I think Crocs are great for the garden. That's what they were made for. IMO, that's where they should have stayed.
I don't think they're any great shakes. But then, what your body says trumps even the most professional of opinions.
I always recommend any Crocs fan to try the shoe that they shamelessly ripped off in the first place.

birkenstock kitchen clogs. They are non slip and super comfy.
My dad teaches culinary school and swears by these! I found this sub on accident, but seriously he runs his through the dishwasher to sanitize them. There's some heel but it's not too big. I've worn shoes with big heels and I'm already 6'2 so I sympathize with you there.
Wear these. This is what we use in kitchens. They are comfy, easy on your feet, enhance your posture and are non-slip.
