I use camelcamelcamel.com to track price trends. For example, the MRCS trends show a lull during last year's holiday season and a spike when the discontinued rumor floated around. Sign up and set an alert for an ideal price. With Amazon's automated price fixing (to remain competitive), there are times when prices inexplicably drop dramatically for a short time frame. This site has helped me scoop deals during that short price fix window.

I got the su:m 37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick for my birthday, but it broke me out and was far too moisturizing for my skin. But...it's actually kind of amazing as a solid shampoo? I only need the smallest amount--just one or two swipes over my scalp--and it lathers up enough for my butt-length hair. It smells great and it's been pretty amazing. It's expensive as a shampoo, but I'm hoping that since I use so little each time, it'll last a long time and actually be worth it in the long run. Either way, this thing is going to be PERFECT for travel--solid, so I get through TSA quicker, and the tube makes it easier to travel with than my current solid shampoo.

I have both aging concerns (I'm 39) and breakout prone skin and early this year I started implementing a skincare routine with mostly Korean products and it has helped tremendously (thanks r/asianbeauty!) Prior to this the ONLY moisturizer I'd ever found that did not break me out in cystic spots was the Clinique DDM gel moisturizer which isn't really very moisturizing.

With the k-beauty stuff I added BHA and AHA which helps with both acne and aging.

Another important thing to consider is PH. High PH cleansers like your Neutrogena scrub or Cetaphil are really not good for your skin. Some great low PH cleansers are Cerave foaming cleanser (not Korean/Asian), Su:m 37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00EIMU3NU/ref=sxts2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1482935590&sr=2 ) and Hado Labo Gokujyn Cleansing Foam ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0036MDUEM/ref=sxts1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1482935590&sr=1 )

HL's cleansing foam didn't do me any good either. But I switched to Su:m32's Cleansing Rose Stick and it's been amazing since. (Please note: if you are allergic to coconut, don't use this.)

My BF is on the CosRX good morning cleansing foam and hasn't had any issues yet and he has more acne-prone skin than I do.

I don't wear foundation or heavy makeup usually, so I don't normally have to worry about getting my skin rid of all of that stuff. when I do wear it, I have a 50/50 chance of either just using my cleansing stick or using my oil cleanser which is The Face Shop's Rice Water Bright cleansing oil.

I haven't had any issues with the oil causing any clogging or acne issues. I'd look up reviews for both and see what you think. The cleansing stick is more expensive than the oil, but you use /so little of it/ for each cleanse that honestly it will last you a long long time even with daily use. I normally use one pump of the oil (1/2 pump at a time) but it does naturally seem to go faster than the rest of my stuff.

I think that no matter what products you get though, the initial cost for them is going to be over 20$ just because of shipping and all that.

I think that returning the cleanser might be the best bet. The issue with high pH cleansers is that they can really do a number on your moisture barrier. I think that a high pH cleanser could make your dehydration worse, more than potentially too much physical exfoliation would.

In terms of cleansers, I really love the Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash. It has SLS in it which some people are sensitive to, but I find that it foams up nicely and works well for my skin. Plus there's no scent. Here's a link for a US based retailer: http://www.cupidrop.com/products/enzyme-powder-wash. The other cleanser that works really well for me is the Sum37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick. Fair warning though it does contain coconut oil, which breaks some people out, and it smells strongly of rose. It's also a bit pricier than the powder wash but does last for 3 or 4 months with twice daily use. A link: http://www.amazon.com/LG-Su-Miracle-Cleansing-Cleanser/dp/B00EIMU3NU. Also sorry I don't have any recommendations of more traditional low pH foaming cleansers! I used Neutrogena acne washes before switching over to the MRCS and that one really lasted me a loooong time.

Ugh I am in the same boat. I really really like the stick. I was looking around at other stick cleanser recommendations on this sub, and this su:um 27 stick came up, and it has really good reviews on amazon. BUT, it is the same price as the tarte stick at $22 on the tarte website. I don't think we will find any stick cleansers in a drugstore price range :(

Hmmm, I don't know where you are using Amazon, but the Amazon US site doesn't seem to have a seller called "su:m37" that sells MRCS that I can see. This is the list that I see, and you can evaluate the sellers based on their reviews and ratings.

Well, I've never done such a thing so I don't really know how to help. What are you already using? That might help us figure out what you like.

My inclination would be to abandon everything but a cleanser and sunscreen to limit what you have to lug around! Maybe a mini tub of Vaseline too for any blisters/dry skin at night/for lips/stuck zippers. A powder cleanser like this one or a stick cleanser like this might be a good so you don't have to carry around a bottle of soap that might leak. (those are quite popular on /r/AsianBeauty)

Alternatively, if adding water is inconvenient you could go for a cold cream, cleansing wipes, or oil. The advantage of oil is, if tea tree oil works for you you can add that in to combat acne.

Haha.. funny story, I haven't gotten it as yet! D:

I just know how well it works because one of my friends just came back from Korea and she's alllllllll up in the beauty products there. She let me put some on my hand just to see how it worked and I loved the smell as the texture. It was super gentle, but that doesn't say much for a hand..

And as for where I personally bought it? Ebay. There was a seller selling it for like $44.99 but I bought mine for $40.00 - seems he raised the price after people starting buying a lot of them.

Here is a link to Amazon

There aren't anymore sold online by eBay, so I think he may have run out D:

longtime lurker and also a victim of Neutrogena’s cleansers - I used Gentle Cleanser and would experience that same face tightness that at the time I thought was just a “clean feeling”: found out that it’s a sign that you’re likely drying your skin out. After using it for so long my skin started getting these large, scaly, dry patches, so no bueno.

It really does depend on your skin type, I tried the Garnier Micellar water and it didn’t really do it for me because my skin is so oily and prone to blackheads, so I just switched to a gentler cleanser. Shameless plug to r/AsianBeauty as they have some pretty quality gentle cleansers; I’m personally using the Su:m37 rose stick (Amazon, currently unavailable and just recently was recommended by a good friend to try Oxy Sensitive Advanced Face Wash which has done so many wonders for my occasional hormonal whiteheads and enlarged pores. If you’re in the US, it’s usually at a department store for like $4.

It’s also suuuuper beneficial to have a good moisturizer, no matter if your skin is oily or not.

Hope this helped some! Good luck on your skincare journey! Don’t forget to keep in mind ingredients that might irritate your skin, and patch test patch test patch test.

ps. i’m on mobile so formatting might be crap, sorry in advance

Hi hi! Wow so I'm super super new to AB, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try :)

My favourite product/holy grail is S:um Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick. Not only is Rose kind of my "thing" (I wear rose perfume every day, along with a silver rose necklace and ring- it's kind of a theme) but it's also drastically improved my skin.

I've always had acne, but it's never been too terrible. After using this rose cleansing stick my skin feels so much lighter and fresher, and not dry at all~!

As a side note, thank you so much for doing something so nice like this. It's people like you that really make this community seem so open and welcoming!
