Seriously, if you want a second-person story that will knock your socks off, I recommend Bright Lights, Big City by Jay McInerney. Might just change your mind.
I have two that were well known in their day, but seem neglected now (at least in my experience):
Ginger Man is a 1950s precursor to Fear and Loathing. It takes place in Dublin, replaces drugs with alcohol, but has a similar individualist protagonist and wonderful prose.
Bright Lights, Big City is the only book I've read written in the 2nd person, and he pulls it off amazingly well. "You" are a young office worker in New York City in the 1980s trying to right yourself after being left by your wife.
