I need a smooth pen that's low-smudge due to the wacky way I hold a pen, and I also like to have a unique brand so that coworkers can't steal them, and if they do I can point out I'm the only person who uses the BIC Atlantis. Very smooth without leaving those awful smudges that G2s are notorious for because of slower-drying ink.

Not pictured:
-nice shears clipped to belt with carabiner which is also nice for holding keys
-Stethoscope with belt holder
-clicky top pens
-I also like parker pens if you can get them in bulk
-smartphone with pepid - expensive but has drugs and quickie reads on even rare conditions, has a few holes, but pretty good
-personalized stamp with DEA, LIC, NPI
-spectralink phone provided by hospital with outside dial able number
-cherokee personalized scrub top, landau poplin personalized coat (feels nice, fits well, inexpensive), carhartt cargos (hard to find), comfy shoes
Made complete list so I can come back and reorder stuff, hehe
BIC Atlantis pens. I write on lots of dirty paper at work and these pens write smoothly no matter what. Pretty durable and long lasting too for less than $1 a pen. I buy BIC Atlantis in bulk. They're smooth, light, relatively durable, and I have never, ever known one to run out of ink. They usually get stolen before that. I carry at least two of these things everywhere. The older, plastic clips are prone to snapping if kept in a thick pocket for too long, but the newer metal ones are a touch more durable.
