Sad but true: Cerave isn't for everyone.

I'd start with the Dehydrated Skin Guide (humectants) and add one of the Acne Guide actives after ~2 weeks (SAP is the gentlest, whereas BP and SA may irritate sensitive skin). Continue for ~1 month, and see where your skin is at. Also, sunscreen is a must for rosacea - sun exposure is a common trigger for flare ups - and mineral/physical sunscreens are reccomended.

Personally, I don't have rosacea but I do have delicate, incredibly reactive skin. My best advice is to patch test everything and keep ingredients as simple as possible to make it easy to identify irritants. Some products that have worked for me are:

Cleanser - Bioderma Sebium H2O Micellar Water + microfiber cloth

SAP - Derma-e Vitamin C Serum

Humectants - Timeless Squalane, Rose Water + Glycerin (DIY, 10% Glycerin in a Target spray bottle),

Occlusives - Good Ol' Aquaphor

Mineral/Physical Sunscreen - Neutrogena Sheer Zinc SPF 50

YYMV!

I just signed up for a free "treatment" at Curology too! What was the formulation they gave you?

So for starters, I'd change your cleanser. Use one of the acidic pH (<6.0 pH) creamy “Holy Grail” cleansers: CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser or La Roche Posay Toleriane Hydrating Cleanser. Some folks really love the [Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser] (https://www.neutrogena.com/skin/skin-cleansers/ultra-gentle-hydrating-cleanser/6887296.html?cgid=skin-cleansers#sz=20&start=41) but I’ve seen the pH on this come out btwn 5-7 so up to you. These are tried and true gentle cleansers which won't strip your skin and will help keep your skin barrier intact, particularly if you’re then applying any actives to your face, which you will probably be doing with Curology! Clinical studies have shown that an acidic pH (less than 6.0 pH) is less bacteria-friendly while an alkaline cleanser, high pH (greater than 6.0 pH), contributes to the proliferation of acne bacteria on the skin.

-- Neutrogena Deep Clean cleanser: nothing special. It has a low pH of 4.7 but the salicylic acid in it is being washed off so it’s doesn't have a chance to be effective. You could keep using it as a basic cleanser/body wash but I don't think it's doing you any favors for your face.

-- Neutrogena Clear Pore cleanser: Couldn't find the pH of this. I believe Benzoyl Peroxide can be effective even if washed off, however, I think using this as a leave on spot treatment would be more effective so I'd use it like that.

-- Dove soap: It has a pH of 7 - 7.5 so def stop using this on your face.

-- Olay makeup remove wet cloths: I'd stop using these as a sole cleanser because you’re “wiping” on makeup remover and then leaving the cleansing agents and makeup residue sit on your skin all night. I couldn't find the pH level of this specific one but similar wipes come in at high pH >6.7. If you love the convenience factor of cloths, try [Bioderma Sensibio H2O Biodegradable Facial Cleansing and Makeup Remover Wipes for Face and Eyes] (https://smile.amazon.com/Bioderma-Sensibio-Biodegradable-Cleansing-Remover/dp/B01CDPCWYG/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_510_bs_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=SE2QBVE8JMDFWJFG9CGR). I believe the facial wipes are the [Bioderma Sebium H2O Micellar Water Solution] (https://smile.amazon.com/Bioderma-Sebium-Micellar-Water-16-7/dp/B002LA1D9Y/ref=sr_1_3_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1524592096&sr=1-3&keywords=S%C3%A9bium&th=1) but in wipe form. The solution is a pH of 4 – 5.

Rx: If you don't see results with the Curology formulation, I'd seek out a dermatologist for an Rx for Doxycycline (anti-biotic which reduces inflammation) and or Spironolactone (suppresses androgen).

Digestive: You might find eating less sugary foods, wheat and/or dairy might reduce your flare ups. Very hard to eliminate all or any of these, but you could experiment. I think Curology also suggests reviewing dietary habits. I know for me, when I eat a lot of sugary high glycemic load foods, my face pays for it with nodule cystic acne. I'm battling one now that I'm pretty sure can be seen from outerspace...
