I'm afraid that a lot of it is a Gundam.

I bought it to use the legs and had a lot of stuff left. The legs here are actually the arm joints from the Gundam, and the torso is the Gundam torso without all the plates. The feet are from the maulerfiend kit, as are the tentacles. The gun is a bought bit from the plastic hellbrute, obviously. Thighplates are from Fantasy Chaos Warriors, their shields. The upper thighs are helldrake chunks, but any bit would do there, the extra tubes and mechanisms were nice though.

The head is actually the gundam's head rotated 180 degrees. That's what originally inspired me to go for the Thallax/ED209 look. The neck and arms are cobbled together from chaos tubing bits from the maulerfiend and other junk. The head tubes are actual medical tubing. And the shoulder plates are obviously vehicle sprue stuff. Loincloth from the Daemon Prince kit.

I see it as maybe an Imperial Robot or some other Dark Age Tech repurposed as a brain-and-spinal-chord-only dreadnaught.

Yeah, it's distinctly un-bulky and 40K ish and would be more at home in generic sci-fi, but it's literally cobbled together from cast-off bits and a gundam, so I'm quite satisfied.

The same concept could also be used for an Iron Warriors Daemon Prince, I think.
