I had a cornea transplant last November. My keratoconus hydropped and I was blind for awhile in my right eye before the surgery.

If you still have the really bad night dryness I suggest getting gel drops. I use the genteal gel every night to help keep mine hydrated. Word of caution, this gel is goopy when it goes on. I tend to associate it with the feeling of someone accidentally jizzing in your eye. I'm going to assume you have never had this happen though. So, lets just say it isn't a pleasant sensation.

Also, for eye drops a more viscous drop will help more than just regular drops do. Boston makes a solution for rigid gas permeable contact lenses. I use this instead of the regular eye drops. It seems to hydrate and coat my cornea longer.

Both of these can be found at Wal-Mart. Don't get them at CVS or Walgreens because they give you a small tube at a ridiculous price.

I use these about five times a day along with a steroid to help keep my eye from rejecting the cornea down the road.

Also when my cornea dries out I can feel the stitches and my eye lid tends to stick to my cornea too. I just lift the lid up gently and put the Boston in and after I get it open just put a little of the genteal drops in.

I'm glad your cornea has healed all the way with out any serious harm.
