I'd go with the Ryzen 1600 honestly. It's only $30 more, with 50% more cores and 50% more threads.
http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Ryzen-5-1500X-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-1600/3921vs3919

Or the 1600x if you want the overclocking, $10 extra over the 1600.

Okay well I did the math anyways;

1600x scores ~1368 in multithreading and costs 231 euros. Which give it a score of 5.9 from your chart.

The 1600 gets ~1258 in mulithreading and costs 199 euros, getting a score of 6.32.

This was done assuming amazon.de prices include VAT, but if they don't and you need to add 19% on top, you still get 5.31 for the 1600 and 4.98 for the 1600x putting them both above 1700 anyways.

u/TheUnknown71 · 7 pointsr/bapcsalescanada

1600x - Also on sale for 289.74 which is lowest I've seen.

u/infocom6502 · 4 pointsr/AyyMD

This (1500x) is their best quadcore with full 2CCX's worth of 16MB L3 cache https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Processor-Wraith-Cooler-YD150XBBAEBOX/dp/B06XKVNRSM/r

But I'm sure the hexacore 1600 is their best midrange CPU (and best value at under $220). It's basically a higher end CPU at midrange price.

Whether the Ryzen 5 1600x qualifies as mid range or high end might depend on your income figure. I'd consider it either. $270 at Amazon right now.

CPU - £180 https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06XKWT7GD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Motherboard - £118 https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06WWR533P/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

RAM - £143 https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06XZT894R/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

GFX card - £197 https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-Nvidia-1060-GDDR5-Black/dp/B01KHWOAR4/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1542721941&sr=1-3&keywords=1060

Case - up to you, ensure that it can take full size boards though (most do)

Monitor - Amazon Warehouse will get you one for about 150
Keyboard and mouse - keyboards are fairly standard, for a mouse try and get one with some extra buttons but don't go mental.

you can go up and down based on what you actually want though, for example if you spend extra on the gfx card that is SLI or Crossfire compatible you can buy the same card later when it drops in price and you are able to slot it in too, so you've boosted your graphics without having to pull everything apart again.

no point in suggesting a PSU right now as it all depends on what power is needed by components

If you can stretch for it, the Ryzen 1600x is currently $150, and has twice the multi-core speed. This would future proof you much better. Keep an eye on those deals!

u/PM_YOUR_MP · 3 pointsr/buildapcsalesuk

Wow they are expensive for the other chips.

E.g. £150 for a B Grade 1600x -

NEW they are £129 at Amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-Ryzen-1600X-Desktop-CPU/dp/B06XKWT7GD/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1540450045&sr=8-1&keywords=1600x

Ryzen 1's are falling faster than SSD's at the moment.

Problems with Ram/ Asus Strix B350/ 1600x/Gtx 1070

Just the other day I upgraded to a 1600x and Some new ram.
Everything works fine, except the ram is stuck at 1064MHz when it should be running at 2666MHz. I've tried changing the values in the Bios/ updating the bios. However, I've had zero success. Any help would be appreciated.

u/akingcool · 2 pointsr/buildapc

have you checked the prices recently? The difference is actually a lot smaller than i thought it would be, only $10.

https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Ryzen-1600X-Processor-YD160XBCAEWOF/dp/B06XKWT7GD

https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i5-7600K-Desktop-Processors-BX80677I57600K/dp/B01MRRPPQS

Also the OP already has a GPU lol so no changing that.

Spain (all prices include 21% VAT)

Part | Amazon | PCComponentes
---|---|----
1800X | 446€ | 529€
1700X | 363€ | 419€
1700 | 316€ | 316€
1600X | 250€ | 279€
1600 | 218€ | 225€
1500X | 203€ | 209€
1400 | 170€ | 179€
I only welected the one sold directly by amazon or managed by them, if you're willing to go with Amazon marketplace there's a 1800X for 432€ and a 1600X for 236€.

They seem to be pretty close to most of the european prices.

My question regarding the X version is what to pick when I already have a Corsair 280mm AIO.

u/GGATHELMIL · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

you can buy it new on amazon for 228 no tax and free 2 day shipping

Is this not a good deal?

u/bagelarebanned420 · 1 pointr/buildapc

Yea I’m also upgrading to 8gb. And I’m wanted to buy this one:

AMD Ryzen 5 1600x Prozessor https://www.amazon.de/dp/B06XKWT7GD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_OSAWCbY22XFTB

u/Redditthrowaway8847 · 1 pointr/buildapc

Thanks a lot for the advice! So this Motherboard: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813144018 , this proccesor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XKWT7GD/ref=s9_acsd_al_bw_c_x_5_w?th=1 , and some ddr4 ramhttps://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-2400MHz-Memory-Black/dp/B01ARHBBPS/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1502854071&sr=1-3&keywords=ddr4+8gb ? I I assume I would need a new cpu cooler aswell.

u/Solomon_Gunn · 1 pointr/pcgaming

That's not apples to apples at all. The R5 1600 and 1600x is comparable to the 7600k in performance, not the 7700k. And again, the story is the same.

R5 1600 at 210

and the 7600k at 240

with the 1600x at $230 on sale, base price 266

u/Tipsheda · 1 pointr/buildapc

Because of the better multithreading, I'm guessing. I would guess the way to go would be the R5 1600X?

u/Anaron · 1 pointr/bapcsalescanada

Geez! The 1600X is $288.19. It's $324 on Newegg.

u/Stasio300 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

If I were you I'd get the Ryzen 5 1600x, it's 200MHz slower (you can overclock it if you get a decent cooler), it has 2 more cores with more cache and it's cheaper. This is the Amazon UK link to it. If you get it with a decent motherboard you'll get the same performance for cheaper.

Edit: German link

Edit 2: PC Partpicker list, you save 119.90

u/Blaexe · 1 pointr/Vive

I'd take a Ryzen 1600/1600X over this i5 any day - 6 cores and it's even cheaper. Doesn't even have hyperthreading - wtf.

u/The-ArtfulDodger · 0 pointsr/pcmasterrace

Lied? No reread what I said. I said cheaper than the 1600x.

You really need to work on your comprehension.

Ironically the 7600k just went up in price but its still very close (10p difference):

https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-Ryzen-1600X-Desktop-CPU/dp/B06XKWT7GD

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Core-i5-7600K-QuadCore-Cache/dp/B01MRRPPQS

Now please. Give it up fanboy.

Edit: I just noticed you are comparing the 7600.. I guess I should have realized I was debating with a tech illiterate child.

u/Ew_E50M · 0 pointsr/Amd

Ignorant outdated fanboy spotted, it hurts to know that faster CPUs from intel are cheaper, doesnt it?

Amazon 1600X $249 | i5 7600K $239

Newegg 1600X $249 | i5 7600K $239

Mindfactory (EU) 1600X 249E | i5 7600K 228E

Its the same all over, and there are cheaper Intel motherboards in various sizes and configurations readily avail. Not to mention that in countries with high VAT the 1600X costs up to $300 due to nonexistant profit marigin for retailers due to AMD selling them near MSRP cost to retailers. Where as the i5 7600K remains at its low price.

But 1600X isnt a bad choise, it has some weak points yeah. Its not an obvious choise. It comes down to what is avail and what the user needs the PC for. So no its not EVERYONE BUY RYZEN! a faster CPU for gaming is cheaper with more motherboards avail that doesnt rely on fast ram, concidering the memory issues with Ryzens cheaper motherboards as well, where the makers cheaped out on copper reducing stability due to AMD neglecting to inform them of Ryzens needs.
