-Seed packets for an easy-to-grow-indoors plant or flower and a small flowerpot (this isn't a very common gift but I've had HUGE success with it, people whom I've given it to find it pretty cute)

-good coffee grounds or tea packets if you know if they like coffee or tea

-Small candles from a quality candle store (i.e. not Walgreens) in generic scents (lavender, clean linen, white tea, amber teakwood, etc.)

-wine (cheap or expensive, tbh. You said college-aged girls? Wine.)

-nice colored pens

-a little "zero-waste eco kit," so a few reusable straws, lightweight silverware like a bamboo cutlery set, Sistema's easy-carry cutlery kit, or an easy-carry collapsible coffee cup

-some small practical items if you know they'd like the idea of getting a practical gift: hair ties, batteries, spare phone chargers, socks, car air freshener, Scrub Daddy dish scubber

I'd recommend you stay away from other generic gifts like any personal hygiene products, cheap coffee mugs with a whimsical font, or like keychains or magnets unless you KNOW they would appreciate them or they have a practical purpose. The personal hygiene product thing might be personal for me because I've gotten too many of those over the years, but most grown women have pretty solid beauty routines and don't really need a new shampoo or face lotion from someone who doesn't know their particular hair texture or skin oiliness for under $20. Also, allergies!!! Though I do have to put in a good word for Aquafor healing ointment in a tube, tub, or mini-tub, because it's hypoallergenic, unscented, and you can use it as ointment for injuries, lip balm, hardcore hand lotion in winter, nail and cuticle moisturizer/un-gross-er, and probably like a cleaning agent.

If you can give any more details about any of them, lmk, I fricken' love helping people decide on gifts.
