Summoning price zombie. It's the best price for this COLOR, but no the blue yeti in general. I think the best price overall for the silver was 74.99 this is 79.99 still a great deal for a usb microphone.

I also own the blackout version of this microphone, AMA if you have any concerns :P Pretty much the best recommended USB mic for youtube/twitch/skype ever. Also this listing has FREE one day shipping, so that's good for chrismas :3
Maybe an Audio Technica 2020.
Edit: Here's a list of Amazon Links for mics that should do fine for under $100. Mind you, these aren't going to be as good as more expensive mics.

(This next one has a used one for under a hundred. Just over a hundred for new.)

Edit 2:
If you want something pretty good even cheaper, this one will actually do you fine. You might notice a difference, but you also might not. It should be perfectly adequate if you don't intend to do anything more than amateur work.

Zombait! Hello fellow kiwi! I've just been in the same boat as you, I wanted to upgrade my microphone (had a $10 Dick Smiths one) and wanted something much better.
I know everything is super expensive here but I spent about 6 months watching stores in NZ and online to find a place that was affordable. I made my decision only 2 weeks ago, so here we go:
I realised I only wanted to invest in a great microphone once, so after looking for reviews of microphones (only wanted USB) my list contained:
$ = Price range
In the end, I choose to go after the Blue Yeti because it's an superb product, plus many other LPers have them and rate them highly. All of them are great mics though.
Places that listed the Blue Yeti in New Zealand include:
After looking online for a couple of months, I kept coming back to Amazon as they are a very established brand, and I trust them.
They stock multiple colours of the Blue products, but generally only one is available to be sent overseas (took a lot of trail and error). For the Blue Yeti, the Platinum Version here is only Yeti available with overseas shipping.
Here is the breakdown of cost (product still has 33% discount).
Item Subtotal: USD $149.99
Item including Discount: USD $99.99
-----
Item(s) Subtotal: NZD $126.03
Shipping & Handling: NZD $39.43
-----
Total before tax: NZD $165.46
Sales Tax: NZD $0.00
-----
Total for This Shipment: NZD $165.46
The shipping was $40 for the 7-10 working day delivery. There is a 2-4 working day delivery, but just go for 7-10 days as I purchased this one and received mine in 5 working days (1 week from purchase) which made me a happy chap.
$165.46 NZD is MUCH cheaper than the $300 that Apple wanted, and I received it in a week, ready to go. So happy with this purchase.
Hopefully that al helped, if you have any more questions, feel free to either reply to this or PM me.
Cheers! Jack.

If you're on a budget, I got some acoustic foam blocks like these from ebay and it made a huge difference. You don't even have to hang them, just glue them to some foam board or attach to a PVC pipe frame and make yourself a small DIY recording booth.
My gf uses a Blue Yeti microphone to record ASMR videos and the quality is incredible.
holy crap the price went up 40 euros lol. But if you look at the warehouse deals, you can get one for 98 euros in silver and it says the only thing that could be in not new condition is the packaging http://www.amazon.de/gp/offer-listing/B008F4USMS/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used
I got mine the same way. I first got a black one of a warehouse deal for 98 euros and it worked and looked absolutely flawless, then I got a 100 euro gift card and returned the black one and bought a silver one of a warehouse deal for 99 euros and that one is flawless too. You get get the full 30 days amazon moneyback guarantee for the warehouse deal so there is no risk at all...
Well, if everyone is in the room, the phone is effective. The Yeti Snowball and Yeti Blue are also pretty effective as budget room mics. You can find video of their use on YouTube
Yeah, I didn't know there was any without it?
Mine is the Platinum Edition to be exact, as you can see it here on Amazon.
A Gift Card would be wonderful as I could apply it towrds more ink for my writing or a microphone for podcasting!
Thank You Easter Bunny for the contest \^_^
Sure thing! This is what I use (sorry, it's an Australian link but if you look for the Blue Yeti on your Amazon I'm sure they sell it)

My mic is better for podcasting (two people facing each other) and surround sound. If you want something more compact but with the same audio quality and just a one-way direction, then the Blue Snowball is also amazing.
I'm not affiliated with Blue or Amazon (I rarely buy anything on Amazon) but I think my Blue Yeti is a high-quality USB mic and I've heard that the lower-priced Snowball is good too.
