I bought this one works great

It seems to be hit or miss as to which chargers will give us turbo/quickcharge speeds on this phone. I'm not sure why ones that say they'll do QC 2.0 or in this case 3.0 (backwards compatible with 2.0) wouldn't charge particular phones. I bought this one by Anker and it works great and gives me the fast speeds, at least out of the top port. I don't need two ports so I don't know about the bottom one because I haven't used it, but I think that's just a standard port. I just got it on someone's recommendation and it's not like an extra port hurts.

There is a free app called Ampere that shows you how many mA you're pulling, what the voltage is, what the battery percentage is, what the temperature is, what the battery health status is, and if that's all Greek or useless to you - what the charge rate is. I'm looking at it right now as I charge for example and in the Charge Rate field it says "turbo". So that would seem to be an easy way to test it if it wasn't obvious by just watching your battery meter. Mine is pulling 2,000 mA.

I don't know much about cables other than that the ones you bought say in their Amazon description that they're Quickcharge 2.0 compatible, so that's presumably not the problem.

If yours isn't working, return it and try the one I got and cross your fingers.

Hey is your phone rooted and ROM'd by the way? Mine's not, and I think I've seen people saying that that can matter, though I'm not sure why. Just another variable for your investigation.

Get this one. it's QC 3.0 which is backwards compatible with 2.0, well made, and future proof for your next phone.

amazon.com

here are a few options

first one is 7 dollars currently

https://www.amazon.com/Charge-Anker-Charger-PowerPort-Galaxy/dp/B01AHX1ABW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1468527965&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=anker+usb+charger&psc=1

This one is slightly more at 11 dollars but has 2 usb ports so you can charge your phone or tablet at the same time as powering your mini nes.

This one is $29 and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, probably not worth the extra money unless you frequently plan on charging your phone or tablet using it, and said device is among the list of devices using Qualcomm Quick Charge.

Or pick any other similar highly rated device on amazon.

Apparently the charger that comes with the phone only supports Quick Charge 2 but the V20 supports Quick Charge 3. Not a huge change from 2 to 3, mainly just more efficient at charging so less energy lost as heat. But if you are interested in getting the most out of your charger I would recommend this one (I actually bought the single port version but for some reason I can't find it again.) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AHX1ABW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_v3Pjyb498MGGR

If you're looking for a good car charger then this one is great, has Quick Charge 3 and has 2 ports which is great for long car trips. (I have their older version that has Quick Charge 2 instead) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A4ZGLZ8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Y3PjybTG7N6S8

The Priv has a massive battery. Anker makes some great quick chargers that really make a difference. I'd recommend one at work and maybe a portable quick charger if your messenger bag/purse/backpack/whatever you carry. The Priv also supports wireless charging, so if you want a wireless charger on your desk that's an option, just make sure you put a hefty charger behind the wireless pad. I use a dock instead of wireless. Seems more functional to me.

As a side note, I kitted my portable charger out with 2x USB-micro B cables, a Lightning cable, and a micro-B to C adapter. Got sick of iPhone people always being dead and me saying I've got power if you've got a wire. Got the C adapter just to be inclusive. Haven't needed it yet.
