I bought a 8" foam mattress from Amazon over a year ago. I was skeptical, but for ~$200, it was worth it (and I needed a Mattress, ASAP).
They sent it to me vacuum sealed, which was amazing! You opened the box and opened the seal.. and there it goes! It sucked up all the air, and filled out super fast.
Its an amazing mattress. Still as firm as the day I bought it. Seriously, this is the best mattress I've ever slept on and it was delivered to my door! And you can't beat the price.
IMO, worth it from Amazon. The foam mattresses are wonderful (Can't comment on spring, but I highly suggest the foam mattresses, they are much more firm than you think!). My only suggestion is make sure you buy a cover for your mattress!

I got this one and it's surprisingly good. Great for the price, but I should have gone w/ the 12. If I had gone wit the 12 inch I would have kept it until it wore out.

I slept on it for the first time last night and it was sooooo comfy. I was very skeptical at first since it's so cheap, but I'm happy I bought it. I have a twin so I can't tell you for sure that the queen is big enough. However, the twin was exactly the right size.
You can get a queen memory foam mattress on Amazon for just over $200. I have one and it's great.
