Well considering you can this one brand new with a desktop 1060, i7 6700hq and a g-sync panel for $1275, no that's a terrible deal lol
in my opinion no. i think you could do better selling your rig and buying a new or different used laptop. there are some laptop options now the 1060 around 1200-1300 new. i briefly looked but here's an example.

You will not get that battery life out of a powerful gaming computer... Usually, the more gaming power, the lower the battery life.. This ASUS ROG STRIX would give you around 4 hours in high gaming and is considered to be 'decent battery life'... It has all the power you will need- thanks to a powerful quad core i7 processor, 16 GB RAM, a fast 256 GB SDD plus a 1 TB HDD and of course, the awesome gtx 1060 dedicated graphics card.. It is also very light weighted and excellent for travelling..It will easily run the games you mentioned above on high settings with more than reasonable FPS and of course, you are sure this computer will perform for the next few years based on how current the specs are.
I would recommend this ROG Strix GL502VM because it comes with very good build quality and it has the specs you need, it comes with Intel Core i7 Quad-Core which is one of the best CPU in the market, 16GB DDR4 RAM which is more enough ram for smooth multi tasking and 1TB HDD for large storage capacity + 256GB SSD for Fast performance and booting, 1080P FULL HD screen like you wanted, and of course 1060 GPU to run the games that you mentioned on high/ultra settings with high FPs all of that and it comes with USB Type-C and up to 5 hours battery life (on light usage of course).
Don't buy origin. ASUS and MSI are both good. Razer is something you can consider for portability. 16GB of RAM is the sweet spot. If you are buying a laptop, make sure to buy one with the 10 series of cards (1060 or 1070). They are MUCH better than the 960m/970m. You definitely want an SSD but it's okay if it has a second HDD (as long as it also has an SSD). I wouldn't buy an AMD laptop currently. Some options for you to consider:

This one looks pretty good. 6700 HQ, GTX 1070, NVMe SSD + HDD. If that's too far over budget, you might consider this one, 6700 HQ, GTX 1060, SSD (non NVMe I believe), 1 TB HDD. Both have 16 GB RAM, 1080p 15.6" screen.

Hi,
The Acer is a good option.
You can also go with the Asus GL502VM, HP Omen 15 or Dell Gaming 7567.

seems like a pretty good gaming laptop, plus it is not huge like most.
My brother just ordered the 1070 version, its about $150 more though.
Also may I suggest /r/suggestalaptop. They are pretty helpful!
