I have two of these and they look amazing for the price! It has an IPS panel so the colors are very vibrant.

FYI: Only DVI and VGA but a both of mine use HDMI to DVI cables

u/AfterAtoms · 7 pointsr/buildapcsales

With that $100 rebate, you could get this 22 inch IPS frameless 1080p monitor for $99. There might be better monitors under $100, but that was the first result I found. It'll be an upgrade to mostly any sub-$1000 laptop display and you won't have regrets unless you're on the go a lot and game on the go.

That’s actually a pretty good build for less than 500, nice ingenuity! I’ll edit this in a second when I find the monitor I’m thinking of but it’s sub 100 and has amazing value!

What size? Do you need 60Hz or 75 out 144? Do you need Freesync or Gsync or neither? IPS or TN panel? VESA mount or no?

I just bought a 22" IOC monitor that I love. Only 60Hz and no VESA or anything fancy, but it's a great colored IPS panel for $99

for gaming you're not going to get anything super good. However I do use on of these as a second monitor and it works pretty well. (It only has DVI and VGA unfortunately. No HDMI)

u/LoveCheeze · 3 pointsr/buildapcsales

Or AOC I2267FW from Amazon for the same price

u/[deleted] · 3 pointsr/buildapcsales

This monitor is always $99. Actually its on sale on amazon right now for $80. https://www.amazon.com/AOC-I2267FW-22-Inch-Frameless-Brightness/dp/B00CLZ047Q/

I just bought 3 of them last week.

u/lixxiee · 3 pointsr/bapcsalescanada

I've been looking for a nice monitor in that size range and roughly a similar price range. My other requirements are IPS, bezeless and/or aesthetic, and preferably a low response time.

Results follow.

AOC I2379VHE: $165, 23", ugly bezel, 5ms

Acer R240HY: $180, 23.8", beautiful bezel, 4ms; my dream come true if it were at $150, like it has been previously

Dell S2218H: $150, 21.5", has a nice aesthetic but not the thinnest of bezels, 6ms; have it at $112 presuming you can use all the coupon codes @ here

AOC i2267fw: $140, 22", beautiful bezel, 5ms; almost certainly my fallback

u/nmotsch789 · 3 pointsr/pcmasterrace

https://www.amazon.com/AOC-I2267FW-22-Inch-Frameless-Brightness/dp/B00CLZ047Q shorter second link, I just removed a bit at the end. Also, if you're putting multiple links, it's helpful to have a line break (for some reason Reddit requires you to press enter twice to have a line break (Or a space and then enter? Or enter then a space? Not sure)).

I ended up getting [this one] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CLZ047Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1), decent price, 1080 and can do 75Hz at a few different resolutions. Hopefully it gets the job done!

u/JesusPhone · 2 pointsr/pcgaming

this is what I got with my build, I haven't had any problems so far.

Also the monitor can detach from the base and stand on it's on if you want, which I really like, once I get some spending money im gonna pick up a second one

edit: worth mentioning that this has no HDMI or displayport hookups, just VGA/DVI-D

u/KiwiJuce3 · 2 pointsr/buildapc

honestly for about 40 euros more I would go with a Ryzen 3 1200 (£92 [mobo for it (£50]), results are high-max settings 60fps in almost all titles older then a year, and about 60 in medium settings AAA titles. The pentium being a dual core cpu really limits it in the future, even though it is hyperthreaded, and the Ryzen 3 offers overclocking.

As for the keyboard and monitor, a good monitor I've found is (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CLZ047Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), though you might have to find a european version. Its decently large for the size, reliable, and works pretty, but it doesnt get too bright in direct sunlight, so you might want to close your window when gaming, although we all live in our mother's basement's so that wont affect you (loljk)

As for the keyboard, I'd say go with the Blackwidow Chroma, tournament edition. Reliable, nice looking, and nice feeling.

These two things together might be going over-budget a little, but they're both quality products. Feel free to switch out the keyboard for a cheaper one from another company, but I'd definitely recommend that monitor.

If you are looking for a mouse, I'de say go with the Logitech G403 Prodigy Wireless gaming mouse, offers a nice build, and wired connection to charge while using.

Just because the refresh rate is higher (AKA the Hz), does not mean it has less lag. You want to look at the response time to determine the amount of lag the monitor will give you, look for a monitor around 5 ms response time. I would also recommend an IPS monitor. This is my recommendation, http://www.amazon.com/AOC-I2267FW-22-Inch-Frameless-Brightness/dp/B00CLZ047Q/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1458298877&sr=1-4&keywords=IPS.

u/ZMOT7S · 2 pointsr/buildapcsales

Browsing? It would be fine. Photo editing, I would say look for an IPS. You can find a 24" IPS for around $120 I'd say.

  1. Cooling is never a bad thing to include in a build, your CPU will not fry without one, but I would recommend purchasing one. The cooler you listed is compatible with AM3+ sockets.

  2. PSUs aren't too expensive. If you wish to upgrade in the future you could just get a new PSU with the upgrade. Your electric bill won't go up because of the amount of wattage your PSU supports (only what your computer draws for wattage).

  3. The difference between companies is how the GPU is manufactured (could be the amount of fans, clock speeds, dimensions of the card, etc.). The big difference is performance, the EVGA card has a faster core clock at 1152 Mhz and the Zotac has a core clock of 1089 Mhz. I'd recommend this model of the 950, though (more fans and a higher clock speed) https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Cooling-Graphics-02G-P4-2951-KR/dp/B013WQCC8Q.

Note: if your budget is tight, don't be afraid to lose a little bit of performance by purchasing the Zotac brand GPU. I would recommend the higher quality card, but at the end of the day they are both GTX 950s.

  4. Here's a nice mid tower case. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146189&cm_re=nzxt-_-11-146-189-_-Product.

Also, another recommendation for a monitor https://www.amazon.com/AOC-I2267FW-22-Inch-Frameless-Brightness/dp/B00CLZ047Q/ref=sr_1_8?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1465717255&sr=1-8&keywords=monitors (I personally enjoy monitors with a thin bezel).

Note: Sorry if I left any needed info, feel free to ask if you need more in-depth answers.

I bought three AOC I2267fw Monitors from amazon for $99 each. These are 22" IPS displays, and they work extremely well for the price that I paid. My only minor grips are as follows: 1. No HDMI or Displayport, only VGA and DVI. 2. No vesa mount. This isn't as big of a deal, there is an adapter that will add a vesa, but still something to consider. Here's a link to the monitor on Amazon. http://amzn.com/B00CLZ047Q

u/MAGNIRON · 1 pointr/buildapc

I usually rock dual monitors, so luckily I have a spare with HDMI.
The monitor I am talking about is this AOC I2267FW.

I have this and got it for 90 bucks. It's a very ok monitor... pretty disappointing tbh. Narrow viewing angles. It does it job but for 10 bucks more, you can get an amazing monitor.

This is an IPS Monitor. It has super vivid color and a very wide viewing angles. Very cheap for an IPS Monitor.

The acer should do you very well.

u/sideflanker · 1 pointr/buildapc

Size doesn't really matter much since you can always move the monitor closer to your face if necessary.

If you're doing video or photo editing work, I'd suggest picking up an IPS monitor like this $90 22-inch AOC I2267FW for better color reproduction.

If you'd prefer a larger size monitor, there's also a single 24'' monitor available in your budget range, the $98 Spectre E248.

u/Adaevan · 1 pointr/bapcsalescanada

PcPartPicker has a decent list of monitors, and you can filter out by size and price like I did in that link. You don't seem to be left with many options though.

If you're looking for 1080p, it looks like you're stuck with this Viewsonic VA2055SM. It has speaker and is a VA panel, which is nice, but it has a 25ms response time and shipping is 1-4 weeks lol.

Or you could go for a 900p monitor with a faster response time.

Or you could go with a 22" monitor that's 1080p and IPS and 5ms response time like this.

u/Simulated_jpeg · 1 pointr/buildapc

To pick up on IncultusMagica's parts list, if you swap out the GTX 1060 3gb model to a 6gb, and sacrifice 2 inches of screen for a great monitor from AOC I got with DVI cables, you can increase your graphics and still enjoy a great monitor. I got it about a month ago and it works outstanding and have had no issues with it whatsoever. Good viewing angles.

u/alzhang8 · 1 pointr/UCalgary

I got it for 300 so I probably wants like 150 for it, but with that price range you can get something like this

or this or this

u/Bobicusx · 1 pointr/buildapc

For example there's this one $80, 1080p 60hz,, ips etc etc. I have no clue how good a monitor it is so I'm not recommending it specifically, but after a quick look its an example.

u/4psae · 1 pointr/buildapc

There are cheaper 1080p 60Hz IPS monitors. An RX 480 will play most anything in at least 1080p Ultra at 60FPS.

u/nilleftw · 1 pointr/buildapc

That car is obviously edited though. Nothing added, nothing bigger or smaller than it should be, just color, contrast and stuff.

Also, if AOC are the ones supplying the images. Why do Amazon have the correct images from AOC's website?

This was brought up on Reddit four months ago with another product from Newegg, where Amazon had other pictures.

u/ImpossibleWarden · 1 pointr/buildapc

If you're comfortable with going refurbished, this (ignore the picture, just look up the model number) seems like a pretty good deal. It's 1080p 75 Hz for $100 and it's around the size that you wanted too.

If you can go a little smaller to 22 inches, this is 1080p 60 Hz for the same price, but it's IPS, so it'll look much better. I personally am using a monitor similar to that from AOC, and it's absolutely amazing for its price, especially since I managed to OC mine to 75 Hz.

The one you linked is pretty good value as well, so any of these options should be good. I don't think it's possible to find a good high quality 24 inch monitor new under $100-120 though, so if that's something you really want, going refurbished is pretty much the only choice.

I'm actually a graphic designer and a gamer myself so i understand your plight. You'll definitely want an IPS display because they offer the best quality in color reproduction and viewing angles. I'm on my phone atm, but I'll link a few different models when i get a sec.

The two IPS monitors only have VGA and DVI, so if your card doesn't have DVI, you'll need an adapter (No big deal, I own the AOC monitor and am using a mini displayport to DVI adapter, works perfectly) Don't use VGA.

The TN monitor is a bit larger (24") if you prefer that, and also has HDMI.

u/McNifficence · 1 pointr/buildapc

I'm a video editor and use two of these. No problems whatsoever after about a year (:

u/Cynical_Lamp · 1 pointr/buildapc

Personally I'd stick with the LG, but AOC has one that fits your needs, just $6 over.

u/mrblanco11 · 1 pointr/Monitors

I'm also an engineer and honestly having two monitors is really helpful for CAD and programming. I picked up two AOC 23" 1080p IPS monitors. The exact model is i2367Fh. Thin bezels, 5ms response. Got both of mine off craigslist for $180 but you can get them brand new right now on Amazon for $260. To connect both monitors I recommend one to run off HDMI and use the eBerry usb 3.0 to VGA for the other. I use it and it works great. Try to find it on eBay for ~$10 if you can.

You could also get 2 of the I2267FW. Same thing as the one above but no HDMI connection, 1 inch smaller, and no speakers. Two of those will run you $200. You will however, need 2 of the eBerry's. Still will come under your $250 limit and can grab some cheap speakers if you need them.

u/wouldyoulikeabag · 1 pointr/macsetups

They're kind of a pain in the ass to mount, too. I think Amazon Prime drops the price 20%, could be worth a trial.

Just in case anybody's interested here's what you'd need:

Mount Adapter

Aaand just in case you're as salty about a $35 adapter as I was, heres a cheap 'n' sturdy mount arm

u/Sayakai · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

> But I am curious as to why you went with the 21" over the 23".

Wasn't sure if it has HDMI.

HDMI is generally a problem with cheap monitors, as they're usually older DVI models...

Is AOC fine?

AOC for DVI.

Also AOC for HDMI.

Both IPS, but one's sadly one inch larger than the other. Hope that's not a problem.

u/jamesgangnam · 0 pointsr/Monitors

this, this, or this would do really nicely. The important thing is that it's an ips panel, meaning colors will look really vibrant and great. If you're not going to be using a mouse, you really don't have to worry about response time.

Edit: a word

u/Blastguy · 0 pointsr/buildapc
