    Features:
  • COOLING PERFORMANCE: 5 premium quality copper heatpipes and pre-applied MX-4 thermal compound conduct heat from the GPU efficiently to the 84-fin aluminum heatsink, meanwhile, the three 92mm PWM fans create massive airflow to bring unparallelled cooling performance, even when higher performance is required under overclocking
  • LOW NOISE: The Accelero Xtreme III cools very efficiently thanks to three ultra-quiet PWM fans, thanks to the PWM control, the speed of all fans will adjust according to the temperature of the GPU and thus the noise level remains minimal as always
  • ENHANCED RAM AND VR COOLING: The Accelero Xtreme III comes with 31 RAM and VRMheatsinks to keep your RAM and VR at optimal temperatures. The thermal adhesive facilitates heat dissipation of RAMs and VRMs and offers a strong and lasting bond

It's this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007YLUCKQ/ref=emc_b_5_t The best way to keep GPU nice and cool in ncase.

u/bizzy11 · 2 pointsr/sffpc

Everything looks good imo, although you'll definitely want to pick up another Noctua A9 PWM fan for the cpu cooler as it only comes with 1 fan. Also I would look for some low profile ram as they will prolly interfere with the cpu cooler, like this: https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-2x16GB-3200MHz-Memory-CMK32GX4M2B3200C16/dp/B016ORTNI2/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=corsair+lpx+2x16gb&qid=1555870384&s=electronics&sr=1-6

Also have to agree the 750 psu is prolly a bit overkill, but up to you lol.

Some thermal paste as well if you don't have any: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZJS8Q6S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also, instead of watercooling later, why not slap on an Accelero III on the gpu instead? https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Accelero-Xtreme-III-CrossFire/dp/B007YLUCKQ/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=accelero+III&qid=1555870038&s=electronics&sr=1-1-catcorr

I debated going watercooling for a while too, and unless you plan to do some serious overclocking, I personally don't see the need for it. I have an Accelero III on my 2080 with a custom fan profile, and I can barely hear the fans when running demanding games. I hover between 60-64 degrees Celsius with an overclock and my fans don't spin up past 1500 rpm.

If you do plan on going with the Accelero, I'd recommend getting these fans on the bottom of the case as exhaust: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C5VG64V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You'd basically get rid of the fan shroud on the stock Accelero and have the bottom fans set to exhaust. I have another A12 fan on the side bracket as intake as well, but that's up to you. I'm considering putting a 3.5mm hdd on there instead.

  • You can get the Xtreme III, which does not have the VRM heat problems.

  • Morpheos Core edition this one requires you to purchase 2 120mm case fans separately but will probably be a bit more quiet.

These cooler require you to glue on vrm heatsinks giving them better VRM temperatures but the heatsinks are permanent.

this is the compatibility for this Arctic cooler

So yes, this particular cooler will fit both cards.

> I've looked at this and many others; there's a 2u blower as well from them that is closer but overall doesn't really address exactly what I'm looking for.

Yes, I've also started to consider a spare heatsink/blower above it from a reference design if I can't find something...
something like this perhaps since I don't actually have a card in the slots to consider...

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007YLUCKQ?keywords=nvidia%20titan%20aftermarket%20cooler&qid=1452016893&ref_=sr_1_fkmr2_1&sr=8-1-fkmr2

I could put a piece of ceramic that is non-conductive below it to wick it as well or do some testing and measure it with my flir.

Yea, the GTX 580 cooler was $36 on ebay. So i was like maybe it'll fit. And I had the 7970 cooler left over from selling my 7970. And thought maybe I'll use them to cfx since they look and perform identical.

Fits perfectly in the 54mm X 54mm holes.

Wanted to save money as the AC4 ~$70 and AC3 ~$65 cost almost double for the same cooler with some additional accessories I don't need.

u/BrainSlurper · 1 pointr/hardware

No, I am sure it is correct. Basically, when bitcoin mining was more profitable I ran it at load 24/7 and it took a toll on the cooler, both through dust and possibly fucked up thermal paste. The cooler wasn't good to begin with, and there is no way that I can see to take it apart and clean it out. I think I am going to go with this, because when my 6970 dies I can just put it on a new card.

The cheapest would be Arctic Accelero which can keep the 1080 TI within 65c at max OC. Then there's EVGA Hybrid which probably would perform slightly better than Arctic with regards to temps. If you aren't planning to add a custom water loop in the future, I'd recommend returning the FE and getting a aftermarket card like FTW3 or Strix. If returning isn't possible, you can go with the Arctic or Evga cooler depending on your budget. They both would be a pain to install though.

u/cronson · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Arctic makes one. I'd just go ahead and sell the 580 though and get anything newer.

u/seb_soul · 1 pointr/HardwareSwapUK

Why not just buy an aftermarket cooler (that will actually perform better than the Gaming X) and probably work out cheaper.

Edit: How this one works is it uses the large backplate heatsink to passively cool the VRMs and VRAM modules, whilst the fans blowing air onto them directly from the topside (underside when installed in PC), also aid the cooling. So the parts you are looking for (2+3 from your post, which are there to cool your VRMs and VRAM) become obsolete.

If you have clearance issues with the Accelero IVs backplate - I do in my PC due to the position of my PCI-E slot and my Noctua CPU heatsink, you can buy an Accelero III which comes with mini heatsinks you can put onto the VRMs and VRAMs instead of the backplate, again replacing parts 2+3.

Other then water cooling, my case is already is good as it gets, other then quieter fans, which I plan on going all out in that regard come next case.

I don't remember which CPU cooler I'm running, Coolermaster hyper series I know that, and that it has 2 fans, but the exact hyper I don't remember. Bought it from a local shop so don't have the records on hand. Not running overclock on the CPU bbbbbuutt, might as well do that too.

As far as the GPU fan, I've narrowed it down to dis one or diss one

https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Accelero-Xtreme-III-CrossFire/dp/B007YLUCKQ

That will give you temperatures almost as good as liquid cooling.

u/Bones_Airstrike · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

I have this card. Bought it right before the GPU shortage for $710. I added the Arctic Accelero xtreme iii to it for $70. So for less than $800, I had a great card with a great cooler... seems like a steal now.

u/Thatisdifficult · 1 pointr/Amd

That makes things a little more complicated.

    • -
You can consider getting the reference RX 5700 XT to see if you personally think the blower cooler is perfectly fine; you can also adjust the fan curves and/or undervolt as needed.

You can also just not touch anything to see if you're satisfied with stock performance.
    • -
Worst case scenario, you can just return it I suppose.

Then you can either use your RTX 2080 again, or get the GTX 1080 Ti for a good price (I'm talking under $420 if possible).

Then again, a brand new RX 5700 XT costs only $400, and there's plenty of room for the new Navi architecture to grow through driver updates.

Rajintek Morpehus II

Artctic Accelero

Both claim to be compatible with 1080TIs, no clue which is better though both will be a significant improvement though
