I live in a large house and with two dogs. I have to let them out a few times a day and flies are bound to get in. And once a fly gets in, it's very hard to keep them in control. We had fruit flies for about 7 years and nothing got rid of them, finally bought this bug zapper an have been fly free for 1 year now.
Also, protip, use those Kikoman soy sauce bottles to put vinegar in. They look cute on the counter and are really good at trapping the flies. That's what we did before getting the zapper.
