I should've organized it -ish into a streamlined -ish format and my book would've been done. Fuck me.

  • Specifically, REDDIT to generate the notes, MSWORD to cull and format it. Should be done all within the same day. Because when i look at MSword I just ran into writers block, really, I have 600,000 to 800,000 words that need to really, be indexed properly. There just fucking free floating there. I shouldn't be generating new ideas for my book, I should be consolidating knowledge[QUOTE1]. Because I need a book to consolidate all my acquired knowledge, helps me think.

    PMT and VMT relationships EXPANDED

  • I left off here. http://imgur.com/6aA5nNt. I might as well fucking finish it.I DID NOT, clarify all the relationships here, for my theory, as I did in notetaking http://i.imgur.com/lf0ImDm.png. I should totally just print this fucking out anyhow for interviews. Really, I'm going to fucking stick all my diagrams I made all over my room later on in my life , its my own wisdom I created, from other's wisdoms originally, and I can learn from myself as I've learned from others. It also reinforces my disciplinary skills and beliefs as well. [QUOTE1]. All dem posters, will be in a hidden little poster flipper thing http://i.imgur.com/14fIf2a.png. Whenever I want to see my "artwork" essentially, my diagrams, because I sure as hell don't want to look at them all the time, just when i get lost and confused and bored and need inspiration

  • BACK ON TOPIC. Took me all day, but I finished my diagram explanation theory on PMT, VMT, s-VMT, and s-PMT. Here IS THE COMPILATION OF ALL THE RESEARCH I DID FOR THIS SHIT THEORY. http://i.imgur.com/p3QxxGu.png

  • Why the hell this matters, I don't know, but I really felt like defining it. In science, its important to define everything. So I did. I defined my own, shit version of how my psychology works, and it doesn't really matter if its right, the fact that I compiled all my research of me poking through my head is important.

You can definitely get it in the UK.

And probably Canada.

Roku is neither twice the cost of a Chromecast, nor does it has half the content.

Amazon has a wonderful comparison page where you can see the Fire Stick, Chromecast, and Roku Stick side by side. All of which can be plugged into an HDMI with a tiny dongle.

Cheapest reliable "non-hackneyed" method is Fire TV Stick

> Because you want a living room device, at low cost relative to your PC.

So a low cost living room device...

  • Steam link If you got a gaming PC. You can literally play every game on your TV. It streams it over your home network to your TV.

  • Nvidia Shield Same thing as steam link. Little pricier though. Need an Nvidia card in your PC.

  • A PS4. And you get to play PS4 exclusives.

    Just want to watch netflix/hulu/amazon?

    Fire stick TV. 40 Bucks.

I still don't see why you would ever get an xbox now. The only downside I can see is that you can't play xbox exclusives in the living room. You have to play on a PC. But that still doesn't even make since to me since I can easily move my PC gaming rig into the living room and hook it up to the TV with an HDMI cable...

I realize your in an Apple thread, so not sure if you're only wanting an Apple product, or just didn't know where else to look.

but a FireTV stick will do it for about $40.

Or the box, which is more powerful for about $100.

If you're only after an Apple product, sorry for the distraction.

Yes. Roku has less power, less cache on the device and costs almost double, well 2/3rds more. This page shows a good comparison for the Roku, Chromecast, and the new Amazon TV Firestick.

If you are going to buy something, just get the Fire TV stick:
http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-W87CUN-Fire-TV-Stick/dp/B00GDQ0RMG
(or a video cable, like MHL-HDMI, if your phone supports it.)

It is US$40, good very good reviews, and it does Miracast as well as Amazon's version of casting. Miracast is a peer-to-peer so you don't need to connect to Wifi hotspot and it has better latency.
