I came across my first tarot deck around that age, when it was shipped to my mother from a publishing company to review. Maybe it was just the deck, but I found it a little boring at that age, and didn't return to tarot until a little later in life. I would recommend The Ellis Deck if it wasn't currently sold out, but it has a really well-written app on android and iphone that explains the major and minor arcana as a storytelling device.
