That monitor is no good 60hz is way to slow to view memes in their true dankness. Here is a 240hz monitor. https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-XL2540-Screen-LED-lit-Monitor/dp/B01MCYUV19

I say if you can afford it, go overkill. Less regret later that way.

Also if you are serious about high refresh rates, check out this monitor

1ms response time 240hz 1080p monitor. one that fps esports players use is this: https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-Response-eQualizer-Adjustable-XL2540/dp/B01MCYUV19

These panels are all about speed and minimal delay rather than graphics quality, so they're mainly used for FPS esports games. If you play games like CSGO or Overwatch these types of monitors are ideal, but not for games like witcher 3 where immersion and graphical quality is more important than fps and response time. IPS panels are not ideal, as they generally have more delay, and 1440hz or 4k are also not ideal because you may not be able to push enough frames, especially for PUBG which is super poorly optimized. CSGO and OW may still possibly be able to run 240fps on a 1440hz or maybe even 4k display(there are no 240hz displays though lol), but I'm not sure exactly. But if you're not absolutely serious and 100% devoted to having an advantage in FPS games, a 1080ti with a 1080p monitor may be kind of a waste when you play other kinds of games.

edit: also as a suggestion for mice, lighter mouses are ideal for FPS games with optical sensors. Some great examples that FPS pros use are the ZOWIE FK1/2 or the ZOWIE EC2/a/b/1/a/b series, or the Finalmouse Ultralight. Logitech g403, Steelseries Rival 600, and Razer death adder elite are also pretty good, but the Zowie and the Ultralight are the most e-sports player approved.

They lower the price every October from the looks of it

They probably do that because of Black Friday and because of the new color scheme Divina XL2546

Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor: AW2518H - Would be the top end if you were to want to have gsync, downside its the most expensive.

Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor: AW2518HF - Would be my recommendation if you were to sacrifice gsync in favor of price.

BenQ Zowie XL2540 - Is common monitor among the pro scene, i personally prefer the design of the AW but that more a personal preference.

I had both a 1440p 144hz and now a 1080p 240hz. Honestly both are great for RL. 1440p one was nice cause I was using it for work as well and the extra pixels were nice.

The jump from 60 to 144hz was much more noticeable and bigger game changer. 240hz is a luxury.

If you’re gonna use it for just gaming and don’t mind spending extra for it, go for 240hz.

If you’re gonna use it for programming or something as well then 1440p @ 144hz is really great.

This is the 240hz monitor I have now w/ no regrets (just a lighter wallet):

> https://www.amazon.com.au/Strix-35-Inch-Screen-Monitor-XG35VQ/dp/B077M81YJ2 Who's deluded?

As far as cars go, there's only Ferrari's. All other cars are clearly not cars.

https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-Response-Equalizer-Adjustable-XL2540/dp/B01MCYUV19

This clearly isn't a 240hz monitor for 399.

Predators are always solid monitors.

This

Or

Are two other good choices.

u/wawasbootcamp · 2 pointsr/OverwatchUniversity

OH, I'm sorry. I'll add this to the post but each of these brands basically has a newer version of those same monitors also. ASUS & BenQ.

u/Dialga_SSBM · 2 pointsr/SSBM

Hey, I have $500 to blow on getting a monitor that will allow for netplay to run s m o o t h a s f u c k. I already have a computer that will allow for quite literally anything, but I'm stuck between these two monitors. One is 240hz and 1080p, the other is 144hz 1440p. Here they are if you want to see them. https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-Response-eQualizer-Adjustable-XL2540/dp/B01MCYUV19 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H5KKVME?ref=emc_b_5_i so, which one should I get? (btw I'm a sheik main and anything which could help my reaction tech chasing is GREATLY appreciated)

u/Zulunko · 2 pointsr/RocketLeague

I know this is irrelevant now, but BenQ has a 240Hz monitor. I don't use it, so no idea how good it is, but the technology is getting there.

u/patriotsfan1212 · 1 pointr/Monitors

yeah but id be blown away if it wasnt okay for gsync.. the 250q is listed on there website so there is no way the newer better version wouldnt be.. but i guess there is a chance it wouldnt idk.. but yeah thast my main concern is that i get like a 2080 and it wont work with the monitor for shit.. my entire goal of pc gaming is high frames in overwatch and csgo... i saw the $399 benq.. its free and g sync.. so thats my backup if i dont get the 252q.. i mean u have it.. you have any issues? do you have a high end graphics card?

u/EddyScanlan · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

The difference in response time between the TN and IPS version is probably not noticeable unless you're playing at the absolute highest level.

If it helps, all but 1 Rocket League pro uses this BenQ monitor, but this is another price bracket entirely: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MCYUV19/

u/BakedBreadReddit · 1 pointr/Monitors

Ok here's the link you are going to haft to switch between the 2: 240hz display

u/crazygoalie39 · 1 pointr/Competitiveoverwatch

These two BenQ monitors would be the ones that I recommend. 144hz or 240hz. I haven't gotten to check any of the upcoming Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals yet though, so I'm not sure if they're going to be on sale.

u/xColaDoo · 1 pointr/Monitors

better than this https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-Response-Equalizer-Adjustable-XL2540/dp/B01MCYUV19 I dont understand all these fancy words they use

u/repfam4life · 1 pointr/Monitors

Thank you so much for the help! I also saw this PC on amazon, any thoughts on this, thanks!

Also i am not absolutely sure on getting a dual monitor, when i looked around people said this is a good one. What are your thoughts on this? Thank you.

Also, if you have any keyboard or mouse you can recommend that would be great.

u/HuntingViper · 1 pointr/buildapc

What do you think about this one for CSGO?

u/xsirxx · 1 pointr/Monitors

If you are going to spend that kind of money on a fast monitor, have you heard of the BenQ ZOWIE? 240hz 24.5"

https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-eQualizer-Adjustable-Vibrance-XL2540/dp/B01MCYUV19/

EDIT: Do you want a 1440p or speed? Or both?

u/3dgy-name · 1 pointr/Amd

The BenQ XL2540 has a pre-order price of $500 from some retailers. I expect it to be one of the more expensive choices due to the Zowie esports marketing. Listed at 24.5"

Amazon already has a product page for it so I would assume the release date is somewhat near. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MCYUV19/ref=twister_B01MYNQSNL?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

The XL2540 is not advertised to have Freesync but AMD's own monitor list shows that it does. 48-240Hz via DisplayPort; 48-240 via HDMI 2.0

u/samtherat6 · 1 pointr/nvidia

No one here is arguing that you need a 2080 for 1080p 60Hz. You do realize that you can have 1080p 240Hz? Like you get that's a possibility? Those panels very much exist. I don't know why you keep bringing up 1080p 60Hz like it's the peak refresh rate for 1080p.

And even the 2080Ti can't get 144Hz at 1440p, let alone 240Hz. And again, the difference between the 2080 and 2080 Ti is barely distinguishable at 1080p currently because of the CPU bottleneck. But there still is a noticeable difference between the 2080 and the 1080 Ti, and a massive difference between the 980 Ti and 1080 Ti at 1080p. You most definitely cannot max out 1080p on 4 year old GPUs. And throughout this entire debate, we haven't even bought up RTX.

Looking for any input between Acer XB241H vs BenQ XL2540 XL, is the 240hz worth extra price? I am running a GTX1070

They exsist, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MCYUV19/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_j8pBzb91WEDMQ
But you're probably right in that they aren't using them

u/RyanGBaker · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Go TN if you want 144hz. VA is close enough to IPS that you probably won't miss it. Also, maybe consider this 240hz TN panel for $500.

u/AssCrustt · 1 pointr/GlobalOffensive

Yeah im pretty sure there is ton of monitors with higher rates than 144 hz. For example I found this 240 hz monitor.

u/SoSpecial · 1 pointr/buildapc

Benq already has a 240hz monitor that I know Seagull uses.
